This video really makes me want to run this trail which I haven’t yet this winter! I really enjoy watching your videos as your editing and voiceovers is top notch! I ALWAYS have my chains in the jeep, but then again I’m still running open diffs 🤦🏼‍♂️

@@joedirtadventuresThanks for the feedback!! It was a fun little trail; definitely check it out. Chains are dialed...the expedition that ended up towing Mandi up that hill was on full chains; might be a good idea to get a set. Having the rear locked was the dialed setup for me; I only had issues on one hill; once I locked up the rear it was easy.

That was a great video, thanks for sharing. Yes the Ghost region is pretty tame now in days, most of the good trails have been closed for many years now. Back in the early seventies I grew up in the back seat of my dads CJ5 wheeling every weekend. Margret lake was an all day adventure to get back to in the summer months. That's where I caught my first cut thought trout. Me and a friend of mine made a trip up there late last fall before the snow and the memories just started coming back of my dad and all his wheeling buddy's from all those years ago. What a blast!!

Man, you have the best video quality, editing is professional grade 100%. Sub'ed and liked all Ive watched. You're very lucky to have such beautiful country to wheel. I gotta get my JK out in the Rockies. BTW, love all RCs too. Have probably 20 from buggies, trucks, boats, helos, quads, planes and a few jets. :)

Thanks! I’ve been editing for 20y; since you’re into RCs lookup “come drive with us” on UA-cam. My sponsor sold their company, Covid hit and the series pretty much ended at that point, so I transitioned to Jeep videos. The Rockies are totally awesome! You can’t go wrong.

Thanks Jason! Yeah those hills can get sketchy, but it’s expected with all the traffic in the area. I don’t own chains, likely never will, but I sure wouldn’t go winter wheeling without lockers. The amount of traffic is one of the reasons I’m not the biggest fan of Ghost.

I used chains when I had 33inch tires when I up to 35's I haven't bought them yet for them.

Excellent video! Question... for snow like that, I see you air down quite a bit. Do you ride with both lockers, 4 low, traction control off?

Just rear locked; I find that if the front is locked too much steering is compromised. I have a manual and 1st gear is too high; so I tend to use 4-low more than you would in an automatic. Also, 4.10 just isn’t enough for 35s. I have 4.88 Dynatrac axles coming in the next week or so. Looking forward to seeing how they performs.
