Everyone if you want more speed just find out what the stock prop size and pitch is somehow and increase slightly ...if you icrease to much at a time you will over heat electronics... for example if it has a 30mm prop ,maybe a 32mm with same pitch or slightly more or less pitch would increase over all performance... best is trial and error, never run your boat more than 1 min ,then open hatch and check batt, esc, motor temps there are little devices to point at motor and it gives up the temps, but using common sense and just feeling parts is also fine... slightly warm is fine...hot is bad which means you need to prop down... happy boating
Yeah I really didn't expect it to resurface after that long, no idea what happened. And yeah im stoked with 54kph even if it did take a 4s lipo to do it👌
I have 2 feilun ft012 and they run 56kmh on 3s 1800mAh. The wltoys 916 are the better newer model of it. But the hull form is the same. My one‘s are very often in this deep diving mode, where it needs time to get up again. 😂😂😂 It’s the low angle arrow like hull. But the boat is pure fun. I wanne buy the new one too because of the cool light for the evening. It’s cool. I like it on the udi022 too with the light. And this is the best handling boat from stock what i ever had. It runs 63kmh on 4s 2600mAh by me. Light and good speed and handling by a good price is a great thing in RC Boating. Cool video, thanks 😊😎👍🏻🚀
Yes they like to dive don't they😅 They are both great boats for their prices absolutely. Yeah hopefully we see even more upgraded versions of these smaller boats, 63 with your UDI is good but wouldn't 83 be even better🤪 Thanks for watching and you are very welcome!
Oh wow, that was a long time under water. 😮. But apart from that , I’m super impressed with the performance of the boats you get. They are great to see the speed they get in the water and the stability too. 👍🏼🚗
It was very funny but scary, any longer under and I probably would've started packing up to go home😅 I am having lots of fun with boats again and definitely surprised with the performance, it's all thanks to a few that requested I get a boat or two for the channel. Thanks for checking it out man👍
Great video big fella! Great to see this boat on 4s and mind blowing to see it sink then surface again. Do you think these could benefit from some foam in the front of the hull?
Thanks so much mate! I believe someone actually ran theirs on 5s and somehow it survived, no way I would've attempted that😬 And no I didn't think it was ever coming back up😆 I believe it may have got stuck under a rock or in the mud but yes maybe if I had some foam in it it would've been able to dive as deep, I'm no expert on how buoyancy works though so I'm not really sure.
@@rccrazy So it's just a bit nosy then? Likes to punch under the surface? I'm going to try and whack some foam in the hull before I use mine and maybe run it without the nose cone but this vid made me appreciate this boat enough to make a purchase. Maybe even a bit more weight to the rear (new motor and a bit of ballast) Thanks again mate 🍻
Yeah I think it was a little unbalanced front to rear, a little more weight in the rear would help I think. Mate jumping with throttle will not kill the esc or motor, it's not smart to go full throttle for ages without load but no long runs and jumping does not effect the electronics. I understand your thinking, but they are not offshore petrol boats, they run at very hot temps compared to electric RCs
