I think the outer frustration of fans comes from knowing that Patrick Mahomes has had the most interceptions called back due to penalty (18). There's some favoritism appearing there for those who question the Chiefs legitimacy. As for me personally, I don't like when I watch two teams I'm not affiliated with and going, one team appears to be getting more breaks then the other. I don't like that. The Chiefs are a good enough team in my mind, coaching especially, to not require that. I don't think Spags gets the credit he deserves and that this offense gets an outsized amount of credit. And yet they do require those calls. And so when fans see that, even ticky-tacky calls going their way, and know this is a title contender? It drives you mad. I don't think fans of the NFL earnestly believe that the Chiefs couldn't have won that game in Chiefs kingdom without those calls. It bothers them immensely that they needed them.
