Time and again we see, both mathematically and on the field, that sacrifice bunts are a bad choice. Like here. The notion that it's automatic that the sac bunt is successful is simply erroneous. But even if successful trading a base for an out is a poor choice
There is no automatic in baseball. I’ve never heard anyone say that. But there are indeed circumstances where gaining a base for an out is good strategy. The most obvious is the sac fly to score a run, but also hitting to the right side to move a runner over.
@@bradevans5566 taking a full swing that results in a base for an out trade is not at all what my post said, or intended. My comment only references bunt sacrifices
What year are you talking about ? Because the Twins are 10 games behind as of Sept.28
Wild card not division.
@@mbdg6810 title still doesn't make sense. they are 7 games behind the Orioles, 4 games behind the Tigers, and 3 behind the the Royals. So how did that one game matter so much?
Jeffers has been playing like crap for the last couple of months. Not sure what Santana was doing though. I get that you’re kind of caught leaning towards third, but you’ve got to at least make an effort to get back.
The Twins will be a dumb team as long as they have a dumb manager.
That's why you are taught to catch ball with 2 hands!
The stadium was empty..
And Rocco keeps his Job. The fans who show up are now the dumbest play
For some reason bunting is a lost art in baseball.
Look at that fan support! Hundreds and hundreds of fans! Typical Twin Cities.
Folks, they've been playing baseball for 185 years and they've had MLB playoffs for 57 seasons now. Whenever you see a headline promising the somethingest something "ever"--it's not, just straight off the bat...all you're getting is some disgruntled fan hyperbolizing. Add to that that here, the headline promises "dumbest ever," but the narrator only delivers "maybe" the "worst" play "this season." Yeah--avoid the clickbait, don't reward these people.
Nobody teaches the bunt anymore, bc good bunters don't make the big bucks.
I hope Twins fans aren't shocked.
Why is the crowd so scarce??
I watched the video on the promise that I'd see the "DUMBEST play ever". However, I now realize that the video title was just more clickbait B.S.
Twins deserved to be eliminated, and now they're being sold.
Correa is a waste, so is Jeffers, Buxton is professionally injured, Royce Lewis appears to be also, and their pitching staff is underperforming.
I love it. Hate the TWINS. the only stupid team that offered Correa a contract , after SF voided theirs . So dumb
This finish was the final part of the Arraez trade
Same thing happened to the mariners
