1 of my favourite 80s band ~ special LOVED JT and Nick Rhode sooooo much, JT is still a cute guy even he is 50! Dance into the 80s fire!! Thanks for bring me back my 80s ^.^
@@sweetiehogg7249 Uh...You realize that I made this comment 14 yrs ago RIGHT???? But thanks for the info...Better late than never I guess...(actually someone else DID respond 3 yrs later)Well that was funny😂😂🤣🤣
marvin hemsworth, people who tease you or anybody don't understand what real Music is! they don't have that real taste of Music that we people have!! They must be crazy for today's shitty, creepy, meaningless music! I also had been listening these kinda Music from my childhood and still enjoy and will be for my whole life! Just Look still there are 817 likes! and only 19 dislikes! So never mind my friend, these fabulous, meaningful Musics are timeless! So just don't care them and let's keep good music always up!!..
What is interesting about this period is that they had lost some of their commercial appeal after taking a break and line up changes, but musically, this album (notorious) and the next (big thing) were some of their best stuff and they were musically much more accomplished. Probably eased off on the drugs!
Sounds like Le Bon is still struggling a little with the higher notes in this song by this point but not as bad as a few years before this at Live Aid. I've heard him in the past 4 years and it seems like he can do this song even better nowadays than back then. That's funny, eh? But really, JOHN TAYLOR RULES THIS SONG! AMAZING!
Absurdamente bonitos esses homens como amo Duran saudades do show 2017 Belo Horizonte BH hall paper gods e hits 80 90 recordatian show welcome New show aguard
@eiowens He left Duran Duran in 1985 due to exhaustion. He came back in 2001. Though he did play drums on a couple of songs on their 1995 covers album Thank You and can be seen in the video for Perfect day.
I enjoyed this version. Of course, Live versus Studio is purley subjective. I heard Joe Perry interviewed recently who said that live versions are more what the artist had in mind after listening back to the studio work. On stage they try things they wish they had thought of in the studio, but were in too much of a hurry to get out. They have had time to rethink arrangements, phrasings and lyrics... But again...subjective...
Depeche mode?*
@TheSunnyGirl83 they haven't - line up changes, reforming and breaking of the original line up etc, but they are still going now, except for Andy Taylor, who is a frustrated rocker!
Steve Ferrone has worked with just about everyone it seems. George Benson, B52s, Roxy Music, Eric Clapton, and currently the touring drummer for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. That's just to name a few.
you are right, gregingram1970 is mistaking steve ferrone with tony thompson. tony dies in the end of the 90ties, he was a BIG BIG drummer with an FAT sound and great drumplaying. I love them both!
Wow...you know, I always thought of them as a big hair-80s rock group but to be honest they seemed pretty tame compared to other bands of the era. Nothing meant against them...I love their music, it's just the image in my head was not the same as what I just saw lol.
+clementine harper The first ever CD player went on sale in October 1982. They were still very expensive in 1988 though, a standalone CD player would have cost about $1000 or £500 in todays money
Imagine being a backup singer for them...id be right one happy singer..
The 80's rocked. I saw Duran Duran perform live about 10 years ago and they were amazing. What a talented bunch of musicians.
John Taylors' bass OWNS this tune. The Octave climbs, AWESOME.
The bass part! WOW!
Simon and crew will never lose it...they are great and will continue to be...
they sound amazing on stage, ahead of their time.
супер!!!great song and great clip!!!amazing Duran Duran!!!my favorite Band ower the World!!!

I can't get enough of this vid. The blond guy on the electric keyboard or whatever it is makes one of the sickest sounds I've ever heard.
Nick Rhodes
That my friend is Nick Rhodes...legend❤

I totally agree - Notorious is my all-time fave DD album, and the rest of their career is criminally underrated
