I mean c'mon, great song! Total Sublime "Southern California" vibes but unique with their own style. Love it!!
It's like Punk reggae met the roots of reggae with its own rock twist. I'm from Hawaii we live reggae here
This song defines my summer 2003, year after graduation...not a fucking care in the world! Even saw them in Baltimore a year or two later! ONE MORE MINUTE!
Late comment here but I graduated in 2003 and rocked this song all Summer afterwards without a care in the world as well. If I could relive those times I'd do it in a heart beat.
Could put this song on repeat forever and be a happy person.

Crazy story how I met these awesome guys. Me and my friend worked for fyE we snuck into Virginia beach amp theater. Acting like we were working for a tent dressed up. We walk by a tent where people were handing out free tshirts next to these guys tent. Next thing I know the singer says he we are about to go on. He said please come watch. So we got in free hung out free
Makes me miss AZ, the Mesa/Tempe area...
You're not missing much. still hot as balls, angry people, and terrible drivers.

At least the music was good!
All over the city now, seems the last 3 years has gotten worse and I've lived in PHX for 30 years
that is the first time anyone has ever said that
Growing up I hung out with Authority Zero as they were starting to blow up. My uncle was in Victim 26 and in this video in the beginning, the part where hes holding a hose you cam see his shirt says victim 26. Good ass times
Killer Bro.’ I heard them first In Glendale Pub like 2001. Jonny Weiss “Back to Phoenix.” 🎶
You mean victim 29?
Good times hung out with all of them in the early 2000's, authority, victim 26, hall 13, no gimmick, great scene back then.
Thats so sick!
Hell yeah MVT in Mesa
Arizona where ya at?!?
Hell yeah! I saw these guys back in '02 on the Punk-o-rama tour with GOB and Guttermouth. Ah the good old days.

im from Kentucky and this band n this song kicks awesome ass!! still after all these yrs n still wanna get away for one more minute!! respect
Saw them in Tucson a few times years ago. The first time I was quietly chilling by myself next to the stage when the the lead singer just hung out by me. I had no idea who it was his at the time. Then he went on stage to the set. Later he proceeded to climb the the ceiling like a damn spider and drop into the crowd. Damn fun show.
They are so good live...my favorite is painted windows
This is one of two bands that for whatever reason, I ALWAYS forgot their damn name. I never forgot their sound though.
Got to meet and see these guys years ago in Az. Bad ass group of genuine guys. Sick band
Zeros Rule!
Excellent Band!
Not bad for a Pacifico commercial
I saw them in concert years ago and the drummer bought me a beer and gave me a cigarette. I didn't know who he was until the show actually started and he walked on stage.
Good dude right there
Saw these guys in Mexico 2001 and drank with them for a week.. Some of the best times I'll never remember.
Now that’s a story!
I bought my Tee shirt from him at the Agora Theater in 2006
My brother and I was at a musical festival and we were walking with three people from Flyleaf and had no idea until they were on stage LOL this Jam is great!

Shoutout to your boy. Music never dies.
You’ll always feel like he’s watching you.
Just watched them perform in Sanford Florida 5/18/24.
They still got it.
Jealous
Just saw them in Munich. Absolutely loved it!
saw them yesterday 6/7/24 in Lille BE
I MISSED IT!!! 😭
Back when I was a band photographer for a little local magazine in So Cal, I was asked to go photograph these guys at The Whiskey. I had no idea who they were at the time, but they were one of the only bands in my entire career to really blow me away. I turned everybody I knew on to them.
Just saw these guys for the first time last night in Orlando opening for Unwritten Law. Super impressive set!! Just bought this album! Adding these dudes to my playlist for sure. Just wish it had happened much sooner!!
Omg where??? I used tob love b I thbif c these bands,ll
What?
One year later and I'm going to see them again tonight in Stuart and tomorrow in Sanford 😂
this is one of those songs that is just so powerfully distinctive and awesome that it's like "damn how did someone write something so freaking uniquely awesome?"
Learn music. Create something better or more unique.
Hell I’ll start a band with you online I’m a bassist/
Haven't listened to this since I was 8. Mom driving her old 86 f150 and we were always jammin to something. The last 18 years have not been kind...
I'm a Fan of Authority Zero! Jonny Weiss "Back to Phoenix." 🎶
How the hell are they not more popular?
Ahhhh! I found it! I was looking for this song all afternoon!
Couldn't remember the band, the song name, or sing it at all. I had the biggest brain fart. But I'll never forget it now!
I'll definitely be singing this when I got to Key West this spring B-)
In 2020 just did the same exact thing...lol
How was Key West?
This is a prime example of why the radio sucks balls. I came across these guys like 6 years ago and literally every person I've played this song for always says "how have I not heard of these guys"? Nothing against sublime cause I love their music as well, but how is it that we hear them prob 5 times a day on most radio stations but never a band like authority zero gets radio time. I'll never understand it.
I believe this song had said radio play
Scott Stalmack Because Sublime peaked when this style of music was most popular. Love both bands though.
Scott Stalmack so true!
Daniel Ross This song had a BUNCH of radio play. I remember it came out around when Nirvana's You Know You're Right was either being talked about or was actually released, and I was freaking out because I never heard who it was by, so I thought a similar deal with Sublime was going on where a bunch of recorded music was finally being released.
At least, The Buzz played it a lot in South Florida.
Could just be where I live too. Been back and forth from Michigan and Ohio the last 10 years and the radio stations where I've lived are pretty lame. Either way, Authority zero is a great band.
I'm going back to where I came from
So far away, but not so far from home
Where I lay my head down by the sea
I'm going back to where we'd go
So far away, but not so far from home
Where I'd rest, where I'd lay so peacefully
But by the way, I want a break
And put this stress aside
But above all things I want to lay by the oceanside
The ocean waves, no other way, get away
Well I'm finding!
Oh no, my daily worries want to drift away, fine!
Dying and trying just to find some sort of piece of mind
Now's the time, to get away
I'm going away, oh yeah
No other place to go,
I've wanna get away,
Let's get away, oh
Away!
One more minute, the beaches San Diego,
One more minute yeah!
One more minute, the beaches Mexico
One more minute yeah!
One more minute, we kick it back poolside
One more minute, and we're down by the Oceanside
One more minute, one more minute, one more minute!
So far away, and down on the beach
I want to clear my head and bake in the sunshine
Want to relay relaxation
With the horizon straight away
And a ring around my arm from a long day,
Of making angels in the sand
Pacifico in my hand, oh yeah
No other place to go,
I've wanna get away,
But let's get away, oh
Away!
One more minute, the beaches San Diego,
One more minute yeah!
One more minute, the beaches Mexico
One more minute yeah!
One more minute, we kick it back poolside
One more minute, and we're down by the Oceanside
One more minute, one more minute, one more minute!
The sunshine in my eyes
And the flamenco in the skies
The only way
You'll ever know, is to go,
Is to go
Is to go
Here we go
Yeah yeah
Away
One more minute, the beaches San Diego
One more minute yeah!
One more minute, the beaches Mexico
One more minute yeah!
One more minute, we kick it back pool side
One more minute and we're down bye the ocean side
One more minute, one more minute, one more minute
One more minute, the beaches San Diego
One more minute yeah!
One more minute, the beaches Mexico
One more minute yeah!
One more minute, we kick it back pool side
One more minute, and we're down bye the ocean side
One more minute, one more minute, one more minute
Awesome band. I went to school with their guitarist. It is awesome to see him with Authority Zero and doing what he always wanted to.
Who still here in 2155?!?
Seen them multiple times live. Always a pleasure to drink with them after a set. Always
I was working, pushing costco carts all fuckin day in the heat, blasting this
2022 bitches! I was a kid when this shit came out. I'm 33 now and still loving this band!
Got a sampler disk way back in the day when I was a skate grom in Oceanside with this on it. been jammin it ever since
Was it the Tremor CD?
@@chichiwvushoot idk if i recall it right tho it was a sliver cd with black lettering
The only way that it would be possible to end the commercials would be if everyone just boycotted vevo, instead of just commenting on how bad it is...
What is Punk…? That is question we’ve all asked ourselves throughout the decades. It’s been argued that not only is it the DIY attitude that is the underlying resonance that has projected punk through the ages. I tend to agree, however, Punk never got its chance to evolve. In my humble opinion, had punk gotten the recognition it deserved, Authority Zero would have been blessed with the credit of the logical progression of what we have come to know and cherish as the artistic medium known as Punk.
Who’s here September 2024?
I finally found this song after more than a decade. Good memories.
Whose still listening in 2021
Still on it in 2024
that's awesome alternative band pride of Mesa az

Right on Bro.’ Lived in Phoenix 12 years. UA-cam- Jonny Weiss “Back to Phoenix.” Am an Authority Zero fan. 🎶
Born and raised in the ghetto of 27 and Indian school.. the taste of that water coming out the hose was insanely delicious.. but gotta give it a few minutes or you'll burn your face off
11 years later from my last comment and this song just makes me think of my teen years and the friends I had. Some I miss some I dont but that's growing up I guess, I'm 38 now and this song brings back so many good memories
