    Do you use 2 layer batting for all micro stitching

      Two layers of batting is not required.

    Can the adjustable handles be installed on other HQ machines like the Fusion?

      Unfortunately, no. However you can purchase the microhandles for the fusion. handiquilter.com/product/fusion-micro-handle/

    Thank you for this post. Question regarding the settings. You mentioned being in manual mode and speed but no mention of stitch length. What would stitch length would you recommend for micro stitching?

      When you are in manual mode, you are the stitch regulator. The machine needle goes up and down and a constant speed. If you move the machine fast, you get a longer stitch. If you move the machine slow, you get a shorter stitch.

    Thanks, you guys! Beautiful quilting and great camera work!
    Q: Will you guys consider doing a video on how to adjust the height of the frame under an Amara? I think mine is set too low (hip height) and I’m 5’6”, w a longer torso. I’m kind of a newbie and just realized I’m stooping over a lot, whether standing or sitting on a stool. And I can’t find any how-to videos showing how to adjust the height. I tried lifting one of those levers and it didn’t even budge!
    My dealer set it up for me, and said it was the right height for me and her. She’s a lot taller than me (& more experienced, obviously) so I believed her. Now I’m in a pickle and she is unable to help do to circumstances.
    What do you say? Thx. 🩷🌷

      I don't think there is a video on adjusting the height. (At least not that I have found so far!). In the meantime, here's some tips. Get a buddy! Move the machine to one end of the frame. At the opposite end, with your buddy, push in the height adjustment levers on the leg of the frame. Lift the frame to the desired height and let the levers pop back into the desired slot. Repeat on the opposite side as well as the middle support legs.

    What size needle is best for micro quilting on a Simply Sixteen, please?

    • @HandiQuilter
      @HandiQuilter  17 днів тому

      It will depend on your thread. Check the thread/needle chart to determine the size. handiquilter.com/product/longarm-needles-20-needles-2-packs-of-10/
      There is a diagram on the link above.

    Is there a micro-quilting foot for a Simply Sixteen?

    • @HandiQuilter
      @HandiQuilter  17 днів тому

      Yes!! The Microfoot can be used on all Handi Quilter machines. If you machine is pre2014, you might need to make sure you have the conversion kit installed so that you can change feet. To check to see if you can change feet, see if there is a screw on the post that the foot is on. (Just like the screw that you loosen to change your needle on the other post).

    Thank you, this is one of the feet I wanted to use.
    Can you resize a design in,prostitcher & do this?

    • @HandiQuilter
      @HandiQuilter  19 днів тому

      Yes! If you are running Pro-Stitcher, I would recommend using the Glide foot though.
