    Exceptional point on: making God your more than enough, so you’re not depending on your spouse to make you happy🔥

    "A BAD SEASON DOES NOT MEAN THE END OF A MARRIAGE".
    Thank you for raising that point!
    I was married at 19, with a child already in the picture, still in university. I literally did not have a career-type job!
    The statistics for such a marriage were grim: we had about a 50/50 chance of making it more than a couple of years.
    Bless God, we learned that lesson about getting through the bad seasons and 2025 will be our 45th wedding anniversary! 3 kids and 11 grand-kids.
    Thankfully, somewhere we learned that marriage requires work and that it's not all going to be bliss but that it's worth it to stay together.

    I just want to say that no matter how good you think you have it, there is always room to improve upon yourselves and your union of marriage. I am going on 28 years of a good, God-fearing marriage and am learning so much from listening to you two. I love you both. Thank you for your continued commitment to share God's principals and contribute toward shaping the lives of others.

    Love to tell ya how i have been married for 18 years to my beautiful wife. For 17 years i didn't love her. I mentally abused her. Never physically abuse. I dont do that. But i destroyed her heart. Gave her ptsd. It was last year when God told me that my wife was my gift 20 years ago. Since i started loving god more than anything god did gave me the gift to truly love my wife.

      @jedecouvrelhebreudanslabib4930 my wife is the happiest she has ever been. And I thank God every single day for healing us and for continuing healing us. We truly give all the glory to God. Just 2 weeks ago we was cuddling and she told me that she is the happiest she has ever been now. And she was thanking me for coming back to her. Like I always tell her is to thank God not me.

    At 19:00. I have known many couples who had a year or more of a rough patch in their marriage. Most got over it in time.

    When you seek advice from people who know and love you but not your partner, it's definitely the worst. I did this and it ended up breaking up my family. I mean, we couldn't go out together to eat or have fun because it was awkward and my husband is not a Christian, so it was a disaster. But thanks to our Heavenly Father who makes everything beautiful in its time, we did reconcile and mend our relationship. This shows how important it is to choose well, because in my mind I thought “they are my family and they are Christians, they will understand me and help me.” I ended up hurting them and my husband.

    Alright! So ~ you stated we needed to find an older couple who’ve been married longer and we want what they have, invite them to dinner, or whst have we. My husband and I dig you and your husband and we think it’d be great if you joined us for dinner 😀👍🏼 (My husband is Sicilian too!!)

    Thank you for this video, it has helped make me aware of who to turn to for marriage advice. I've gone back and forth a lot on who I should talk to or turn to and this was very helpful. And enjoying our seasons together is something we try for even with kids. Love listening to you two, keep up the good work.

    We talk about this in AA that one cannot get validation from another person (even one’s “sponsor”). I still tend to try with my dad and maybe that’s why I’m still single ;)

    • @toddpeterson360
      @toddpeterson360 Рік тому

      One sad truth I have noticed on Christian Mingle and FB Dating is that the majority of women claiming to be a Christian drink, and I do know that the “bottle” tends to be another form of validation (at least it used to make me feel ten foot tall, bulletproof, and as handsome as Johnny Depp - temporarily)

    A mystery for me is why a lot of non-Christian people have great marriages and lots of Christians I know have bad marriages and many got divorced.

    • @christieclaypool7667
      @christieclaypool7667 2 місяці тому +3

      Are you sure the Non-Christians have a good marriage? You really can’t know unless you live with them and see them every day. People hide things.
      The enemy opposes marriage. I can see that he would oppose a Christian marriage more because it’s more of a threat to him.

    • @airplane800
      @airplane800 2 місяці тому

      @@christieclaypool7667 Psychology and counselors have very efficient ways to evaluate those things. Divorce lawyers are also very good on that. Statistics also show that divorce among people that declare themselves as Christians are around 50%. Even James Dobson declared that 80% of marriage among Christians are done for the wrong reasons. Be a Christian don't make anyone perfect; it makes them forgiven. My pastor did a survey among more than 1,000 married people in my church. Less than 3% pray together. Christians also fake and they feel more inclined to fake because of peer pressure.

    • @Elisha_she_bear

      Are ypu sure they have great marriages?
      Especially social media.
      People show their fantasy perfection.

      @@Elisha_she_bear A lot of Christians can fake too. Based on your assumption I can say that all Christians have a bad marriage.
