    Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This UA-cam channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
    I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
    I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
    I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
    On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

      I'm definitely buying this for my buddy for his birthday. He's the kind of guy that would rather putt from 20 yards off the green than grab a wedge. He even uses a putter out of the bunker if there's no lip. Hopefully it helps his confidence out.

    What would be interesting, for this type of video, is for Rick to grab a club member or random golfer to represent the 'average' duffer to see if it improves his/her chances of making better chips and pitches.

    • @acidwizard6528
      @acidwizard6528 2 місяці тому

      Agreed. I take his reviews with a grain of salt as Rick is ten times better at golf than I am so his results with the clubs he tests will be vastly different from what an average player might experience. He should have an average level friend or guest for also test the clubs so the viewers get results from both a pro level player and an average player.

    what i did notice was that despite the distance control, the dispersion of your chips was very narrow, and as you mentioned, the accuracy. so once you get used to the weight of it and get a handle of the speed, it looks a lot closer to great than gimmick

      Rick hits the nail on the head at 6:11. Many of us are delighted to get the ball on the green, that is especially true of sand for me, but everyone I play with struggles with chipping/pitching and of course putting. Which all need practice to gauge weight/distance. But fewer chunks, blades and hacks would never be a bad thing. Cam

    I’ve been practicing my pitching and chipping. It’s made a huge difference in my game. It also taught me how to properly aim the face of the club, and how to get better ball strikes. Now my iron play is significantly improved because of it. Went to the range yesterday and all my irons were laser beam straight flight. 95% of my shots were off line by maybe 5 yards at the very most. I was aiming for the yard marker sticks and had quite a few hit them. They give off a satisfying ping sound since they are made of steel.

I started to just go to what felt right and improve on that this year and I have 100% confidence now that I will not leave my chip short and that I will strike it well! Now I just need to perfect distance control, but I have shaved just from that about 2-3 strokes an 18 off my score!! So what I say is just focus on one thing not clubs, but ball contact. I really like it I think you’d need some practice with it to get range of distance but it was as straight as a dial

    Thanks for the video. I will still stay with my wedges, but i bet this club because of the additional weight and bounce would be great for out of the rough around the greens. It would give the ball a little more power through the taller grass. It looks like a nice club to give it a go for people that chunk wedge shots. There is always something unique that comes along. take care.

    I'm sold on the Square Strike...you need to do a review on them.

    It makes sense the height and less rollout though eh? Isn't that one of the selling points of a hybrid vs a long iron for example, it's easier to get the ball into the air because of the head design? It looks to me like this could work well for a downhill put that you have to fly a fair way, lol honestly the ones that didn't roll out the way you wanted, maybe a downhill chip one where you kind of either have to hit the hole or it's rolling past, this could stop it closer? I don't know, could be interesting!

    You should review the bandit maximum distance ball.
