I have been a Chicago fan since 67 and 68. Every band changes and ages. This is now a band supporting a lead singer. Thanks for the music and thanks for the memories.

My wife and I saw Chicago in concert about seven years ago, when they still had Jason Scheff and Lou Pardini. I've been a fan since the beginning. I bought their debut album in 1971, when I was 16. I was thrilled to hear them open the show with "Introduction" as they did here. I didn't even know that they play that one live.

Robert's reaction when Neil hit that super-high note on "I also hope to keep a steady high" is priceless!

When Chicago got Jeff Coffey , bass and tenor vocals, I thought they were in for a resurgence. Coffey was awesome, but they mistreated him and he left. I cannot stand this vocal only replacement that is just plain substandard. I have been a Chicago fan since the early 70's, but it is time to shut down the band. I played the songs from the new CD on youtube and they pretty much all sucked! I would rather hear Leonid and Friends play these songs. Three original members and a cover group just cannot cut it! (Well, with Jeff Coffey they could.) I have seen Chicago live probably more than 20 times since 1977, but would not pay to see them now. Well, this isn't really Chicago.

Amen to that! Coffey was the best thing they had in years and they were too blind to see!

I saw the Jason Scheff/Lou Pardini version about 7 years ago. I thought that was the last good version. I heard that Coffey and the drummer Imboden quit because they didn't want to play as many shows as the band scheduled. Having said that, I'd still pay to see them, because I like their songs.

@@randyjordan5521 - I saw the entire original Chicago, with Terry Kath, in July of 1977, approximately 6 months before Kath died. They were still great! They were never really Chicago after losing Terry Kath.

@@bostonterrierplanet-bn1ge Well we know that, but I was never able to see them until just about 7 years ago. I saw them the last year before Walt Parazaider retired, so I at least got to the see the original horn guys along with Robert Lamm. They're actually playing in my city this year. I haven't made up my mind whether I'll bother to see them again. I was pretty well satisfied with the show I saw. They played most of my favorites including "Dialogue", "I'm A Man," and the "Ballet" suite. "Beginnings" is my all-time favorite song, even though I'm a huge Beatles fan, and I got to see Robert sing that one too. They finished with "Free" and "25 or 6 to 4."

Very well said. I've seen Chicago about 6 times from 1988 to 1999, their shows became predictable and they weren't doing any new material so I quit seeing them. Jeff Coffey was a good fit, but that was very short lived.

Why should they retire? They play 100 sold out shows a year including a Las Vegas residency. This is what they do. What do you want them to do-- become dentists? They are touring musicians.

Dude they’ve been playing for 57 years! Robert and the horns sound great still. Keep it going yall. Neil I honestly do not like him as a lead but anyways overall good job.
