omg didnt steve age well in these pics. he still does it. he's still beautiful. i mean you think somebody who sings like that would sound "rock" and pretentious, but i can honestly beleive that he belives he's just steve. putting his pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us. i love you steve. -bran in detroit
A question I have had, too. Herbert in his nasty interviews made some comments about Perry having had a contract about them rerecording songs that he had done/written, etc. How he had to give permisson for the 2001 Las Vegas concert recording with Augeri which led to the VH1 special. So how does that work? I know there are performance royalties, album sales royalties-but does he really get anything from the new recordings of his songs they have done? Hope he does-he co-wrote most all of them!
I completely agree....The Journey of now is more like a tribute band...Riding on the coat tails of Steve Perry...They need to give it up...They have destroyed Journey's legacy..
Neal said it himself that Perry was THE voice of Journey and always would be....why do you think that they stick with people who sound like him? Neal's guitar is an extention of that voice...can't he play anymore without someone who sounds like Steve singing? AHA! That must be it!lol
u know,I passed all the day asking my father:"WHY STEVE PERRY LEFT JOURNEYYYYYYY????WHY HE DOESN T SING WITH THEM ANYMORE?????IT WAS AN AMAZING BAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!" when I knew he left the band.
Seems like Schon's parents just let him run wild-skipped school, dropped out and joined Santana at 15-and even now, when you listen to interviews, he sounds like a 15 year old uneducated kid talking. Brilliant guitarist, but seems to not have grown personally one whit in 40 years. And what is he on now, his 4th or 5th marital breakup? Megan 0239-right on! Funny how Revelation is one whole CD of SP covers, with the other being the new music-and only one of those songs was a minor hit-cover band!
I don't begrudge Neal and the guys for continuing on with Arnel. But I could never go see Journey without Steve it would be too sad for me. Just being honest. btw does Steve get any money from them rerecording the Journey Steve songs with Arnel?
@jannierocks It's all about the money man! They were all making money off that album. That's why they were all so happy. When they stopped making money off that album is when they turned their backs on Perry. Sad but true.
Sometimes I wonder...maybe he's bipolar! He's said the most complimentary things about Steve Perry, then before you know it he's jamming a knife in the back! GREAT guitarist, no doubt about it; people skills?---needs some work!

They should just do anything in their power to get Steve back, they will never be the same with out him. He his the VOICE and soul of Journey.

Such a shame. They seemed to feed off of one another when they're writing and recording. Unfortunately, Neil lacks normal social skills.

It's a shame the TBF tour didn't go off because it would've been bootlegged like crazy. Even today, Journey is probably the most bootlegged band.
