Your so right Jerry but I also think he is admiring Toneys greatness (pretty hard to miss) and watching Mike build with his son and also Darryl. Just beautiful still. I thought we might see More Fool Me being Phils off Selling England. Lots of folks thought it was a filler or out-of-place tune on that great work. To me, it was the first time I realized Mr. Collins has a hell of an instrument in his voice also. I always thought it was beautiful. I am a Peter era fan mostly but also adore every one of the guys especially Steve and Toney such brilliant musicians. One of the highlights of my musical being was when my 22-year-old nudged his mom forward in her seat then leaned behind her to tell me (as I was in heaven listening to the guitar solo on Firth of Fith . One of the greatest pieces of Geni. music IMO) and he said to me "music sucks in 2021 dad" he probably started with "yo" but I omitted that stupidity! All I could think of besides "he gets it" (which I knew already) was "Good on fucking me! That's my son" Next morning I woke to him working out Toneys intro on Firth. I floated down the stairs to the kitchen and I am floating at a bit over 100 kilos at this age but I felt weightless listening to my son being Toney in my home.

What a performance from the giants of prog rock. Amazing drumming from Nick! Incredible to think back to 1977 when they recorded the live version of afterglow on seconds out... Hang on... that's 44 years ago!! How time has flown. An enormous credit to the professionalism of such a great band and the legacy of music that they have left for the benefit of everyone. Steve is the criminally overlooked talent from this band and massively shows the respect and admiration he's always had for his part in it. Go see him live, don't even think about it, he deserves our respect as much as these guys do. Ironically they are touring the same UK towns at the same time.

Seen Genesis couple times ,BUT without doubt ,Hackett,Collins, Rutherford and Banks oh with Chester was better than when I saw them reunion with Daryl.
Always remember that gig mostly Trick of the Tail and wind and wuthering material.
Obviously I feel for P Collins with his physical problems But I was not going to pay a ton of dough to see Phil stuck on a stool.
While his kids good his no where near to how good Phil was say 75- early 80s as u gotta remember his Brand X drumming etc 👍

On one hand, I'm glad to see the band out there keeping the music alive. On the other, it's painful to hear Phil struggling with the singing. And his son, while a good drummer, just lacks the groove and nuance of his dad. I hate the way time ravages our bodies.
