This is so good. I’m in my 42 year of marriage. Neither of us came from healthy marriages. We have 3 children, all married. Our children didn’t see healthy marriage in many instances. I am working on healthy marriage. I’m changing my responses. I’m hoping that at least my kids will see the change and learn.
Such a good episode, even for single people like me who came here just to learn for the future, but it turns out that applies as well to my relationship with Jesus too.
I am Fifi. Putting this comment again on your videos, to emphasize the profoundness and importance of your teachings. I am watching from South Africa family. I love your teachings; they really sound like they are Holy Spirit inspired. If it was possible to book a day long (or even more) session just to sit and listen to the wisdom you guys exude, I'd be a much better person in no time. I love that you do not exalt yourselves and act holier than thou, your content is totally relatable. I love you Mr & Mrs Bevere. ❤
Sooooo God had a reel from this episode come across my Instagram to give me a reality check on what I truly signed up for in marriage under God!!!😮💨😮💨😮💨 Thank y’all for your obedience to speak the truth on what God says about what a covenant is and isn’t between a husband and wife! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this podcast! It has opened my eyes and helped me see I have been focusing too much on me and not being obedient to do my part as a godly wife. I have repented and asked God to help me do my part and trust Him with the rest
This is so helpful. I feel like I'm starting over since my husband has some dementia and has changed into a person I don't know. Nevertheless, my commitment and vows remain. I love that this process is making me more holy and more like Jesus. Thanks for the affirming messages that encourage me to keep going. I had already figured out that thinking "what about me" was going nowhere. I wasn't sure what God was doing with me, but was trusting Him all the way. Thanks again.
This was perfect timing for me. Thank you so much for being faithful to put these podcasts out! I hadn’t realised that my “audience” was my extended family and friends, making sure that I was prioritising time with them rather than my husband! Instead of him coming first on the weekends, I would quickly fill up the calendar with catch ups with people every single week. We were exhausted! And we would only get a short amount of time to invest into our relationship, and this would happen week after week, month after month… I’m looking forward to changing my priorities and making sure that my husband knows that he’s number one, not anyone else. ❤️ There’s a time to invest in others, but if my husband and kids aren’t thriving than something needs to change
Thank you for this message! The part that spoke to me most was how unfaithfulness in the relationship begins with the thoughts and images we allow to fester in our minds. We can’t control whether a bird chooses to land on our heads, but we can prevent it from building a nest. I’m so looking forward to parts II & III!
❤This convo is so good! 8 years ago my husband walked away from our 30 year marriage and ministry. So many things you touched on, we walked through… but in the end I could see the “slow fade” of his loyalty in our marriage. Now as I wait on a God for an equally yoked relationship in my life… I see Micah 6:8 as important truths for nurturing and navigating ANY relationship.
These 2 recent podcasts you've both done are so timely for me and I'm looking forward to going through the rest. God is really using you both to be part of the solution to a difficult time in my life, it feels as if He got you to do the 2 podcasts just for me (although I He didn't but it feels so personal). Thank you both and God bless you and your family 💞
Keep on doing padcast Mr and Mrs Bevere. It’s on my thought to provide a bigger studio space (to have Audience inside) for you and your family’s padcast that help all of us in teaching God’s words and God’s Heart to each and every human being on earth.
Hi john and Lisa I luv these marriage de briefs, we All need to learn more about ourselves and spouses to improve and grow and even save our marriages from being dysfunctional and selfishness Please keep up these very much needed and valuable talks xxx John you held a conference at City lLife
I have a close friend who has been married 25 years and they are both believers. However, her husband treats her horribly and manipulates and controls her. Several years ago he made it clear that the only reason he is still married to her is because he made "covenant" with God, but if it weren't for that he'd be gone, because he doesn't love her or even like her anymore. My friend is a prayer warrior and I've watched her pray and believe for God to restore the marriage for years, but she's starting to feel hopeless and the words he speaks over her daily are cruel. They've gotten counseling multiple times over the years, but he ends it as soon as the counselor doesn't agree with him. I don't even know what to say to her anymore, but it breaks my heart to see her treated this way. Can you speak to that?
My answer here for your friend is God absolutely does allow permanent divorce/no reconciliation ever ever ever ever. And God is all about protecting His amazing Godly daughters from harm!!!! Hope this answer helps you!!!:)
Leslie Vernick has an excellent ministry on distinguishing between relationships that are unhealthy vs destructive vs abusive. I strongly encourage your friend to check it out.
Do you what your friend needs more than advice, is friendship. It isn’t up to you to decide for her, however, you can be someone who she can receive God’s love and care from. We mistake our roles in our friends lives as the Holy Spirit ie needing to have the answers for everyone. You cannot have the answer for your friend, you don’t know her tomorrow or her husband’s. The Holy Spirit, in contrast does. He knows her Saviour and as a result can impart his Salvation to her. When we think we have to rescue, fix and be someone’s answers that is when we overstep our role as friend. The journey she is on is as a prayer warrior is one that is between her and God. God’s heart is relationship and as difficult as it is what she is going through, he is able to support her through this darkness. He will give her choices and lead her in those choices. I am saying this as someone who has and is still on a similar journey. I am sure I frustrate family and friends by not doing their advice, but ultimately this is a journey I am on with God. It requires a trust and faith relationship that goes beyond the well meaning advice of man.
Very good conversation! Much Godly wisdom! One note- Genesis 2:24 says they will be one FLESH. Not just one. That is different than being one as souls. We are still unique individuals in the sight of God who will answer separately for our own lives. Marriage is an earthly institution God gave to men and women. But it ends when one spouse, or both, die. Paul called it a mystery and linked it to Christ and the church. Anyhow, I've heard this a couple times recently and it's not a good translation of Scripture to leave out 'flesh'.
Great message full of do able ways to have positivity in a marriage ❗🎯i wish i had this information when i was married, i may still be but such as life❗Thanks for sharing ❗❤️✝️☮️🛐✡️🕎🇮🇱🇺🇲🌏🌎🌍❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥
What about when the wife is being emotionally abused by her husband? What about the husband texting and sending pictures to other women other than the spouse during the whole marriage and when he is confronted by the wife and adult children and he denied it, then what?
How do we know what is thoughts from Satan or God? I struggle with thoughts of what my husband is doing on his phone...unfortunately he has done things with other women since 2020..I'm still struggling with what to do , has he changed this time, is he lying, have I become obsessed with what he is doing...it make me feels nuts..is this Satan toying with me or am I getting a nudge from God to be aware of what my husband is doing. 😢
File for permanent divorce from your husband you can’t be married to someone who is always/endless lying to you/ cheating on you God doesn’t want that for you at all Jesus loves you. And wants you to be safe:) And He loves you so so so much!! And Jesus allows permanent divorce so that you will be protected!! And your life is not over just because you got divorced!!! And Jesus will heal your heart I promise you that He has healed my heart completely and I have been permanently divorced from my husband/now ex husband for 10+ years now. And God has given me a brand new happy/exciting life :) And He will do the same with you all you have to do is ask Jesus to heal your heart. And give you a brand new life. And He will :)
You know it could be either one, Satan or God but it’s important to understand God won’t make you feel overwhelmingly anxious or spiraling in thoughts and paranoia. It could be Satan using the past to worry you and sometimes it can even be yourself leading you into negative patterns (I did the same so I know) invite God in, really giving Him all your cares and anxieties, pray in the spirit and He will be faithful to reveal what’s going on in your heart. He will impress upon you if your husband is being unfaithful, a strong knowing and will reveal to you the step you need to take to address it . From a wife to another wife especially if there has been unfaithfulness in the past and potentially on multiple accounts. There needs to be boundaries set in place to protect the covenant. All passwords to all devices shared, freedom for both spouses to go on one another’s devices at anytime, maybe even location sharing, protective software maybe to help block porn etc. he may not like it at first and it may be met with resistance but if you both truly want to have a healthy marriage and protect it you both will put the work in and the boundaries in place. 🙏🏼❤️
I pray for peace, wisdom and understanding for you. I pray God would reveal the truth to you in love and guide you to the right decision. Seek Him in prayer and I believe He will show you what to do.
When you have a relationship with Jesus and listen for His guidance He will let you know if your husband has truly changed or not. Trust is hard to get back. I’m sorry this happened.
Thank you everyone! I truly am thankful! I do know God would not lead me to a place of anxiety and stress but it's all just a hard road to walk. I do they to give it to God but I am so consumed with it I fear I don't do it wholeheartedly. I will be sure to do that and see how it goes. I definitely need to do something as thw stress has been weighing on me and not in a good way. Thank you all.
If marriage is so important to God, why does He deny it for so many of us? Especially those of us who are not called to singleness either in nature of the dreams/desires God puts on our hearts.
I believe some things you just have to wait on His timing for. Maybe you're denied it for a time, but not your whole life. A child may be denied sweets through the week, but on Saturday he gets one. Sometimes God makes us wait so he can prepare us for what's to come, work on our relationship with him, or to fulfill other duties and/or reasons. Hang in there and continue being faithful to Him.
@@DaniellePalomadoI believed that BS for over 30 years. All God had was to torment and hurt me the whole time. I waited and waited and waited, but God never came through and now it’s too late. I Reilly regret ever trusting God. He has denied every last thing that ever mattered for my whole life. I truly despair at the thought of having to spend eternity with God. He is horrible and mean and nothing more

Turn on the comment section for “Does the Bible Permit a Woman to Teach?” You speak on Genesis supporting women having spiritual authority over men and being able to teach, but neglect the order that Paul specifically mentions, that God created man first, not women. Not in the order or importance, but of responsibility and roles. But I’m not surprised. Oh well.
While I do understand and agree with much of what you say, the provocative tone your comment suggests is a problem. If you truly believe in the Word of God as the ultimate authority then let the Lord Jesus search your heart and be humble enough to admit that mockery is wrong and so is sowing strife into a comment section of a Jesus Christ honoring video and may be just what someone needed to hear when they watched it. That is not the sort of thing we should be doing as fellow disciples of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I pray that you would seek to have a tender heart like that of Lord Jesus for God and others, and you would seek to have the Mind of Christ. In Jesus' name, Amen. ❤
