The store owner is an absolute Class Act for how generous he was and I absolutely love the deep dive you guys have done into Oud; cheers Marc, Michael and Mr. Ajwaa 🙏🏼
My Daughter now lives in Abu Dhabi , she visits Dubai maybe twice a month , I went over in October and could smell the perfumes on the traditionally dressed men as they passed . They were amazing . we need to learn Arabic perfumes . In it to win it Michael . Cheers Ade
The deep dive into the world of Oud was fascinating! I never realized the complexity and value behind these fragrances. Thank you, Marc and Michael, for this enlightening content.
I love how authentic Micheal is... no matter the context of what you guys are filming, he brings such a realistic view to all the stuff you guys review! Hoping I win something hahaha
I love how Marc and micheal enjoy reviewing these fragrances. We laugh with them and it is such a mood lifter. I love fragrance review videos the most.
Love watching you guys, one of the best duos when it comes to fragrances. You got Marc’s deep knowledge and then Michael’s adventurous spirit. Always great to watch.
" Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are "
Michael's perfume taste is just like his personality, bold and outgoing. Makes sense that he wouldn't like these serious and dark perfumes that middle easterns enjoy
@@Nozylattenno Michael wears one that was made for him. It would be in the store link. Just slipped my mind the name of it but can picture the bottle. There is now one for day wear and one for night wear.
The place i come from is called Assam in India in a very small town called Golaghat where they grow most of these Agar wood trees and we also have this tree in our very back yard . The business of Agar wood is very massive thing here , most of the families near my area is depend on these tress , it's there only means of living...😊

Coming from the whisky world, smell is SO important. And like Adam said, scents can take you places. Places, events, moments. You enter the flavor via a scene that you’ve constructed from the smell. I imagine high end scents are the same.
Guys after sometime he will come back to buy from them, trust me. I live in Qatar and when I smelled for the first time I felt same as Michael but right now I am Captivated by Oud and Arabic parfumes.
Yah, there was nothing wrong with Michael's reaction, oud is not a straightforward smell and definitely not for everybody. It is very much an acquired scent, similar to different whiskeys or cigars. Also, like Marc mentioned, most fragrances containing oud aren't even real.
Just starting out my fragrance journey and oud is one note that I am enjoying, I prefer to layer it with something citrus or sweet to balance out, pure oud issoemething I hope to enjoy one day
As always love it when you guys get together for a video. I am a big fan of oud and have been wanting to add Diwan to my collection for a while. Hoping I get lucky.
This is interesting to learn I know I haven't smelled any real oud but I do like the profile of what I've smelled eventually I'd like to try a real oud.
I'm a beginner in the whole perfume world and wow, learning about Oud was so interesting! Can't believe that it actually comes from a fungus from ancient trees and how significant it's been throughout history. Really fascinating to listen to you and Marc discuss the perfumes with the different concentrations and compositions of Oud. Really intrigued by the Diwan, the combinations sound absolute magical!
love the videos!! cant help but notice how everyone wanted to smell the fragrences again. that's the beauty of smells, they traspart you and leave you wanting more
Gentlemanly discussion and valuable insight! What I wouldn't give to smell real, high-quality oud! Anyone else tired of oud accords masquerading as real oud in perfumery??
The artistry and heritage behind these fragrances are truly captivating and testament to centuries of elegance and craftsmanship. Such a deep connection between oud and rich tradition of Arab culture. I enjoyed watching this video and learned something new.
I just visited Marc's website. It is incredible. So many offerings inside and outside of fragrances. It's a complete gathering of impressions. Phenomenal work sir.
The store owner looks very well mannered and respectful. Good vibes.
He is German. Germans are usually very composed and well-behaved. At least the ones in the US.
No this guy is special. He is an gentleman of the old days. He only wears suits usually even to go to the supermarkt. Completly selfmade
And he is just 30 or so
Except I guess the elephant in the room that he is wearing a dress...?...
@Retro_Fan. QQ: You married to your cousin and never been outside of Mississippi?

I like his sandals, I think Michael would wear them well 👌🏻

I appreciate how these two gentlemen have such different tastes in perfumes but still have a mutual respect for each other's preferences
Having an Oud oil with 100 years history is something unique and few people around the globe have it.
Yeah but 99.99% of people around the globe would have even heard/know or care what Oud oil is
Mike has no knowledge about oud but glad he's learning. Oud is very special Mike. You'll enjoy it greatly once you understand it.
