I like that your showing this in real time. This shows a more realistic view of the time and patience involved in these lovely cookies. Great tutorial!
the consistency crash course really was informative. however, if our cookies don't end up having the correct shape, how do we avoid shapes lookin a mess?
I'm glad it helped! If your cookies aren't the correct shape, I suggest perfecting your sugar cookie recipe and methods (I have tips on my website in the How To section at sweethartbaking.com) but if they are a little wonky, you can always use an edible marker to draw out your design first, or draw your design out on paper/cardstock, cut it out, and use it as a stencil to draw onto your cookie with edible marker, as well, if you don't want to freehand it.
Sweet. Love them
Glad you like them!

Hi! How long does it take for the cookie, ruffles and all, to dry? And the stiff royal icing dries hard, right?
I let the flood layers dry overnight and do the ruffles the next day, but the ruffles are stiff and should be dry within 4-6 hours or so! :)
Enjoyed the cookies, so many possibilities. As for the Tiger Tail flavor. You had me until you mentioned the black licorice lol
Haha, yes - the black licorice definitely freaks some people out, for sure!
Tiger tail is my favourite.

Where do you get the ice cream cookie cutter
I got this one from Cheap Cookie Cutters online. :) But I "customized" it a little bit... by stretching it wider. Lol
OK I'll get one online thanks for the advice lol
I want to take your class to do you have a class
I don't have a class - no. Just my UA-cam channel. Maybe one of these days I'll have to do an online class. :)
oh OK thanks for telling me sweetheart baking experiment 😘
