This is the best version I have ever heard. Jamie sings this as it should always be sung, love his expressions as well. He seems a little sad whilst singing this song as it is a sad song. Just brilliant Jamie. Thank you for gracing us with your voice. Make sure you don;t stop singing. You can't stop at this. Honestly you can't.
Indeed. I’d like to hear a Wiff do an incredibly poignant version of “It’s Not Easy Being Green.” The best rendition bar none was Ray Charles’. If someone could approach or surpass that it would be spectacular.
Handsome, Smart, and talented men singing?! Now that’s my kind of rainbow connection! I’m actually in love with this I can’t stop watching this! We are so lucky to watch you every year! 💛💛
Had the pleasure of seeing Jamie as Christian in the OG UK cast of Moulin Rouge, his West End debut. He was phenomenal and at stage door just the nicest person. I think he has an amazing career ahead.
Watch the rendition this group makes every year. Easily my favorite. The way Jamie sings it melts my heart. The background is also just so smooth. Amazing, please keep it up
Well you can thank the legendary Paul Williams and also Ken Asher. They wrote these great songs. Paul has a cameo in the movie as the piano player inside the bar. 🙂
Jamie, you have quite a great gift. I hope you pursue recording. I have been in quite a few choirs myself over the years and you are exceptional. And of course the Whiffenpoofs are awesome as usual. Good job guys.
WHIFFENPOOFS concert in Danbury Ct. on 12-11-22....making my arrangements to attend....all the way from central PA...(Mifflin County)....hope to be there
Yes, but as a long-time baritone I rue the fact that there are really no solo/spotlight parts for us anymore. Somewhere in the last 50 years the tenor range has taken over that role. Don’t get me wrong. They have beautiful voices. Sexy voices (and extra sexy if they’re cute too.) I wish I could be a cute tenor (preferably blond), but at least better than half of males are not tenors and it would be nice if our voices could be highlighted again too.
Other than the original, this has to be my favourite version, thank you. Sometimes, I wonder what's good for me to do the art that I do. When I see your music, I know...
Soulful. This is the version that a wiser, more mature Kermit the Frog would have sung after all of his adventures -- "the dreamy wistfulness of a short, green Judy Garland" tempered by experience, but undeterred. Love it!
I’m still listening to this in 2023, this is the BEST rendition I’ve heard. Excellently brilliant. You guys should never stop. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Same
@@1ekimike1 I can’t stop listening to this.
Yes! It's April, 2024 ... and, I'm still drawn to it.
Same 0:37
The crispness and clarity of this voice is giving me chills. Every nuance in his voice resonates. Its what song is suppose to feel like
OMG..........Incredible version!.........this guy is incredible, nobody is supposed to be that good!

I have to agree. Among the Whiffenpoof renditions this is the best. Sam did a good job on it while in the '10 Poofs, but not quite as good as Jamie.
Favorite version.
Currentky starring in Moulin Rouge in London!
@@inkyguy omg that would be soooooooooo good.
Looking for Rainbow Connection covers. Ambushed by Mr. Incredible.

Omg you’re so lucky, I would love to see him in something like that. He better come to Australia. lol😂… I really want to see him.
This is brilliant. Give this man an album contract!
My baby literally stopped crying listening to this 😂❤
best tone, phrasing, inflection ever. No one has met this rendition from the Whiffenpoofs since 2015!
What's up with Mr. Incredible?
Cody Franck lol dude, EXACTLY!!!
Every year one member is chosen to wear a silly costume at every on-campus concert. Just another tradition.
@@DrewLevitt represent !
@@DrewLevitt , thank you for an enlightening reply.
This is amazing .
This is so beautifully sung! This man tells a story when he sings! Love!
Undoubtedly the BEST version I've ever heard. Can't wait to see him on Broadway or winning his first Tony.
No, no he is not, but hes still a very talented singer who deserves a long and succesful career.
Mary Parks I agree,
Owen Wells bland I also agree that he's very talented, and he does deserve a long and happy singing career,
definitely not.
Does anyone know what his major was or his chosen career path?
Absolutely beautiful bought me to tears ALL of these people can really sing thank you

Can't believe such a beautiful song came out of a movie about a frog.
It was a move about the Muppets.
It was a movie about faith and hope and dreams and renewal and belief. Kermit is all that.
What is wrong with being a frog? Yes. It was about a frog. 🐸🌈
Jim Henson was able to touch that spark of creativity only a few can in every generation....

This is so sweet and relaxing. I wish they had something like this for the children's ward at our hospital.
This is the best version - there’s a twang with the way he sang- and the transitions are amazing --. Excellent
Nothing like guys doing acapella....just wonderful.
rrz518 I like Pentatonix a little better.
Best vocal interpretation and cover of this song ever ... Love ...
A beautiful song especially today thirty years later wow so powerful touches my soul
So soothing and melodic. Just perfect.
so good , hardly noticed it was a cappella till half way through the song. Great. Kudos to all involved.

Soft. Precise. Beautiful.
This still sounds good in 2020 during the pandemic!!
today at school, the whiffenpoofs performed for us, they were AMAZING
These guys just came to my school and they are so amazing. This was a fantastic performance!
wonderful version of a fun and meaningful song
WHIFFENPOOFS concert in Danbury Ct. on 12-11-22....making my arrangements to attend....all the way from central PA...(Mifflin County)....hope to be there
Wow! Just WOW!
The guy who is singing through the mic, he's amazing!!!
Update: Jamie is really amazing

@@inkyguy the person who originally sang this was a baritone? wasn't it the puppeteerr of Kermit the Frog who was a tenor?
Did he ever try out for American Idol or The Voice?
So lovely, they did a great job. Thanks NiNi!

What a unique voice. You can't just put it in a box

Awww, so beautiful
My god, the guy looks like Barbra Streisand in Yentl
What is a whippenpoot? I don't know how they came up with that name. Well they're no Osmond family
Way better.
Thank goodness.
Man, almost perfect until he and his buddy laughed close to the end (at "the dreammerrrsssss and me").
Dj run that shit back
Frasier and Niles. That's all...
There is nothing unusual about this video
Why…the incredible.
Unpopular opinion
I prefer the version where Brendon Levin got the solo (the glee cover)
lol
Nice. But it's all so easy when you're miked....
why is he putting is hand on his pocket. it's cringingly awkward
first
Here comes treble is way better
The Whiffs should move to Harvard.
Bad
I expected better. Not very impressive.
Worst version I've ever heard.
