- Revisiting the Pearl Classic Razor today and I’ll be trying Fine Bay Rum Soap & Aftershave for the first time. Also using the Heritage Collection Brush, which is an homage to the classic brushes of yesteryear.

They are based in India but have a store on Amazon in the USA. This new one has a great price and a very nice weight behind it. The knurling makes the handle very grippy and not too easy to drop. The video shows my first use of this new product.

Good shave Ken, I ordered a 1963 Gillette slim adjustable from eBay yesterday, got it for €30, it looks to be in good condition and the seller told me it works perfectly, I’m inclined to trust him as he has good reviews on eBay, looking forward to trying it, I like the fine bay rum software, very good VFM 👍😊

Get better soon Ken. Bay Rum is great but can be a bit overpowering. I found a unique Bay Rum from Le Pere Lucien. Just fantastic clean bay rum scent.

Great shave Ken. I figured that you would enjoy that version of Bay Rum. Carrie Seibert the owner of Soap Commander had the best one. It was called "Purpose". Her soaps are Vegan if you are interested in them and you get a lot of soap for your money too. I have decided to order the Blackland Vector single razor with the light safey bar top cap and base plate. It's going to cost me $220.

Very nice shave. I like Pearl Razors. Very nice and affordable. And i love Fine products. I have American Blend and Italian Citrus. Both of which i think are great. And the post shave feel is always nice. Have a great wknd

@@kensurfs I am all better now, but the going was rough! One of my friends who is a doctor recommended Pineapple Juice in addition to the Emergen-C I take along with Zinc and Vitamin E. That combo plus the tea and Hot & Sour soup I was eating helped a bunch
Exact same, here. Tested for Covid twice, both negative - but have been nearly flattened for over 2 weeks, now.

Nice shave Ken! Get well soon! I'm dealing with a cold myself, so it is definitely going around. I really wish there was some way to smell some of these products before purchasing. I've wasted plenty of $ because after buying either I or my wife hated the smell.

Great shave and hope you get better soon. I got to try the Gillette 7 O’Clock Permasharp Stainless the other day and it worked. Nothing special about the blade that got me in love with it, but it gave me a good shave. Up next is the Gillette Minora to try out. Have a good one!

I love Bay Rom after shaves i dont have it has shaving soap though, kinda funny those rumors right?? when lathering in a bowl you do the same motions anyways great shave, stay safe, cheers...Peter

Also I have the Ikon tech razor, it’s very aggressive and has a lot of blade feel, even more then an R41 in my opinion, a good razor all the same, it has a stainless steel handle and the head is made from aluminium I think, so it has good heft, not an everyday shaver but if you shave every 2-3 days or even every week it will be perfect, in my opinion anyway, the ikon short comb is an open comb razor and it’s milder then the tech but still very efficient and comfortable, if you like Ikon razors and want to try there open comb I’d recommend that one
The ikon tech is also very sensitive to the blade you use, so I’d advise you use a blade that works for you if it’s your first time using it(Gillette Wilkinson sword) looking forward to seeing your review video on it 👍😊

I've been watching your videos for a few years now and I have a question. Why don't you use Alum and or Witch Hazel?

Fine is certainly a good choice, I stocked up on the original formula of my favorites before the change but the new formula is good as well. I still only have one razor made in India, the Parker Variant, good razor for sure. Heritage brushes are cool, I got a couple several years back, unique vintage but modern made. Dermatologist visit went well, arm is a touch sore but will be way better than the alternative, keep up the PSA's Ken. Nice shave 🪒🪒, too bad no burn but the menthol will help the sinuses... Very nice shave Ken. I am not a fan of Fine because their scents are not strong so I am surprised that you find the Bay Rum to be strong. However, I haven't tried their Bay Rum so maybe I may look into it.
Platinum is so good to me. I never tried the others but platinum is amazing and smells similar to creed avenues which is a super popular luxury cologne. (600$ a bottle)

I so enjoy watching and learning your videos. Question- is there a difference between the Gillette Wilkinson sword and the Wilkinson sword blade. Glad you’re healed up. Have your wife take a Covid test, not that it matters now. Drink hot tea , take care man.
