This Hawaii trip was 14 days with 12 days on Maui and 2 days on Oahu. On Maui, we stayed in Wailea as we really enjoy south Maui. However, Napili beach is especially beautiful.
On Oahu, we are partial to the North Shore and Haleiwa. For quality ukulele's, visit The Ukulele Site - Hawaii Music Supply in Haleiwa. I love the vibe of the Pipeline and could sit on that beach for hours. Shark's Cove is great for some waist deep snorkeling. You'd be surprised by the amount of fish that get washed into there. Perfect for younger kids. Just be careful stepping on the lava rock! When returning to Maui, we enjoy riding around Oahu making our way back to the airport.
Regarding the drone, I was surprised by the amount of people that approached me while flying it. All were very receptive, inquisitive and amazed at the drone's capabilities. I enjoyed sharing my limited experience. I mentioned to everyone regarding my FAA registration which I believe to be a good thing. People are more at ease knowing we are registered and have FAA rules to follow.

Since we follow your footage on Google maps and street view we appreciate the geographic references. Finally, as a fellow film maker, I appreciate that you posted your technical date at the tail of your film.
Agree about the mountains. We will be in Florida and I was just commenting the same thing. No mountains. Not sure how the drone videos will look when everything is flat. I'm guessing....fly a little lower!

Unlock the gimbal to achieve 30 degrees higher in the DJI settings. Then
aim the camera all the way up, fly backwards at full speed, and slowly
pan down for a very cool shot! I think you should give that a try! Check

Actually, for this camera, the DJI Osmo, I just went with auto settings. Only because there are shadows and different lighting.

Very easy to register at FAA. Just do it online. No issues bringing on the airplane. I carry it on.

+Mr Dron I have only flown a little over a half mile away and I got good HD picture. No warning comes up since I have unlimited distance set. I need to test 1 mile or more away.

Looks beautiful! Really miss Hawaii. Great drone footage. Did you have any problems flying your drone in Hawaii?
The only problem is the wind occasionally. As long as you are respectful of people's privacy and don't annoy people on the beach with a buzzing drone, everyone has been pleasant when they come up to me and ask about the drone. I typically fly for 15 minutes and then I'm done and move on to another location.

Hi every time I flight my drone I get a lot warnings and I don't what what to do the warnings say (strong interference )
+Willian Abarca you are probably flying around a lot of wires are metal that's interfering with your compass and gps; and make sure your antennas are set in the right position
+Willian Abarca Make sure your cellphone is not next to the drone. Stay away from parked cars. Basically, you need some clearance between the drone and anything metallic or something producing a wireless signal. This sounds impossible, but it really isn't. I haven't had a problem. The only other possibility is you are on top of metal rock or major piping under ground.
is this the non pro edition? and did you have any signal issues?
This is the DJI Phantom 3 Professional. I had no signal issues.

+Armendi Adventures No issue. I carried it on in the DJI back pack. Go to the very end of the video to see the camera settings. I'm going back this later this year and will bring it again.
Question - from another DJI Phantom 3 professional copter owner - How long did it take you to upload that long of a 4K video? Just wondered as I can take 4K vids also, but MAN the upload time just takes the fun out of it.
I don't remember the timing, but it didn't seem like it was a long time. I use FCPX and Compressor. I have 50Mbps upload speed. Do a Google search for "improve youtube upload speed". Maybe that will help.

Nice cinematography, but you GOTTA port-process this to bump saturation, contrast and/or gamma - then it would ROCK.
Yes, this is before I knew about LUTS and proper color grading. Next Maui video will be better....I hope!

Its Always Funny in Sillydelphia Firefox is worse since it has 32bit and 30fps. chrome somehow works better. maybe it's the toolbars on my firefox?
