I've recently discovered your channel and really like it. Your voice is quiet and you speak directly. I've enjoyed your paintings about glass very much. If you are afraid the video is long or tedious, well, that is painting sometimes. It's not an instant gratification thing.

Thank you, that's so nice to hear and I will remember that when videos seem to be running long. :>)

I’m relatively new to watercolour and when I open a new Daniel Smith tube there is a lot of clear yellow substance which I assume a glue.

Hi, the yellow substance is a binder called Gum Arabic. In some tubes of paint it can separate from the watercolor a little. If I see the Gum Arabic when I open the tube of paint. I close the tube and massage the tube a little to get the paint and Gum Arabic to mix a little before opening and squeezing out the paint. If you still see some when placing paint on your palette, you can mix it in the paint well with you brush.

Do you print your own photographs? And if so, what equipment (printer) and paper do you use? Are you focusing on the image and layout or the color?

I use an Epson workforce 4734 and will print a lot of my images or I have images printed at Snapfish. When I print I use the Epson Matte paper or semi gloss paper for inkjet printers. I am focusing on the image and layout. There is a lot of variability with the color. In general, though, I am usually happy with the printed colors.
