Looking to head out to port for the first time on my tinny next weekend any suggestions on where to fish without a sounder, also ideal bait/lures to use? have heard live mullet and prawns are the go to..tried landbased from Kirra st boat ramp 2 weeks ago and managed a 1m Blacktip reefy on a tiny live poddy mullet..goal is to catch a PB golden slab, silver ghost or snapper/squire (current pb isn't hard to beat lol) ...thank you and tight lines to everyone 🎣
@@MatthewCutter-m3x Hey mate! Any of the reefs around Clara rock will hold squire. Not that I use bait ever but I can imagine dropping a live mullet or live prawns around any of the terminals down at the mouth will give you a decent chance of pulling up a Jew or thread. There has been a few around down there often rather spread out but you would probably get an eat on a live bait if you put the time in. 👍🤙
@A.CFishingextreme Thanks mate! It’s a Samaki Zing Extreme V2 6-12lb 6’6” and the reel is a Diawa Tatula SV 70. 10lb braid and 16lb fluorocarbon leader. 🤙👍
@@martytuckerfishing THANK'S Marty going down tomorrow morning for a fish hopefully the fish will cooperate . NEW PKT, purple haze prawns to try. Cheers Chris

Marty what size leader do you use when your after squire 30lb. ?

@@dingydate I usually use 16-20lb fluorocarbon if I’m specifically targeting squire mate.
