Thanks Marco for doing this tutorial, and thanks to Jack Hicks for the mandrel! Now I can actually use the mandrel Jack sent to me months ago! (LOL)

Glad you were able to share this. I have and will always use my Jack Hicks mandrels for TH knots. I have probably close to a dozen of his for THs and globe knots. They work great! Thanks again marko!

Felicidades, un buen tutorial, también dar las gracias a Jack Hicks por su aportación con un mandril con pasadores.

I really like how easy it is to follow the design. When this know is finished, what would be a good use for this? Is there a way to tighten it down around something or maybe tighten it on itself and then be used a bracelet or something? I would love to see some final uses of this decorative knot.

Thanks for sharing. Good demonstration but tightening that knot with 2 strands of a single color would be a pain. I've been using DIY pinned mandrels for many years. The mandrels make knots and interweaves so easy and more enjoyable. You don't have to tie the knot in a single setting. Lay it by and finish at your leisure. Everything is still in order and you know exactly where you are into the knot. I've tied 8 & 9 bight / 3 color multipass & interweave paracord turks head knots up to 40P/9B on a 1.5" pvc mandrel (Leave a lot of slack in the first & second cord. It will be very tight with the final cord. Many times I wished for a deflating mandrel.) The knot is then transferred & tightened onto a 1" hiking staff for a beautiful and functional grip. Warning : Making 3 tightening passes on 3 cords of such a long knot (3 cords @16' each) will mess with your mind. ;-)

This is so cool my question is can this go on a spherical object?

      Hey!
It can. It will cover it nicely, but it will not completely cover it as would a globe knot. The top and bottom of the knot would be slightly open.
For example here, I used a similar knot to cover a shifting knob:

Brilliant video again! Two things I am trying to find out. The mandrel. I guess you made it? But where did you got the hole layout? Secondly. When completed removing and tightening and securing the ends. How is that done?

All good questions! The mandrel was kindly gifted to me by Jack Hicks.
Finishing the ends is an interesting process. I'll need to make a video covering the specific process I use. Generally, you work the working end into the knot, through the knot and out the top of the knot. After tightening, you can trim the end.
When the knot is ready, I would transfer it onto an object I am covering. Then from the standing end I'd go through the knot, removing slack as I go. At some point you reach the working end and pull the slack into it. Cut the end, tuck it slightly under/into the knot.

I run the workimg ends next to the standing end in the middle of the night, and take out the doubled part od the standing end. It lts me have both cords coming out the center of the knot
