- We did it! We finished the conversion of our bus and it turned out so beautifully. It took 4 months of solid work and a lot of sweat and tears but we are done and we couldn’t be more proud of what we achieved. We took a shitty situation (Covid) and used it to create a dream. Along the way we had many successes and also many failures but we persevered and took and idea from paper to a reality.
The Bus name is Edgar after Edgar Allen Poe and we went with a rich boudoir, gentleman’s club/old yacht meets Victorian/steampunk aesthetic for our look and feel. We pretty much built everything from scratch including our gorgeous cognac tufted leather sofa for which we had to learn how to do some serious upholstery. Along the way we learned to weld, we learned how to design and build solar systems, we learned how to do plumbing and drainage as well as wiring and electrical. We did it all ourselves and couldn’t be more proud.

The decor reminds me of the train car from the TV show "The Wild, Wild West".....luxurious.

For over 10 yrs I worked in a museum, so I’m used to designers and craftsmen, creating spectacular illusions. Your Victorian bus brings back sweet memories. Deeply impressed!
