I especially love this guy because he's a more relatable than some of the other documentaries. Sometimes, people won't learn what's precious until they spend life without it.
Its shocking when these greats say they didnt have fire to run, while those who do want it so badly lack the talent to get there....the universe is not fair
Alot of those people who "lack talent" really don't want to work hard tho, I'd say Ben trues definition of passion and a normal runners is apples and oranges
As a man that spent 12 years making zero progress running my heart out every day, only to finally see progress in my own way just recently - it only happened after I let go of my ego and embraced running for what it is, for its own sake. There is enjoyment in mediocrity, the happiness is the journey and we all get to have that. In its own way I think the universe as it relates to running is the most fair discipline.
you all prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know a method to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
If they just release documentaries on youtube 6 months after the site release then won't they make money on the youtube side also? It seems like that is what they are worried about
Actually just posting them on UA-cam would be better for the long-term. It would also grow the sport which FloTrack claims they are doing, but they really aren't. They basically have the monopoly on track and field coverage so they want you to subscribe to their website to access the videos.
Tobias Brunner I'm always amused by how surprised American runners are when a *Cross Country* race is not run on a flat grass field lol. XC in Europe is defined by mud, hills, and challenging conditions. Just two different approaches...
stevedgolfer rupp is at the top of not just American running but world running, to compare Ben true to rupp is not fair. True did make it professionally he’s actually pretty freaking fast.
Yo, we should all be happy that they actually released one for free, this is a rarety. But yeah, now that I think of it there are thousands of documentaries of equal or greater quality to this one that were released for free on youtube. hmm

yoo man
these guys are seemingly flying while talking effortlessly about a 3 minute dog run. INTENSE. humans are beautifully crazy. beautiful video.
I'm guessing it's no slower than 6:30 pace too.
Its honestly so cool to see the stories behind these GOAT runners.
It's amazing to see them come back at an old age.
Its shocking when these greats say they didnt have fire to run, while those who do want it so badly lack the talent to get there....the universe is not fair
So true. I'm one of those guys that lack talent but am just trying hard to do it stubbornly just to satisfy myself.

Watching him win the 5K in Boston in April, you would never know he wasn't all that passionate about it a few years ago.
That grin at 7:48 tells you he is satisfied with his work now.
"I saw the time 13:02 and that's when I knew I needed to quit farting around and actually run some fast times" BOIIIII.
you all prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know a method to log back into an instagram account?

@Amos Marcelo Instablaster :)
Anyone here after his "health insurance" interview?
Cool video. Interesting how running for skiing got him interested in running again.
I wanted to break 4 so I did than quit if anything this makes me hate him . Pure talent
This is a man that likes himself.
I was worried I was the only one that thought this.
Do you mean like... nobody likes Ben True more than Ben True likes Ben True?
Plenty of people up in Maine who've always loved Ben. That being said if you can't learn to love yourself you're wasting your time in life.
If he's not hurting anyone in the process, more power to him
What are the saucony split shorts at 11:52 called??
This is awsome
Beginning of video "I feel like I was born to run"
3 minutes in "I didn't want to run, I preferred skiing"
Haven't you ever turned your back on what you were meant to do?
Yes I see it. The older you get the more this is true.
True*
Hi
Beginning: present tense
3 minutes in: past tense.
Nice marathon run...too! 7th sounds Lucky
He has the same spikes as me!!! I thought I was the only person who had them because they are pretty old. Saucony endorphin MD3!!!
whats the song at the start???

understandable but with the time frame gap from release dates on different platforms then I think it would boost viewership and interest
Actually just posting them on UA-cam would be better for the long-term. It would also grow the sport which FloTrack claims they are doing, but they really aren't. They basically have the monopoly on track and field coverage so they want you to subscribe to their website to access the videos.
Ben was great in age group usatf.
Is he any relation to Micah True?
What is the music at the beginning of the video?
#TeamTrue
Why is he so shocked by the xc course? Little girls race these...
Tobias Brunner I'm always amused by how surprised American runners are when a *Cross Country* race is not run on a flat grass field lol. XC in Europe is defined by mud, hills, and challenging conditions. Just two different approaches...
Hardoooooo
You better thank God everyday you're living and breathing good God gave you life and take away your breath
God bless
Lit
Ben my team mate
If he is saying they can't stage a race on that, there is some nice proof that American XC courses are weak af and may as well be on road
Ohhh! SARAH TRUE 's husband! : ^ ) Ha ha, just jokin' Ben - nice video!
JUST THINK...JACOB AT 18 YRS. RAN A 13:01 OR 2...INCR.
Poor dog ;-;
Why did he never make it professionally? Compared to Rupp who won at the highest level over all distances...
stevedgolfer rupp is at the top of not just American running but world running, to compare Ben true to rupp is not fair. True did make it professionally he’s actually pretty freaking fast.
13:02 and a pro contract, world champs representations on cross and track, sub 4 miler he hasn’t done badly
He's a champ at all the shorter distances. The average person only knows marathoners.
evan jager was in there haha
jakob ingebrigtsen easily runs sub 13 now
NilleMr20 in what race? I haven’t seen him break 13’s yet
Why do you make people pay for these crap documentary series? All of these should be free.
Yo, we should all be happy that they actually released one for free, this is a rarety. But yeah, now that I think of it there are thousands of documentaries of equal or greater quality to this one that were released for free on youtube. hmm
If you consider them to be crap, then why do you care?
Bruuh, you're miserable. Stop spreading your misery
