That Gameboy Advance is "The King Of Fighters DX Neo Blood Edition" based off the game. It's highly sought after. Especially if you can find one with the box!
Just wanted to let you know I watched almost all of your videos and you sir are my favorite youtuber with the best content. Loving the Europe game excursions - I plan on doing that next year!
I have been following your channel for a couple of months now,and just got this video in my recommended list, i am from amsterdam and was very surprised to see my old supervision gameboy clone that i sold at the game over gamestore in your video🤣🤣
awesome video, loving these europe adventure vlogs especially being from the UK myself but never been abroad! love the eevee plush at 0:55 and 3:05 reminds me of assassin's creed jump spots :D
About GameStops in Europe. For example, in Finland the last GameStops closed down in July 2020. Sad thing. I used to find many good retro games from GameStop. Great video!
Actually, the hook at the top of the building is to get furniture up into apartments/homes/the building in general. In ye olde Amsterdam, buildings were taxed by their width! What this meant was that many very narrow buildings were made because it was much cheaper! The downside to this of course, being that the staircase etc become narrow too and it's impossible to move large furniture into the building, therefore the hooks are used to lift furniture up and into a window.
As a resident in Amsterdam, i wouldn't call it 'bike-friendly'. Most streets are really narrow, one way streets. Not a lot of parking, and when there is parking it is really expensive. I mean, most people would buy a house for the price of a garage parking spot in Amsterdam. So it makes sense to own a bike when you live in the city centre (or a stupid thing like the 'Biro' or 'Canta').
As a Dutchie person, that is because we don't have extreme distances like the states. You dont have to drive 1 hour or 2 hour to get to store. Gas is getting extremely expensive as well. I don't even have a driver license.

OMG!!!! YOU ARE IN MY CITY. PLEASE i hope i can see you. Happy to see you find my favorite shop game over. Now i need come to Phoenix to see you. If you are tonight in the city i work in the HOSPITALBAR. I really hope to see you
Amsterdam would be the most expensive place to find games there, like London would be here. In general older games are way cheaper here than in the US. Often you’ll pick up a games like ‘this is $30’ but here it’s like £5 on eBay. Enjoying this style of vids!
Man it sucks that its almost impossible to try and game hunt in the uk. Unless its a rare game then you cant make anything, and finding a rare game is just stupid lucky. Cex prices all games off ebay so you cannot make any money on them
There's a hotel in Amsterdam called the Arcade hotel and each room has a retro games machine and a library to borrow whatever you want from the lobby. I've stayed there before and it's brilliant.
coffeeshop ben on kolksteeg used to be my go to coffeeshop before the new school zone laws forced them to shut down. i have fond memories of taking the 11pm nonstop flight out of BOS to AMS, hop a taxi from schipol to inntel (great hotel) to check in, drop my bags in the room and immediately walk next door to ben's for coffee and a spliff to get the day started (back when you could smoke/roll tobacco inside coffeeshops). now a days i usually crash in jordaan when i make it out there at an airbnb spot. amsterdam is hands down one of my favorite cities to visit
Just wanted to say you inspired me to try out resseling games with your videos, I started going through my game collection to list things that aren't to important to me for nostalgias sake. Searching through the ds games that I have I didn't think of it to much but I found I have megaman starforce 2 zerker x saurian which to my surprise most listing's for cartridge only go for 80 to alittle over 100 dollars 🙂. Thanks for the great content and motivating me
Nice video to see. Im from belgium myself so i have been a lot of times in the netherlands. Game mania is not the store you would visit for flipping stuff. Everything there is mostly high priced and new. You never find anything retro there. That game over store looks kind of cool to check out next time. Thanks for this information 👍😀
On the subject of GameStop that was mentioned in the video. They actually pulled out completely from several European countries due to the fact that almost nobody buys games in brick and mortar stores anymore. It's all online nowadays. Even for retro games. There were allready tons of established sites for that when GameStop came to town.
Hey Pheonix! Noticed the same on my trip to Amsterdam, Im from Australia (we dont have gamestop we have EBGames, when you google them they are a gamestop subsidiary). Turns out gamestop bought (most) of the european company Free Record Shop, who then opened the game mania stores... The more you know hey
Cool video! The Game Boy Advance you saw I'm 99 percent sure is the King of Fighters special edition Game Boy Advance. Maybe a little more expensive and rare than a usual one but I don't think it's too crazy. But as a Neo Geo/SNK fan I think it's super cool.
That commodore 1541 is only the diskdrive. The commode 64 wasnt included in that price XD, fun to see you in places i've been often :) Also I think the GBA is KING OF FIGHTERS EX
Was quite a surprise to see you turn up in the Netherlands. I reckon you noticed by now video game hunting in our country sucks. Hardly any decent offering and ebay prices all over the place, even in a city like Amsterdam with around 1 million inhabitants.
Awesome video! Although you did take a big detour on the bike as the GameMania and the game over are just a couple minutes walking apart :) Prices are really steep in Game Over.. always have been, great little shop with loads of good stuff though. Game Mania is a big chain and sometimes have good deals on newer games where you can trade-in old games..
Nice man, I went game hunting a few years ago in Amsterdam! didn't find much in the city centre it self, had better luck in the CEX stores in the suburbs
I was more interested in the restaurant grill that was next to the first video game store than the actual store. Europe is really expensive for video games collectors and it's really hard to find decent prices in my country too.
The King of Fighters EX was a sick fighting game on the GBA...not sure if that console was officially licensed or just a third party shell, though. Looked like a fun trip!
Can you mention me in your next vids by the way your vlog is fun to watch and so many to learn from you by the way from philippines supporting you always😁.
I live in the netherlands. If you buy a new game on release (€65) you can resell it for only €40 a week later. My nintendo switch, with skull and go grips, a V-grip, zelda botw incl. Expansion pass, skyrim, immortal fenyx rising, amiibo cards and 20+ digital games (both south park games, my time at portia, unravel 2 etc etc.) Max bid I got second hand was 360 euros. (New 'old' 2019 switch is 329 euros) Games you sell for 40 dollar go for less than 10 here.
@@DoubbleDdragon ok I get it , I used to live in Augsburg and threw weren't that much bikes like there , is crazy !! But thanks for let me know. Germany is beautiful by the way. 🤟
"So in the spirit of the citty, why don't we bike over to..." I thought you were gonna say "why don't we throw some bikes in to the canal?"
Now THAT would have gotten some views!

As someone who has been confined to my house for what feels like an eternity, this was really fun. Thank you!
I was in Amsterdam in 2013. Bikes are king there. Watch out, they are everywhere! :)
Dude this is so cool! You are killing it right now, keep it up!
Nice i live in the netherlands so really nice to see that you visit our country
Woah Tak and the power of Ju Ju that's a game I had long forgotten about!

Maastricht is more bike friendly tbh. Not too cramped. Did my bachelors degree there 😁😁😁

The European prices suck honestly

Just bought a Rock Band 4 Guitar for $1. Tested and it works. Sold it on Ebay for $125.
Caleb, thank you so much for inspiring me!
Great work Jim!
Some of those hooks are still being used today for furniture. Because the staircases are so narrow that you are not able to carry big stuff on them

I think you will probably be luckier in the UK. European market is super inferior in comparison with the US. You guys have the best stuff there!
What do you think about PAL region games? Would you buy PAL games from the NES to PlayStation era?
Cgratz to Sister Phonenix for your recent success...also Brother you are lucky for Erica humors you.

You should come to Ireland on one of your trips..great shops for games some hidden gems to be found ps1 and ps2 games for next to nothing
Amsterdam has bike laws, if you get hit by one, you'll have to pay a fine
Love how you don’t say like and subscribe before even getting to watch the video.
You should open up your own store with video games
