It would have made more sense for Pyro to use the Panic Attack instead of Stock for the combo's, I mean look at how fast it switches between primary to secondary, that is just Degreaser- Panic Attack level of switching.

The ending was dark but I like how it showed how dark pyro can be. That side of him hasn’t really been showed much since his introduction.
I love how everybody in the Live Chat was cheering for Pyro. They also celebrated when Mei was burned to death XD. I am proud of them.
That ending was freaking epic. I cheered for Pyro to avenge Scout since he lost to freakin TRACER! So Hell yeah man.

The good old rivalry between team fortress 2 vs overwatch I like their battles
This was legitimately one of their best animated fights ever, it’s likely my favourite. There needs to be more fights like this. TF2 and Overwatch are awesome, and I always love seeing TF2 characters battling in these fights. They’re under-utilized.

The fight was mainly between a heck lot of normal fire and fire power and scientifically enhanced ice. The ice was special so it couldn't be combated with normal weapons and flames. But the moment the Pyro let out something special as well was the moment it was basically the same as using normal fire vs normal ice.
I mean I love pyro a lot more but honestly I felt bad for Mei, with how she reacted in her final moments

i love the fact that pyro had 10 weapons while he can carry only 3
he had 3 melee weapon (where dmg goes to ppl connected with medic, the mallet he used against snowball and the deafault axe)
3 first handed weapons (one with mmmphmm, dragon fury and the deafault)
and 4 second handed weapons (deafault shotgun, signal flare, gas and the jetpack)
2 melee weapons you mentioned about is 3rd Degree and Homewrecker

With an ending like that I almost thought I was watching death battle.
Or rather DBX since there's no character analysis.
I just look at pyro's combo, and then look at mei's combo, and realize having the same weapons all the time, without any loadouts or other weapons, really effects animations.

This may be the first time that I was happy seeing the phlog being activaded.
Tf2 characters being allowed all weapons at once is so OP, they counter a lot, especially when combining weapons.
It depends on the rules of every 'death battle' style.
Pyro had all weapons
Mei had no ability cooldown
Both had fairly unlimited ammo (mei has unlimited ammo but had to relode her weapon)
She forgot the stop, drop and roll rule :(

Thank god pyro's other loadouts were ACTUALLY being used rather than screwattack showed scout's other primary and DIDN'T SHOWED IT IN THE ACTUALLY FIGHT AGAINST TRACER!
Such a good video. Here's my comment from another video.
Both are good fighters but in terms of a one on one death battle, I'd say Pyro would win hands down. For starters, I'm sure Pyro's flamethrower can easily melt or at the very least break away a good amount of Mei's ice wall easily since his fire is hot enough to melt metal robots. Mei does have a good long range advantage with her icicle which can headshot but it's a projectile which pyro can easily reflect with his air blast. (Worth noting, her Endothermic Blaster shoots a concentrated stream of frost which according to the wiki is "Projectile-like" which might be able to be reflected back and same goes for her ultimate which is an "Arching Projectile") Even though Mei has a healing ability, she's left stationary and staying in one spot is not something you'd want to do against a pyro that's meant to get in close and deliver a lot of DP in such a short time. Not to mention she doesn't have much mobility to escape from that close up to Pyro while Pyro has a jet pack or can flare gun hop. In terms of experience, Pyro has been fighting a wide variety of mercenaries, robots, monsters demons and magic users. Even took down an entire blue team by himself while Mei isn't really a fighter but more of a scientist with a freeze gun. In terms of durability, Pyro survived a fiery explosion in a 2 story weapons shed in the comics, can casually walk through a -50 degree blizzards without even feeling the cold.
Also from what I've seen in videos regarding Torbjorn's molten core vs Mei's Ice, the ice wall can only survive in the molten core for a few seconds before it melts. From what I've gathered, it says Torbjorn shoots molten lava which has a melting point of 1,292° and 2,372° Fahrenheit but Pyro can melt Steel robots which steel has a melting point of 1,370° degrees C or 2,500° Fahrenheit. So pyro's fire is hotter but he also has a phlogistinator which can melt things at an atomic level. So Pyro easily had this from the beginning.

Smart move from Pyro, throwing gas, then igniting the area around them gave him the ultimate advantage, without water in the air and low oxygen, Mei's ability effectiveness is reduced dramatically.
The ending was some high quality death battle levels of brutality

That ending legit sends chills down my spine. I was horrified. I forgot how they portray pyro being this cruel monster back in Meet the Pyro. Really reminds me how terrified my 12 year old self back in the day watching Meet the Pyro, excluding the pyrovision scene. The way that this video inserted Mei struggling and screaming made my heart stop. Its not because I favor Mei to win, it's just terrifying to see and listen a human being burned alive.

This animation was well done for the sprites you had, especially with the hand animated parts, you guys did a great job on this

EDIT: Also, I completely forgot that TF2 characters canonically possess weapons that are basically atomic bombs combined with their standard gear. Fire is one thing, but absolute atomization... not even the coldest arctic ice can resist that level of total destruction.
