I worked as a teacher in Turkey and I am was born in England. My parents are from Pakistan. I can tell you now, that private schools are expensive and they do teach English. If you go to a government school, they don't teach much English there and everything is mostly in turkish. So it will be important to learn Turkish. The other thing is, please do not put your family in hardship by moving there and looking for manual labour jobs, only move there If you are a professional or setting up a business otherwise use your money and set up business in Pakistan

But these days, English is a must. Regardless of the country. So sending your kids to government school in Turkey makes no sense. They won't be able to adjust if they want to work outside turkey. This is my opinion. If you move to some other country in few years, your kids will not know anything in English.
So this means families with kids who can afford 500$ Int. School fees per child per month will have no problem to settle in Turkey. All others may leave their kids study back in Pakistan if you do not want to torture your kids by forcing them to study all subjects in Turkish Language. This is a big problem to settle in a Non English speaking country.
I would strongly disagree with the "torture" part, schooling system in Turkey is not like that. First of all, when someone moves here, they will have to wait for sometime to get the ID cards, during that time, they can learn the language with a basic level to make conversation. The next thing, when they enroll kids in school, the school will initially help them learn the language and then start the subjects. Finally, there is no exam in Turkish school up to 8th grade, it's just learning and personality development. So nothing hard and no torture at all.
@@flyingtheworld Sir i dont mean to offend but my kids go to a British school in Dubai and they have one compulsory Arabic subject, even this one subject is so tough for us to help our child just get descent marks every time. I can understand it will be easy for Kids who start Turkish from Basic KINDGARTEN SCHOOL but just imagine a student of Grade 6+ will suddenly have to study all subjects in Turkish Language.

I have a very basic question ... if we shift to Turkey and get our kids in government school ... will it be easy to get them in, as kids won’t be understanding Turkish very well ... so are these school going to give a special Turkish language course?
Government schools are better for young kids, especially at the primary level. It is easier to get them into the school but such schools don't provide special language courses. Young kids at the primary level can easily adjust and pick up the language. There is nothing like failing or passing the exams till 8th standard
