Sia is an Australian singer and songwriter who loves singing but doesn't like the spotlight, so she asks others to be her 'performer.' I think it works really well. You would be surprised how many well known songs by other famous artists were written by Sia too =D

    • @Oatmilllk
      @Oatmilllk Рік тому +11

Also the performer in this case is Winnie Harlow a model, and she does have Vilitago in real life :)

Not Sia in this video, it's the model Winnie Harlow. And yeah, she has the auto-immune disease vitiligo. The immune system attacks and destroys the pigments in the skin in patches that can stagnate or progressively expand. I have it too, but I'm already really pale, and mine has never progressed that much, so I only have some smaller spots. Sia never really aspired to be an artist herself, she wanted to be a writer for other artists. So she want to be in the background and let the music be the focus. She often has other people representing her.

EMINEM has actually stated in interviews that he does occasionally watch reactions to his stuff just to see what people pick up on and what they don’t. He might very well one day see this reaction, but I doubt he actually has a UA-cam account to even comment on things, he probably just browses.

Btw, the reference you didn't catch was about how people said he sounded way to soft on "Infinite" (his "underground" album, before he met Dr Dre and had his breakthrough). They compared him to layed back rap artists like AZ and Nas. And nobody believed in him as a rap artist. "Out came the claws. And the fangs been out since then" = how he created the Slim Shady character and became this controversial, vengeful and unstoppable force, as a reaction

“Guts Over Fear” ~ On this track Eminem contemplates his legacy and career. He dwells on the feeling that he has no emotion left and that he is singing the same old song. He regrets the pain he has caused others with his pen and he expresses the feeling that his career is coming to a close when in reality it’ll never end. It should be noted that he uses the same rhyme scheme throughout both verses. Also this song is in the movie called “The Equalizer” starring Denzel Washington it came out the same year this came out in 2014 and was the lead single for the Shady XV compilation album (Listened to this song on replay for hours. It speaks volumes. People live in fear whether in a relationship or faced with a situation in life that they cant get out of. Having the Guts to face fear in the face is do it anyway is hard. Listen to this song and you get the strength to face it! Eminem is The Goat Of Hip Hop Forever!🙇🏽‍♂🐐✨🎯💯(Thank you for doing this Please React to Eminem “Phenomenal” Music Video & “Survival” Music Video)

But the best and most clever bar in this song was the last one
" The legend of the angry blond lives on through when IAM gone , and I think I was "
And gives his back to the camera and just walks away ..
What an amazing artist he is

  • @Kornreis

Reacting to Sia, you will see other people instead of her in the video performing for her, usually wearing a blonde or black wig and this bangs/bob kind of hairstyle.. In this case it's Winnie Harlow (model).
Also some references in this song were:
3:06 "Hi, my name is" (from 1999) was the first Eminem song getting positioned in the Billboard Charts (I don't think you have reacted to it yet).
3:40 In his debut album in 1996 ("Infinite") Eminem got criticized for sounding like AZ (not Eazy-E as someone commented here) and Nas, two already famous rappers at that time.
12:21 "Just don't give a f**k" is an Eminem single from 1999 which got him more fame and marked a change in his style as he got more controversial in his lyrics than before in the "Infinite" album for example, which didn't get him much attention at the time.
Also thanks for the reaction (and the mention (changed my name from reskon here on UA-cam)), was nice to watch!
Edit: 13:15 You already know "Not Afraid" and he'd rather make a Part 2 of that song than another "We Made You" which is one of the "playful songs" he mentioned (I don't think you know it yet)

His first album Infinite he sounded like rappers from the early to mid 90's like AZ and Nas. He did not have the Slim Shady persona or some of the shock rap stuff yet. "Out came the claws" is referring to him developing that persona in response to people saying his Infinite album was too soft

Fun fact: this song is from the movie southpaw. A movie in which was inspired by Eminem life which the writer of the movie stated. Eminem started filming and was the leading role but back out of the movie a fewvweeks into filming eminem stated it was too much and said he was gonna only focus on music. Southpaw great movie wish Eminem would of keet the role.

This track is on my playlist since it came out. I'm so used to listening to it that I forgot how meaningful those lyrics are. Thanks for reacting to this song, it felt like I discovered it just now... especially after what I said in my last comment.
Guts over fear, huh? Ok... let's try.
It's crazy how things are getting easier after sharing them here... therapy? - easy, forgiving my dad? - easy, almost hundred days without smoking? - pff, easy! and I won't be surprised if overcoming my biggest fear will be another one on the list. It's been a while since I thanked you for what you did and still doing. I am where I am now thanks to you and I'll be forever grateful for that. Thank you Chris!
And of course... loved the reaction again 😁

You are so incredibly kind! It's really had to ignore the obvious elephant in the room when analyzing his poetic grandeur. All of his music seems to stem from a similar place, but so very different at the same time. The continuity and consistent hit after hit is really mind-boggling. We have all listened to LP's and have tracks that are "so-so", but I really can't imagine playing a CD from him and skipping a song. He's THAT good.

I absolutely love this video and I love Sia. She does not appear in this video the person in the video playing Sia is many Harlow a famous model who has that skin disorder that everyone else has described. She is absolutely gorgeous she is perfect the way she is. Sia is very private she does not like to show her face hence the long bangs look she wears in most of her performances you will rarely see Sia's real face there are images out there that you can see though. But mini Harlow is like I said the one that plays Sierra in this video just a nugget of information for you.😊 As I say I'm always one of your biggest fans a 53 year-old female who is in love with Eminem and his been with them since the very beginning probably know every word to every song he's ever written and the meaning behind it I hope I've caught in them. But I deserve love watching you go through the rabbit hole of Eminem I always say that. So signed one of your number one fans in California and as I said I am not a Stan as I am a female but since my name is Danielle I always sign things your favorite fan & it this is "DAN"😂 KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK LOVE WHAT YOU DO EVERYDAY I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS and see what you have posted we love you in California signed, Dannie W ❣️❣️🤗🤗

I've developed such a love for our country over the years, that I think it would have been an honor to serve that way.

I disagree, Chris. The ending is perfect. The outcome of the fight? It doesn't matter at all. Guts over fear is in the doing, not the ending. You should know that better than most, I would think. It takes guts over fear to hang on a cross, does it not? It takes guts over fear to believe, to have faith that some dude hanging on a cross some 2000+ years ago has any bearing at all on what happens to you and I when we die. It sure as hell takes guts over fear to live a life exemplifying that belief. Just because I don't personally consider myself to be one anymore doesn't mean I don't understand exactly what it takes to be a Christian and to live that lifestyle. Sure, you might think fear won out over guts in my life, and maybe it did. I can't honestly say that fear wasn't involved. In fact, to this day I still remember the fear I felt when I was supposed to go out and talk about Christ to others, which, if you truly believe it, shouldn't create fear. My fear may have been rooted in a lack of confidence in myself, but it wasn't the reason I left the faith either. I've personally met people who live a truly Christ-like life, and they have turned their fear into guts, into strength.
I left the faith because I have unanswerable questions, at least without talking directly to the God/Goddess and having an actual conversation with them. Questions like, "You claim to know everything, and have created everything. So then why did you create Lucifer knowing full well that he would betray you? Why create the other angels that followed him, or the ones that actually corrupted him? Is at least one of those claims false, or is it a psychosis," or, "You claim to love the world so much that you sent your son to die for it. What kind of father/mother/parent are you? There isn't a parent alive or dead today who wouldn't sacrifice themselves for their children rather than actively choose to sacrifice their children for themselves,". And to anyone who would come at me and say 'no, there are plenty of shitty parents out there that would definitely choose themselves over their kids,' I would argue that anyone who would do such a thing is NOT actually a parent. I would contend that the very act of being willing to sacrifice yourself for the sake of your child(ren) having better lives is the very definition of what it means to be a parent. And to bring this full circle, while I don't want to put words in his mouth, I think Eminem would agree with me. "But don't blame me when little Eric jumps off of the terrace. You shoulda been watchin' him, apparently you ain't parents."
