Thanks for supporting MartyMusic! Let me know if you'd like to see more of these!
Yes Marty, more for sure! Playin' guitar for a living, what could be sweeter? Thanks for these tours, really enjoy them. Hope your "Loser" jam was fun.
Marty Music I think Marty has the hots for me he's always sending me hearts😂
Ray Ross thanks Marty. can you do a demo on a vintage jaguar and compare them to the newer ones .not the new models they changed the switching on them.
Hey Marty!! Thanks for having me on! Small correction! After doing this with you..I realized that both of Jimmy Olander's benders are a whole step!
Jeff King hey jeff I have always been a fan of your playing on recordings it's good to hear it before all the engineers have gotten a hold of it.i know they can do some good and bad at times things to them.
That 64 Strat is a monster. Love it. Thanks for doing another great documentary.
I dig that Strat, too. I wonder if the button he was talking about was S1.
Marty, you are a natural at interviewing. You have such a warm, genuine personality and it comes across in all your videos and interactions with other players. Well done!
totally agree
that smile that you had on your face wheen he played the strat was so genuine. it would be impossible to fake that one.
The emotions you pulled out of this interview were magic. To hear the stories and the how and why not just the what, pretty special thing you have going on here Marty. Will keep watching.
Thanks so much Rick
the only guitar channel I watch, Marty has taught me so much over the years. I feel like his videos were made for me with a personal touch yet I've never met him. thank you Marty for all the great lessons and please keep this drool worthy series goin
I like this series. Keep it coming dude!
Marty, I've known Jeff King since around 1978, he was very shy kid that picked up a guitar and fell in love with it. Got his degree from East Tn State and then the next time I saw him he was on a Patty Loveless video. The first word you described him in this piece is humble, he is definitely that! He will answer any message I send him (and he is a busy guy) Super show with you two guys! Thanks so much!
Jeff King is cool, great guitars, great show, really enjoyed it, thanks man.
Guitar Players in Guitar Places Talking Guitars !!! A great visit Marty, the conversation was terrific and Jeff's playing was absolutely killer. Thanks very much Marty and Jeff.
Marty you are my first guitar teacher ever (since 2008) , you are really sympathique and very generous of all your guitar and music knowledge....AND A VERY GOOD TEACHER ....!!!!
I want to thank you for all what i learned....and i will continue with you !!!
Norm , french Canadian , from Drummondville, Québec....!!!
I sold Jeff a Yamaki D28 copy in Victoria BC. He gave me tickets to Reba & gave me a tour of all his gear backstage. Real class dude!
Thanks to both Marty and Jeff King for a great time. Loved all the guitars, stories and music.
Just had dinner with Jeff last night in the burgh before the show and he’s a really chill dude and one of the best guitarist 🎸
Another great one Marty! These tours are fantastic and Jeff King was a great host. Thanks for doing these.
I know this is an old video, but Jeff seems like he's a really great guy and an awesome guitar player as well. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this little visit (even though I'm five years late😆).
This is the first 'Guitar Tours' I've seen and I really enjoyed it, please keep them coming. Marty, your online lessons are awesome so thanks for them too.
Marty you are a legend and your videos brighten my day. Keep up the great work! :)
Very cool Marty. Best part was seeing my AMP head behind you, old Silvertone twin 12 that I got in 1963 and still have. Rock-on my brother. Bravo Zulu.
Great tour! I know you are a guitarist but would love to see interviews with musicians who play guitars and harmonica. You interview well bringing out every nugget for our enjoyment. Thanks!
There are many guitar lesson/ tutorial videos here on UA-cam, and you definitely stand out. I enjoy and appreciate what you do
well done sir
Keep up the guitar tours. It's great for people like me who dont get to be around amazing guitars. I learn a lot thank you Marty.
My band has hired Jeff twice now to play on our last two records, and there is really no way I can compliment him enough. We had songs that were good and he made them really great because of his creativity and the producer we used along side him. Jeff is an absolute virtuoso in my opinion and is super generous with his gear, and spending basically about 2-3 weeks with him, just a killer dude to hang out with too. Seriously I can’t say enough about how cool I think this guy is.
What a genuinely nice guy 👍 Marty
That Dobro is either a Model 35. You can tell because it has a steel body and neck binding.
Would have been a brown to dirty cream sunburst. They’re known as a ‘fiddle edge’ where the bodies are made by crimping the sides together much like a metal bucket.
Beautiful guitar. We did a video about the history of a particular gold one.
🎯🎵🎯
Thanks for the demonstration of these nice guitars. I would also love a series about amp collections. There certainly are guys with awsome amp collections as well.
Great series Marty. This was an absolute treat. Never heard of this guy but now I know I have definitely heard this guy. Well done!
This series is great, keep up the good work man
Marty,
This is my first comment on your site, but I'm an avid follower. This is, hands down, your best video thus far. Mr. King seems like a very nice and humble man, despite his virtuosity at guitar. Please keep the tutorials coming. Garage noodlers like me depend on them. 🤘.
This is great Marty keep it up!! Would love to see a lesson on the song bold as love if you could do that
awsome. I've been hoping you would do another one of these! Keep em coming!
Rock on!
Marty i have to say that the Marty's Guitar Tours is by far the coolest thing I have ever watched. For me personally not only I have I learned so much from you but this deal is a trip into places that I could never get to. THANK YOU !!!
Oh yeah the Jolana Rubín was made in Krnov close to Ostrava. The company still make guitars! And because I live in Ostrava and my friend lend me his Jolana Superstar bass guitar and I can't get the full experience I just love that bass.
Thanks, Marty for sharing these amazing ,special moments - I truly enjoyed this - from one of your Guitar Coaching Club & Lifetime Subscription members - Keep em comin - Mark
Another great episode of Marty's Guitar Tours :) Amazingly cool guitar collection and what about all of those amps Jeff King has as well? Superb!
Outstanding series of interviews, giving insight into songwriting and professionalism, as well as gear, personality, and styles. Thank you!
Marty's guitar tours should be a tv show
Nice job on these interviews, Marty - really enjoy watching these.
Just now watching this. Very cool!
Keep em coming, Marty! Loved, Loved, LOVED this man! Thank you for a real treat.
Jeff King was getting a great tone out of his Vox Pacemaker @ 7:00, one my most favorite amps as well ...'66 Vox Pacemaker > '65 Fender Reverb unit> 1-12" Eminence cabinet ...
Enjoying this series! Great work, Marty!
Awesome Marty I love your work!. Jeff played on my latest album and did an amazing job.

Super series!! I look forward to more. Thanks so much
Really enjoyed this video ! Just a classic fun and talk about guitars.. Jeff is great guy!!
This was brilliant! Looking forward to the next episode! They remade those Silvertones at a cheap price of £300 to £400 odd. Never played one or found many reviews of the remakes, though I read reviews of them not staying in tune..
Thanks for all the content you put. You're really great.
Cheers from France Marty.
Thanks Marty I so enjoy your interviews and your lessons. 🎸🎶

Marty, would love to see one of these with dan auerbach, he has such a great story and this is coming from an Akronite that went to Firestone High School with him.
Idea for Marty guitar tours... or tech stuff. How about a short documentary on famous luthier's? Leo Fender, PRS among others?

DGT stands for David Grissom Trem(olo). 77 LP blew my mind
I stand corrected!! Thanks Daniel.
Well there went 45 minutes without even realizing it. Great video!
