My late friend Rabbi Lord Sacks loved music. As I listen to this Brahms Trio I dedicate my ears to this great Theologian and Thinker. He listens from far away! MD,PhD NYC ✡️📚✡️
his one of the four chamber scoers that the old Brahms dedicated to the clarinet, together with he two sobatas for clarinet end piano and the quintet for clarinet end strings. Here, the alliance of clarinet, asically in the medium, an cello, basically i the lower range, give to this score a kind of automnal color, very typical of rahms' insipation. Here, the musicians interpret it in in a very energetic way, somehow tempering this feature and giving a very interesting rendering of that score. Thanks to Israel philharmonic musical publications.
Excelente trabajo musical, cuantas clases, inteligente, saber y gustos de esos dignos representantes de la filarmónica israelí. Gracias por esta hermosa joya.
TO ISREAL PHILHARMONIC - Thank you very much for the "like"! I do not want to speak in political terms here, but Israel (x which I visit many time for business issues) completely shares our Western culture. Your artists are ai ur artiste (and conversely). We are proud of you. This is very important NOW since the religious/political extremists in Israel's hostile surrounding countries do consider music as an evil's creation. Here in France and other Europen countries (esp. UK), imams preach it ,very strongly, and we should be criminal to minimize this cultural threaten. LONG LIFE TO ISRAEL'S ARTISTS !!!!
@@ilkinond Dear friend, I perfectly know that. I am just ending a more that 300 pages book abor "three centuries of clarinet in classical music", so I perfectly know ow that. This is the first actual masterpiece for this instrument combination, since Beethoven's trio op. 11 is a musc lighter early work. It is fascinating to analyse how the différence in instrument setting brings major differences in writing in this trio and the clarinet and string qunitet op.115, a work to which I dévoted another book, evidencing a "cellular cycling" technique.. Eve the harmonic handing of the minor more is quite different in these two masterworks.
I am familiar with some performances of this trio. Seems like these 3 musicians interpreted the best the spirit of the piece both individually and in harmony with each- other.

Lahav Shani is one of the very few pianists that properly elevates the melody in the first set of chords in the beginning. It is essential..

"I do not want to speak in political terms here..." Sure about that? Why not shut up and listen to the music? It has so much more to say than you do.
