    I purchased an 85mm 1.8 prime lens, and the image quality is amazing. I was somewhat disappointed with the kit lens, but now everything has changed with the prime lens.
    For a hobbyist like myself, the A6000 is simply perfect. It's even suitable for prints. The camera is merely a tool to showcase how I perceive the world; whether it's the most expensive one or not doesn't matter.

    Practise makes perfect. Memory cards are relatively cheap, take as many shots as possible, review them and pinpoint the ones you like and think about why you like them, develop your own style.

    I’m glad I trusted you and went with the a6000, I’ve been impressed with the shots I’ve gotten out of the camera for $300

    I love my a6000. I started with the Full Frame 28-70mm Kit lens, a good zoom lens on a budget. Currently my go to lens is the Sigma 30mm f1.4 love it. Practice makes perfect, just get out and shoot.

      How does the full frame lense going? Is it sharp? Is it good?

    Had the Sigma 30mm for 5 years and can confirm, it's legendary. For zoom lenses, I'd suggest the Sigma 18-50 F2.8. Decently priced (though definitely more expensive than a prime). Great image quality and still fairly compact.

    Tom, you are one of the few giving praise and value to the dependable A6000 little marvel. Bought it in early 2020 , probably one of best cameras I had since the 70s, great videos and content you give us , keep them coming, thank you!

      Solid advise right there. Just being mindful about what you capture and HOW you do it, will already significantly improve your work over time.

    i recently bought a SONY E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 Lens.. i believe this is still a Kit lens for the A 6000, but regardless its still a massive upgrade from the 16-50mm stock lens

    There are so many more tricks for the a6000 than „buy prime lens“ and „shoot in manual“, but I guess those don‘t fit into a 4min Video… Zebras, exposure compensation, eye AF, Focus field selection, custom keys - just to drop some proposals to begin with

    • @TomsJurjaks
      @TomsJurjaks  Рік тому +1

      I totally agree with you. Although I would say these are the “next steps”. Most beginners never get over shooting full auto and a kit lens, so thought of giving the absolute basic suggestions. Your recommendations would be great for Episode 2 👌😀

    Sigma 18-50 2.8f is equally good as tamron, just lacking stabilisation, but is stunting tiny for zoom lens this quality

    Is it a real improvement in your photography in switching from a6000 to an a6600 or is it more worthy to switch to a full frame instead? I’d like to stick to apsc and I’m not sure of the advantages yet 🙈

    • @TomsJurjaks
      @TomsJurjaks  10 місяців тому +1

      I have a6000, a6400 and A7IV and although newer full frame camera could help you in certain (very challenging) situations and environments, I honestly dont think it will really improve your quality of photos. What will make the biggest difference is your skills, the lenses and perhaps only then the camera, but not because of megapixels or size of sensor, but rather because its sometimes quicker to take the shot etc. If you have the budget, get a6700, but I highly suggest you to stick to apsc and rather invest in your knowledge and lenses.

      @@TomsJurjaks many thanks for your response! So guess I’ll stick to my a6000, as there are no significant improvements :)

    What a good photo to you or everyone else is so subjective just because you don’t think it’s a good photo doesn’t mean it isn’t …this coming from the guy who uses a field monitor for photography is so comical 😂😂😂
