- Building a campervan and wondering how you'll keep warm through the winter? Your insulation can only do so much - we highly recommend installing a diesel heater. We'll show you how to install an Eberspacher diesel heater. Let's go through how a diesel heater works, the steps involved in installing it, our tips for installing a diesel heater and where the best place to install one in a Sprinter campervan is.

ABOUT THIS BUILD
We're undertaking ANOTHER campervan build. This time it's for my mom! We're building her a campervan in a long wheel base Mercedes Sprinter. From about week 2 of the build she's been living in the van. And since it's getting really cold, we're installing a diesel heater so she can survive winter in the van.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video!!!! I’ve been losing my mind trying to figure the fuse box and battery wiring. You seriously have made my week.
So far this is the best tutorial I've been able to find. Thanks guys.
Thanks heaps guys! I was stuck on the wiring for ages! Much appreciated
Wireing to battery would have been really helpful also
Good vid! Clear and concise.
Great video thanks for sharing! All the pro-van builders I've spoken to go for fitting it under the drivers seat, external. I guess this is so the exhaust can vent towards the road, rather than the pavement!
Great video thanks for all the tips!!! 👍🏼
Thank you!!

Thank you for sharing
Great video, thanks for the info 👍
No problem! So glad we could help 😊
You know it's a winter installation when you're doing some of it by torch light 😂
Haha yes! The WORST time of year to build a van but it'd be just as frustrating building it in summer instead of exploring while it's warm.
Excellent video & description 😬👍🏻
Thanks so much Safari! 😃
Hannah and Myron - Van life in Europe - Hopefully see you at Camp Qwerky this year? - Did you see Greg’s video? I shot the drone footage
Yes definitely! We’re there every year as Hannah works for Quirky Campers ☺️
Nice Job 👍
Thanks so much Andy. 😃🚐
Hi! dear friends! Can you explain if the Easy Start Pro allow you to configure the temperature and make the heater start-stop-start based on this set up of your chosen temperature? Thanks!
Hey, great video, makes it seem less daunting. However, was wondering how you connect the wee fuel pump up to the tank? Your vid skipped that section or am i being stoopid? any help would be grand!
Thanks!
Nice video. Your diesel intake diagram to the fuel pump seems to be inverted from your actual install. Am I missing something?
Looks identical to your old heater. What is the difference?
Thanks for this. I was trying to figure out how to run the intake and exhaust through insulation but then I realised I can just leave the insulation off the floor of the back area which is sealed from the main living area anyway.
So many control boxes! I'm building mine around Arduinos and ethernet. One screen (or your phone) to control everything.
Thanks. Arduinos are so cool, I always wanted to do more projects with them as the possibilities are endless. Good luck with the build!!
@@HannahandMyron That's kind of what I'm doing with the build - end-to-end 240V, 12V and Ethernet - never one without the other 2. With that in place, they can go anywhere - the options stay wide open. Since you did your own wiring, add Ethernet and then let your imagination run riot!
Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot my password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Deandre Tate instablaster ;)
@Elijah Santiago Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Hi, Did you manage to get the display to show the temperature? I have got as far as you show in your video but I'm stuck with controlling the temperature .
Why didnt you show to connect to battery
This looks the same install as the "planar". What happen to that?
Yes it’s very similar. We’ve still got that video up. ua-cam.com/video/PP_QGjEHFCw/v-deo.html I’d say the main differences were the wiring and the angle the pump needed to be installed. But you could follow either of these videos to install any brand - would recommend having the manufacturer’s instructions too though.
love the female input mate , i guess she's incharge ha ha , nice job
Easy wiring diagram please lol
