I have a bin in which I keep clothes for events, clothes for auditions and costumes. That way I contain them in case I need them but also keep them out of the way

In this book titled “Decluttering At The Speed of Life” the author gives a great tip about seeing your home and the spaces within it as a container. When we view a space as a container, it sets a limit for us on what we can keep since the size of the container won’t ever change. This helped me figure out what I actually wanted to keep or enjoyed wearing when it came to clothes. 🙂

One thing that helps me keep my closet under control is to carefully plan my shopping trips.
Write a list of the items you will need to complete a refined, tasteful and appropriate wardrobe for yourself. Shop for these items only, ignoring items that are not on your list.
Don’t go to sales. Who is ever really happy with a low-priced sale item that they settled for? Spend a bit more money and buy what you really want and love.
Shop at quality stores and only buy quality items that fit well. If they don’t fit well, have them altered so that they do. Alterations are part of shopping.
Buy only items that go with several of your other items. This is SO important!
Buy sexy outfits that are tasteful and elegant - yes it can be done.
When you plan your wardrobe and control your shopping impulses, you will have a beautiful, smaller, selection of clothes that go well with each other and make you look like a million bucks. You will not be throwing away your hard-earned money every time you are forced to yet again re-evaluate and purge your closet full of mistakes.

Omg 76 items and still such a full closet!! Im the same. You should try to make seasonal storage so store your sweaters away in the summer etc (maybe under your bed) or swap out the clothes in use to be lower and the clothes out of use (for that season) to be in the area where you can barely reach bc it there are clothes up there how often are u actually reaching up for them,yk?

I don't really have storage for that! underneath my bed already is full with other things I have to store! But that's still a good idea! I do put the items that are not for that season in harder to reach places, and make the current season's stuff easily accessible for me!! thanks so much for watching :)

Just Facebook marketplace! I've thought about Depop/Poshmark but meeting someone in a nearby public area always seemed less of a hassle for me than paying for shipping/making the labels! maybe in the future!
