  • On a windy November afternoon I got word of an unusual work move heading out to Greenport, and as soon as I clocked out of work I started heading East to try and catch it. I was running behind and losing hope by the second until eventually I spotted them in Cutchogue, so I quickly pulled off at one of my favorite spots seen in the first shot. From there the chase was fairly straightforward out to Greenport where I set up to get them arriving at the end of the line. The track segments on this train would later be used to replace the old tracks at Greenport station. After the foaming was over I decided to walk around town and watch the local ferry leave, and ended up finding a public piano by the dock to entertain myself with. Overall one of my favorite chases I've done for the channel, even if the footage didn't come out the way I would've liked, but I'm just glad I got to witness this extremely uncommon move for myself. Enjoy.

Nice video. First shot doesn't even look like Long Island.
Assume the track segments will be left at the station
