  • This week we’re continuing our series on feeding the brain. There’s an ample amount of research about the importance of tapping into the mind-body connection, or tuning into our emotional and mental states, to rewire our neuropathways and relieve anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts. Dr. Caroline Leaf joins me for a fascinating conversation about “cleaning up the mental mess” and taking back control over your thoughts and life.
    In today’s episode, Dr. Leaf:
--explains the difference between the “mind” and the “brain”
--discusses how to use the conscious mind to connect with your nonconscious mind
--walks us through her neurocycle program to detox and rebuild the brain

I really appreciate Caroline Leaf’s knowledge on the brain, body, and mind connection. I am beginning summer classes and have recently realized how I want to serve others through a career in the future at almost 40 years old. Therefore, Carolines’s application of healing the brain, and Ian’s interpretation through the lens of the Enneagram and narrative therapy has confirmed why I’m going back to school. Thank you Ian and Anthony for having such wonderful guests. The enneagram and your podcast has truly changed my life for the better. I guess it’s never too late to go back to school!!

There may be helpful content in this conversation, but Dr. Leaf's use of language and analogies referencing physics are all so wrong I am unable to hear it.

Very hard to understand, talks too fast. It’s unfortunate, it would’ve been such a good interview.
