Just bought a Speeco E hitch. Looking for advice; fits my new Deere disc perfect. My 6 year old behlen box blade and old 25a Deere flail don’t fit. The 3 PT frame is too wide and lift pins can’t seat into speeco and frame rests on speeco. Any workarounds? Am I SOL? Likely will get a new box blade and sell old one. But my 25a works great and would rather not buy another. What flail works/seats into the speeco? I’m now too concerned about just ordering an implement and it not being able to fit.
Just received my Speeco Quick Hitch. Painted it JD green to match my new 4044R - looks awesome! I've owned tractors for 25 years and can't tell you how many times I have had to leave the operator's seat and readjust the linkage. And along with that, many bumps, bruises and scrapes. This now takes less than a minute - tip: I can't see the lower links from my cab, so I just make sure I line up the center links on both the hitch and rake and back-up until the lower links have connected to the rake.....pick up the hitch, throw the two handles and it is ready to work! Great work Courtney - thanks!
@@mxer822 Don't have any JD attachments, but works great on my Landpride landscape rake and tow behind aerator. Also bought a quick mount trailer hitch...all this has saved me time and injuries.

Have bent and broken scarifiers on rocks and stumps and the HF quick hitch just keeps pulling. None of the tractor guys ever talk about it. Surprising given how low the price is. I decided to get those because I don't need the bushings. Thanks Courtney for the direction and the great educational videos! They are why I bought both forks and the quick hitch from you. You make me feel confident in what I am buying.
My thoughts on the lower bushings are just for additional adaptation to implement hitches that are not exact cat 1 width dimensions or pin size. Whether it be internal or external lower pin mounts. And with the shoulder no need to worry about snagging the lynchpin when hooking up. Also it’s easier to bush up than change pins to get to correct size.
@@russwilkins1622 correct. And with the bushing hitches they will not fit. But using the hitches with slots made for cat 1 pins folks will surely install the lynch pins
@@littlejackalo5326 correct. I was comparing adapter bushing w/roll pins to folks who just install large pins (I.e. CAT 3) and leave lynch pins installed. When they hook up they beat up the lynch pins. usually only once this happens 🤬😆
I use my quick hitch on all my equipment without them bushings. Works just fine of them 7/8 pins that are on the equipment. Saves money and easier if a neighbor needs to borrow a piece of equipment and doesn't have a quick hitch.
Thank you for your review! I would add a very important point. One of the most important thing when choosing a quick hitch is to consider wich one has the shorter distance between the lower hook and 3 point tractor side pin hole. The shorter is the distance, the better it is to keep your accesories neer your tractor. You don't want any unecessary inches between the tractor and your accessories. I think that having larger hook diameter give you the chance to install bigger tool and also beign able to install the Cat. 1 tools ? Very good review, lot of information ! Thanks !
Great video ! I learned a lot , measurements also very helpful . Plan on getting a quick hitch and just started to research, but I was think why couldn't one just add a sleeve / bushing / piece of black pipe to the existing pin and tack weld to hold into place . Speeco does look like the way to go though .
@Good Works Tractors The bushings are there for some older hay equipment that use the 3-point hitch as a two point hitch system. In my opinion, it would be cheaper and more efficient to change the pins on that equipment than to buy bushings for everything else. It's also unlikely that sub-compact tractors will be using said equipment. On top of that, I'm not sure any of that stuff would actually be usable with a quick hitch in the first place. I would assume that most of the quick hitches are made the way they are, because they copied John Deere. John Deere most likely did that because they wanted that backwards compatibility.
This is a great video, but you also need the inside/outside wall dimensions of the quick hitch frame because when you have an attachment like a box blade, that wall needs to fit inside of that pin area just like the hooks. I purchased a quick hitch based on the inside/outside hook widths and then got it home only to realize the hooks fit fine but the outside wall dimensions were too wide for my "quick hitch compatible" box blade.

I have a 2860m and I’m told it will not fit on that as well. 2860m has cat 1 and cat 2 balls. Speeco sells another cat 1 that uses bushings which is probably for fitting bigger compacts. So, when are people using the adjustable height top hook? I never adjusted it, but had several implements where the pin was back far enough the adjustment bolts would interfere with the implement and went out and found old i-matchs with no movable hook and it worked no problem. So when are you all needing to adjust that top hook?
I have adjusted it on a electric spreader that I used in a video earlier this year for example. You might not need to do it often, but it's handy to have the option. ua-cam.com/video/r4V0cq-UL4U/v-deo.html

What is the difference between the Speeco "E-Hitch" and Speeco's Category 1 "Quick Hitch"? They show both on their website. It looks like they both attach to a Category 1 tractors and hook up Category 1 implements. Other than color I don't see any other real differences.
It's definitely worth it. The $120 quick hitch from Harbor Freight does the job good. I have 1000 lbs of counterweight on it. Don't use the $30 bushings, use the $3 sleeves. Remove the bolts from the top hook and put in quick easy to move pins instead. Now when I buy implements I just make sure that they will match up to it. Get an adapter plate with spaced-out pinholes for the top for some of the implements .
Why would anyone buy it? You can nearly buy two of the Speeco's for the price of one Land Pride. Kubota orange is becoming the new John Deere green. They think they can charge anything they want and get away with it.
Do any of these hitches stand out above the others with respect to quality of materials & manufacturing? It is tough to tell from the video but it looks like the Worksaver *might* be a bit better made....?? Just curious as I can't see them in the flesh. Enjoy your channel very much!!
Howdy, the Worksaver and Speeco weigh the most. They are within a few ounces of each other. Most have strong support in the gussets too. Speeco doesn't need bushings. So, Speeco wins in my opinion.
It's simple really... they only make one model and call it CAT I/II/III based on the hitch pins they install in it. There are always tradeoffs. The Speeco is much better built, but the CAT I ears means you'll never be able to pick up anyone else's attachment. (and after a few years, those roll pins don't come out!)
Anyone ever used the Speeco with a JD2520? Does anyone know if the Speeco will work with a JD2520? Also i’m not understanding why when you use the Speeco they say you dont need bushings but dont explain further why not? Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you

Why does the Speeco E have a load rating of 1500 lb and others that seem to have the same construction have ratings of 2000 to 3000 lbs?
So, when are people using the adjustable height top hook? I never adjusted it, but had several implements where the pin was back far enough the adjustment bolts would interfere with the implement and went out and found old i-matchs with no movable hook and it worked no problem. So when are you all needing to adjust that top hook?
I have adjusted it on a electric spreader that I used in a video earlier this year for example. You might not need to do it often, but it's handy to have the option. ua-cam.com/video/r4V0cq-UL4U/v-deo.html
I just saw a new SpeeCo that needed to couplings. Are you still going to be able to get the SpeeCo without need for couplings? Thanks.
What model is the speedo? All my implements are cat 1 with the 7/8th pins
In what country is each of these QH adapters made?
I have the Titan one it's got the pins with spring loaded clips the clips flew off within the first one minute of using it I replaced the pins with half inch bolts
That your truck with the goose neck? What it hooked up to . Name or brand? Taking your advice on the trailer vid . My truck had 1 owner kept it .
Howdy, lots of info about it here. ua-cam.com/video/ERUaoGfJEp0/v-deo.html
Bought the SpeeCo very easy transaction very quick ship Good Works Tractors is the place to go! Keep up the great work!
Thank you sir!
How much for the speedco ship to Wisconsin
Bought a FarmTrac 555, which quick attach would you recommend?
Weren’t the original imatch cast? It’s been too long for me to remember.
Speeco come in green?
How does this compare to pats?
Different type of system really.
Im happy without. Especially since my equipment doesnt stand on its own. Also im using cat 2 and 1.5. I say 1.5 since ive switched the 7/8 lift pins to 1 1/8 lift pins so i dont need bottom bushings and my boom pole gramps built so i dont believe it conforms to cat 1 spacing
I'm sorry. I may have missed it because my Wife was telling me something while I was watching your video with my earbuds in. But did you say how much the Red/Orange Speed Hitch cost? And will it fit my new 2020 MX 5400 HST, 4 WD KUBOTA? I've got to purchase one. Thank you?
do you have one for a BX 1880
I'm thinking get a cheep one and weld some plate on each side to fit it to size without bushings then do some fill weld and just permanently fix it lol
Does this work on a Kubota B series?
What is the difference between the Speeco "E-Hitch" and Speeco's Category 1 "Quick Hitch"? They show both on their website. It looks like they both attach to a Category 1 tractors and hook up Category 1 implements. Other than color I don't see any other real differences.
The e hitch doesn't require the bushings so you save a bunch of money by not having to buy bushings for every attachment.
I still don’t understand why bushings are necessary? I read cat1 are 7/8” why would a cat1 hitch have cat3 pin receiver?
No one has ever heard a legitimate answer to your question.
Thank for the info.
i just bought a Kioti DK5510 that is a category 2 lift, will the Speeco work on that?
Do you have any used I-match ones in stock right now?
We don't, sorry
Keep that back straight!
Thanks!
Hello GWT, What's the difference between the Speeco E-Hitch and their Quick-Hitch? They look very similar other than Red vs. Black. Thanks.
Bushings vs no bushings
How much to ship speeco to south Carolina
So i know you dont want to put the price out there but can you give me a close price so i know what im looking at and what are your shipping costs?
You need only one quick hitch - A-frame eastern style quick hitch. No bushings, no precise moving, in no time attach and release.
LandPride QH16 doesn't need bushings. A new product, replacing the QH15. Might be time for an updated QuickHitch comparison video.
Why would anyone buy it? You can nearly buy two of the Speeco's for the price of one Land Pride. Kubota orange is becoming the new John Deere green. They think they can charge anything they want and get away with it.
Can you use these on older implements
Only if quick hitch compatible or spacing matches up.
Hi I wanted to know if you can send me a QH-101 for Italy, and how much it comes with shipping costs. Thank you
Hi, unfortunately I don't have a cheap way to ship internationally at this time. Sorry!
(and after a few years, those roll pins don't come out!)
i see john deere skimped on the welds ,typical and im sure its the most expensive.looks loke they were runnimg short og welding rod.,
I agree, when it comes to JD, one will always spend more for less.
I'm surprised they don't make theirs out of aluminum like their gear cases.
What about cat 2 quick hitch
Anyone ever used the Speeco with a JD2520?
Does anyone know if the Speeco will work with a JD2520?
Also i’m not understanding why when you use the Speeco they say you dont need bushings but dont explain further why not? Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you
