Yami was stronger than any other captain and after the timeskip he has new moves like black moon, lai slash and the deadliest one, Death thrust
Now only Julius, mareoleona and fuegolean (If he has Salamander's spirit drive) can challenge him

Jack can cut through gravity magic, so I'm not sure he couldn't take on Yami.
Also William, but on a one-on-one he'll probably be more at a disadvantage. Against multiple opponents he could drain their mana and then use it to take out Yami first... If he played his cards right he'd probably use Yami's allies as a way to prevent him from using any too powerful spells. But in a one on one... it's more likely Yami would win.

@@rudravyas343 The budget was short not enough staff because perriote didn't give bc enough animaters because they were focusing on boruto to much(not saying boruto is the reason) but anyways bc had to take matter's in it's own hands ever since juiluis vs patry and yuno and asta vs litch the budget went up so that's why spade arc animation was fire studio perrite only saw that black clover was doing tremendously good when asta vs dante fight started so they helped with asta and yami vs dante that's the reason that fight had great animation
