- Welcome to our school bus conversion tour! We put a ton of effort into our SKOOLIE and we hope it shows as we take you through our tiny home on wheels!
We focused on keeping things as simple as possible and creating an open floor plan while ensuring we could stay off-grid. We love living in our skoolie and enjoying the lifestyle that comes with it.

This is the most incredibly well thought out and beautifully designed bus I’ve ever seen, and I’m right there with you as far as watching every bus tour, van tour, and tiny home on UA-cam. It’s the only reason I watch it nowadays! I want to build a bus for when my kids go off the college soon to travel. Wow, your build is incredible! I’m just honestly blown away, you guys have every luxury, tons of room but a small enough bus still. Great job, and great video. Your quality of editing is great too!

"Multipurpose Drawer" - Lol, that's such a great name for the junk drawer! Although, my multipurpose drawer isn't anywhere near as neat and tidy as yours.

I love that u both r so young yet made such a smart decision so early in life. I think its great that your ambition wasn't to fit the cookie cutter dream of the gated home with 2.5 kids and a job that pays u just enough to afford the monthly mortgage car repayments utilities bills. I'm very proud of your determination to be fully self reliant and off the grid at such a young age. I just wish I had thought of this at your age. But I didn't even have a utube at your age where we can learn how to do all thid stuff.

I love it! So many have the white sterile new vans .They don't decorate and there's no life inside. You bus is alive and minimalist with style. Love the colors. I love galvanized steel,so vintage so efficient.
I like the bed arrangement. Multiple use space. So many make a set position bed and that seems like a waste of space.
I love your flior plan. It's so roomy in the back, and having two tables you can use and lots of kitchen counter space. Very nicely done!

One day I'm going to get the courage to live this lifestyle. Being in south Florida doesn't help as buying a bus to convert is like speaking Chinese -no one knows out here. Your bus is beautiful and functional. It's one of the best I've seen.
If we can do it, anyone can...and that’s the truth! Our hometown in Michigan is not familiar to the idea but we were very supported (and drew lots of curious eyes lol). Thank you for the compliments, means a lot :)

I have seen tons of builds and this is truly efficient and functional. It beats trying to park a full size bus, which must be a serious challenge to find parking. Great job guys. I would definitely want to replicate this design.

Beautiful couple, beautiful & functional build!!
Love the tour, my favorite part was seeing how the cubic mini takes up so little space. I have not yet installed any heat yet. I like the fact that no power is needed to run the cubic mini. The curtain support rods in the cab and above the bus door are great ideas I can add to mine. During my June 2020 vacation I discovered just how much massive heat was being generated by the cab.
Glad you enjoyed! We are big fans of the cubic mini. And yes we’re even thinking of thickening those curtains
@@bonafideoutside as far as my curtains I opted to make and use a nice pattern and put black out curtains on the backside of them that I can’t see and use fanfold insulation on the windows on the two hot or too cold days. But I did consider using just curtains like your set up.

Thank you! Sure, we have roughly 23,000 into our build including insurance and a lot of hard labor. We have gotten this question a lot so we are thinking we will do a future budget breakdown video and share how others could do theirs cheaper. We could have done things much cheaper if we didn't put ourselves under such a time constraint. Would that be something you'd be interested in seeing?

Thank you! I think we may have to do a budget video because that is a popular question! The most expensive items were the toilet, solar, mini wood stove and MI insurance. We paid roughly 23,000 total but we were under time constraint. There are definitely ways to go cheaper if you have a lot of time

When you forget that the tour is of a home on wheels and you think that you're inside a luxurious vacation studio apartment; where to begin?...amazing roof deck, nice, clean, functional inside/outside shower, multi purpose bedroom/living room area, perfect kitchen layout, and a damn big 55 GALLONS WATER TANK! A very nice setup. I love the mobile shower! So convenient and let's you keep the sand, dirt and grit outside when weather permits. Nice size bed too! Well planned out,
