  • COP 28 - the annual summit organised by the UN to assess progress made in combating climate change is underway in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
And once again there have been warnings that drastic action is needed to stop irreversible damage to the planet and once again, disagreements on how to take it. Our diplomatic correspondent Andrew Hopkins reports from Dubai.

The issue is far deeper than you think. Each year, the UN brings a group of billionaires and empty-headed politicians together to talk about climate crisis and renewable energy. No desirable result has been achieved from these talks so far and no desirable result will be achieved in the future, because shifting 100% to renewable energy sources would require mineral extraction on a massive scale to supply the materials for batteries, wiring and other components of solar panels and wind turbines. Practically, 100% renewable energy means more cobalt, more lithium and more nickel, more Iron than is known to exist on earth.
Nevertheless, an easy solution for climate crisis has to do with reducing human consumption. To give you an example, an average American or European woman owns 250 piece of clothing and 22 pair of shoes or one truckload of clothes, shoes and computers, mobiles and accessories in lifetime consumption for one person. Perhaps these millionaires and billionaires who talk about climate crisis in Dubai consume far more than average people.

EVERYONE please make a playlist about Palestine like I have and ask others to have such a playlist.
Or copy directly the list I have and ask others to copy it from you, and they ask others copy from them. We need to spread the truth, millions, billions of us.
Once you copy the playlist, leave messages under most populous comments in videos, drawing attention to your channel, not specifically mentioning the name of the holy lands, because they can block it if it's recognized and change your message everytime so the AI does not block it.

COP's are a total waste of tax payers' money to fund their representatives to attend. All the flights in and out emit so much co2 in the air. Whoever came up with COP idea is a good businessman though. The organizers make money.

I am proud of my country that's been exploring all options to help gaza. Sending medicine, building the biggest hospital in palestine, sending hospital ship, helping refugee camps, sending food and neccesity items, having no relationship with israel (we never recognize israel as a country since our independency), trying to lobby muslim countries to pressure Biden and the west (although we are being dismissed and ignored), resulting in our president flying alone to DC to meet Biden.
