YES!!! The honk in the tunnel made me so happy!!! We honk every time we go through the tunnel in Shenandoah National Park and people look at us like we're crazy! haha I love you videos!
Ryan, thanks for taking us along on your adventure. I enjoyed your video, especially the bears. I'm so glad you caught the one bear "meerkating". Your children were blessed to have this adventure with their dad. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Janet, I am glad to take you with us! That was the first bear that I have ever seen do that, it was really neat! I snagged them e-bikes that I found a really good deal on, so we will be back soon Lord willing & do a comparison of what they think doing it with them. ~Ryan
I’m 73 just got through two weeks ago with my last chemo been down since but I so enjoyed watching you ride through Cades cove the kids did so good thanks for taking me along a grandmother to 6 grandsons 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter
My husband and I biked the 11 mile stretch in September of 2023. I’m a female in my late 40’s, overweight but not obese and I walk often. My biking has consisted of riding campgrounds and our neighborhood with our kids. That being said I found this loop HARD. I walked up 10 different hills and down the very steep hill on the backside of the loop. My husband mountain bikes for recreation so he had no problem but I completely understand why 80% of the bikes on the trail were electric assist bikes.
I'm impressed with your children riding this challenging 11 mile loop. It was fun riding with you! I'm planning this ride this fall, but at 71 y/o I'll be riding my ebike!
Our favorite stops in Cades Cove are the Cable Mill area/gift shop and the Carter Shields cabin. Great video! Hope you all enjoyed your pancake breakfast! You earned it! 😊
Thanks JM! We ended up getting lunch together afterwords and brought some home for Brie & our oldest daughter who didn't join this trip. We hope to hit the gift shop next time we go by!
I enjoyed this video. I have been to cades Cove only once. It was many many years ago when my girls were young, probably around Micha and Hannah's age. We drove the entire route and stopped and walked to some cabins and churches. I definitely want to go back there again.
I was hoping to make it there today, but just had too much to do before heading on a week vacation this weekend. Hopefully make it there when we get back, it's awesome!
We enjoyed seeing y’all’s adventures through Cade’s Cove including all of the deer and the couple of bears that you encountered. It looks like biking is the way to go for avoiding crowds and bear jams. Although, the horse and buggy ride would be a cool way to ride though Cade’s Cove as well. Great video!
Thanks EDIS! No-Vehicle Wednesday is nice as there are times that it felt like were were the only ones there. It is nice to not worry about cars with the kids! ~Ryan
Thanks for the adventure! I'm a new subscriber. Enjoy your videos . You have a beautiful family. Loved your bicycle trip through Cades Cove. Yay! for the kids making that long ride😊
I am really talking to myself, 11 miles with no electric assistance is no joke! 😁 They are a blessing & I hope I can speak words of life & encouragement to them until my last breath on this earth! This was a lot of fun & something I hope they can go back & enjoy watching! Thanks Kim! ~Ryan
This is the best video of a bike 🚲 ride through Cades Cove that I have seen. Such a treat to see all the animals.🐻What a fun adventure for kiddos of all ages!! I always loved that they close the cove to vehicles on Wednesday’s, it just so peaceful!! Would love to see more adventures of the Smokies. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
Hi again Ryan... What a fun bicycle hike And the scenery and special surprises all along the trail were awesome. (deer, turkey, and bears) Hope you and your children enjoyed your breakfast Thank you so much Have a fun day Surie
Thank you so much for sharing. My hubby has biked it while I was reading in the picnic area. My knee wasn’t up for it even with our ebikes. 🤣🤣 Your children will remember those wonderful times forever! Great Job! Keep up the great videos. Love & God Bless Jim & Viv (aka NaNa Banana) (grandchildren gave me that name🤣)
None of us had electric bikes, all 11 miles done the old fashion way! I did pick up 2 kids electric bikes and they are on board with doing it again with those. It was a lot of fun, I can't wait to do it again! Thanks! ~Ryan
@@AdventureIsOutThere oh gotcha! In the beginning of video I guess I heard you say something about e-bikes and assumed you were riding one. You seemed to be moving pretty fast! Whew 11 miles!
I’m gonna be honest we are from Michigan and last year was our first time in Tennessee we loved it so much we decided to do it again this year your viedos of you and your family has really inspired us thank you so much your information is absolutely on point
Thanks, this is really helpful! Curious what your kids ages are and how long it took you to do the whole loop? We are going for the first time next month, but we are not "cyclists" and our kids just bike around our neighborhood like average kids. I'd like to stop at the historic stuff as well and let them explore, so wondering how long the biking portion takes at a kid-pace. Thanks!
Sarah, 10 & 12. I timed stamped the video our start & end times. It was about 2.5 hours from start to finish with all our stops. It would be a little longer if you went Into the cabins or churches which we never did. We hope this helps and you guys have a fantastic time! -Ryan & Brie
The Ray's deserve a new ballpark besides that parking garage they're in now...ugh..come on! No wonder no one goes to see them play... they'd get more fans at the Spring training parks with it being outdoors
@@TheGatlinburgHussey If they ever build a new stadium, I'd love to go by and do a video tour of it & enjoy a game! I am hoping to catch my Buccaneers play in Carolina or Atalanta this year!
@@AdventureIsOutThere if you go, take me with you .I'll buy tics . I need to see Brady play before he retires. Again..lol. life long Patriots fan being from RI
Thank you for this video, I loved it all! What a fantastic way to create memories together! I hope Hannah got her food! 2 questions… can you rent bikes and do you have more info on the carriage ride?

Cades Cove is a paved loop road inside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Tennessee. It is fantastic to drive, walk or bike! We hope you can someday, it is beautiful!
Looks like I timed stamped the video leaving at 7:21 & getting back to our vehicle at 9:47am. We took our time stopping for water & the restrooms. -Ryan
We’re headed there in the morning but are nervous about parking. How early do we actually need to be there? From what I have herd they have stopped allowing parking on the side of the road.
I timed stamped our arrival time on the video. There was still plenty of parking, but it was forecasted to rain. I would get there a little earlier with no rain in the forecast. We hope you have a great time!
Brie is more into "glamping" over the camping we did the night before to see the synchronous fireflies. She stayed home this trip with our oldest daughter. They both want to come try this with me soon! ~Ryan
