Spray Foam Does NOT Stop Bees from Building A Hive! |

- I recently got called to a workplace on the Pasadena-Altadena border where bees had mysteriously appeared inside. 🐝🔍 The client had no idea they had a massive beehive for over six months! 🤯
Initially, they didn't want to hire me and tried to DIY the removal by sealing the entry point with spray foam, which, spoiler alert, doesn't work. It only made the bees angrier!
When I arrived, I found foam spread at the entrance and had to step in to save the day. I opened up the wood, removed all the honeycomb (there was a lot!), and relocated the bees to a bee box. 🐝🏡
Remember, sealing up bees is a big no-no! If you have a bee problem, call a professional. Let's keep those bees safe and happy.

Nice combs. Now I want a buttery biscuit with honey and some green tea with fresh honey. Yum.
Hahaha I'm so with you on that 😅
Eli the BEE guy 🐝
Heck yeah🙌🙌🙌
I hope you save them !! ^^
Do you ever use those frames that go inside the box that you attach the existing hive to?
Eli, that's just absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️🐝🐝
I love the bees, I have loved them since i was a little girl. Talked my father into saving a pretty hive inside my swing set poles. He said ok, much to my delight. They didn't hurt me, and I watched them for hours. These hives are magnificent. About how long would it take to build a colony this large? Thanks for saving our bees..❤🐝
.... There are a lot of factors! The weather is one of the main one, age of queen, & the hive equipment etc.
Call the bee rescue 🤔👌
What are you doing after, with the bees you take ..? ^^
Relocate them to new beehive
Hell yeah BO!
😂🙌🙌
Can you link the long form video, if there is one, to your shorts please 😊
Brutal! ❤

I like 🐝
Me too😊
If foam doesn't stop the bees then what can? Or is that only after the fact once they're in there that you meant?
Well they tried to seal the bees inside the wall....makes the issue worse. But after removing bees, you should use either stucco patch or steel whool
Luckily they didnt spray raid first 😅
Raid doesn't do anything for bees 😂
@JonFromWA I've seen plenty of people kill a whole colony that moved into the walls of their house after only spraying raid once. Bees are extremely suseptible to any form of pesticide. After some of the workers and the entrance to the colony are exposed to pesticide, it will rapidly spread throughout the entire colony via their social interactions. When bees die in someone's walls, they begin to rot. The smell is horrible.
@JonFromWA exactly haha just pisses them off
Hey, 3 points of contact at all times. Osha will shut you down. After you get the bees cleared, of course!
