Sadly no mention of the Gatling Laser, my favorite weapon. The only place I know of to find it is the Brotherhood of Steel Safehouse, and with the weapon mods you become unstoppable.
there's a third way to get a Fatman on a dead prospector in cottonwood crater. there's also a unique version with a shield ( I forget the name) that gives you +10 DT . its sold by the gun runners for around 27300 caps at level 15 but only with the gun runners arsenal dlc addon
Yep, that’s called Ester. The thing is for this video, he made it a point to only shout out weapons in the base game, and Ester is from the Gun Runners Arsenal DLC.

I was hoping there would be a superior. Version of the fat man called like the morbidly obese man or a weaker version with better fire rate called the anorexic model
There's a third location that spawns a Fat Man, it's next to the body of a dead prospector in cottonwood crater. Along with some other goodies that I can't remember right now.
ALRIGHT PPL TO ALL WHO WISH TO FINALLY KNOW THE NAME OF THIS INTRO I SHALL LET U KNOW AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF ATTEMPYING TO FIND IT. INTRO SOUNDTRACK-> large and full in american landscapes by sonic liberty. This is the actual song and trust that i am not bsing none of u.
Wackfoolz haha yeah trying to sneak past it in the beginning is nearly impossible since deathclaws have really high perception with or without a stealth boy
chris vesper trick is to have ed-e with upgraded weapons or rex with rey's brain, then give lilly the cz57 avenger. then start pokin em a gauss rifle and max charges, then keep the bozar or something on hand
In fact, there's a third way to get the fat-man. U can find it on a dead prospector that's located just out the cave where lives the legendary fire gecko. you have to walk all the way through it and then, when out, you'll find a dead prospector in a radioactive pool wearing also an anti-radiations suit. I am not sure if the fat-man can be always find there or it's just a random "drop" honestly i am not sure if it is the right cave too,i found that gun so much time ago and i may be wrong. But,it's a certain thing that, the "service door" of this cave it's near camp searchlight beacuse i remember of the green air and the massive amount of radiations. I hope my comment will be useful. Peace! :)
If you really want a Fat Man, the best way to get one is through the Gun Runner's Arsenal DLC... as there are only 11 standard Mini Nukes in the entire base game of Fallout: New Vegas (fewer if you take the Wild Wasteland trait) the Gun Runner's Arsenal is the only way to have a reliable supply of Mini Nukes; and you will need to purchase one of the specially modified variants from the Vendortron to use the specialized Mini Nukes. You can either go with the standard model, which is adequately deadly by itself... or, if you have the caps to spare, and would like to reduce the chance of blowing yourself up, then purchase the unique version, called *Esther.* Esther is a modified Fat Man with a blast shield on the front. While it isn't any more powerful than the standard model, it has the benefit of grant +10 Damage Threshold and +25 Radiation Resistance when equipped, making it slightly safer to use than it's vanilla counterpart; especially if you opt for the "Big Kid" version of the Mini Nuke, which is heavier with shorter range and an increased blast radius over the standard Mini Nuke.
I gotta solution for that problem with the legendary deathclaw. A fully supped up anti material rifle loaded with explosive rounds. Turn his "Legendary" ass into mince meat!
Their names were direct references to how they were designed for detonation. The plutonium Fat Man was shaped as a sphere, and set off with conventional explosives surrounding it. This required a casing with much girth. Little Boy however used a cylinder of uranium which was shot with a second piece of uranium. The design required a much thinner casing. Also Japan is a country not a continent, and while the bombs were devastating they didn't even come close to ruining the entire land mass.
kendrick lindon yeah "like-wise-friend, like wise." - Victor the annoying, creepy, unkillable, son of a gun. but seriously i think key and peele are the best comedians apart from Jeff Dunham and Gabriel Iglesias
With 100 Explosives and all other Explosives associated perks, a standard Deathclaw would die in 1 direct hit from a standard mini-nuke on Very Hard (all damage dealt is halved, all damage taken is doubled). The Legendary Deathclaw would die in 2 hits, or 1 hit from a Big Kid (with Psycho active). At the same time, you would likely end up killing yourself as you killed the Legendary Deathclaw due to the massive damage radius.
it's a pun that has carried through from the original games in the 90s, however the fatman was renamed the "nuka-launcher" for the Japanese release of Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
5:46 Went here to wrap up the "Bleed me dry" quest. Was one hell of a fistfight, and many reloads against the final Deathclaw. Did run out of Stealth-Boys, explosives, and armor piercing ammo throughout the cave.
I've been thinking of doing a heavy weapons run in my next playthrough. For my last several games, I've played a tribal genius build specialized in the holorifle, Compliance Regulator, Fist of Rawr/She's Embrace, and throwing spears/axes. Lately, I've considered doing a heavy weapons variant of this build. I'm not sure whether I want to go with guns or energy weapons, though. I don't use explosives much beyond the odd hand grenade, and if I want to use a rocket launcher, I'll stick with a fully-modded Red Glare. Even that I've used more for drawing enemies than outright killing them. If the rocket didn't nail them first, a holorifle blast might. If using energy weapons, I might go with Tesla cannons, arc welders, Gatling lasers, and plasma casters. My sidearm needs will probably come back to the Compliance Regulator because of the paralysis-on-crit effect. And because this is a tribal Courier, I still plan on using the above unarmed and melee weapons (though I plan to use those regardless of my ranged combat skill). Energy ammo is at least interchangeable by crafting at a workbench (and if you have ED-E/Veronica in your party, you've got a portable workbench) and has fewer types to keep track of. Contrast this with juggling different types of powders, primers, and shell casings (the only thing that can be recovered from firing ballistic ammo) at a reloading bench. I could still use the good old holorifle for sniping, though, thanks to its superior efficiency over the Gauss rifles and nightvision scope. If using guns, I might want to pair weapons that use the same ammo. Bozar with That Gun for a heavy sniper build, Lucky with K9000, Mysterious Magnum with FIDO, Sleepytyme with SMMG, something like that. The fewer types of ballistic ammo I have to keep track of, the better. Since it always comes back to a sniper build, I might make Bozar/That Gun my first such character. It helps that 5.56 mm ammo is common as all fuck. Similarly, I could do Sleepytyme with a fully upgraded SMMG for when I want to switch between assassinating enemies and mowing them down like a madman. I always do Dead Money starting between levels 5-10 and steal the gold bars anyway which means free weapons and mods. I've got a mod that adds weapons from the Interplay games into FNV and one of those guns is a Browning M2, using .50 MG ammo; I might pair that with an anti-materiel rifle.
You can, just use 3 stealth boys and stick next to the mountains. Just stick to the cliff area where they can't get to u. Then kill what you can with a grenade launcher
No FAT MAN is a real world reference to one of the only two nuclear bombs ever detonated during warfare in human history (the first being Little Boy). The Fat Man was detonated over Nagasaki Japan on August 9, 1945. Comment_User It's easier to get at the Gun Runners, for a high price. They have all kinds of Mini Nukes. If you really want to use Fat Man, gather some caps and buy Esther at the Gun Runners, it's the unique version of Fat Man. Considering you are running Gun Runners' Arsenal DLC.
Dude you can go to the boomers camp where they sleep I recommend you go at 10 pm then kill the people sleeping in the tents and take the free Fatman and the three mini nukes the he has when you search him.
The ammo is located at Quarry Junction, at the Deathclaw nest. It's guarded by Deathclaw Mother, and Alpha Deathclaw, so be careful. More safe place to get the Mini Nukes, (A.K.A. Fat Man ammo) is in the Nellis Array, near the Nellis Airforce Base.
There's a mini nuke in quarry junction right next to the fat man in the water. In hidden valley one of the bunkers besides the brotherhood one has some hidden in some concrete through a door. And appearently according to other people there is some with the boomers
Those WERE their project names! Simple names were given to serious projects to lessen the chances of people figuring out what was being worked on if word got out.
When I first played I didn’t know about the death claws and I kinda just walked through and only died when I walked back because of a glitch I heard of and died instantly
Man, you have a great underestimated channel here. +1sub. Keep the subtitles, they really help no-americans. Sorry for the bad english. Greetings from Brazil.
You can also always find a Fat Man if you travel to an area just outside of Red Rock Canyon, on a dead super mutant near the nest of Cazador eggs required for the "Bleed me Dry" quest.
There's another place to find the fat man. At the very end of the river, past cottonwood cove, there's an in climb. Go up this and kill the deathclaws there. Afterwards go to the small pool of water, there's a dead body laying next to it.
You can also find the Fatman sitting by some skeletons in a canyon south-west of Jacobstown, the canyon links the valley south of Jacobstown with Red Rock Canyon. The area is infested with Cazadores, though.
the thermic lance can also b found in the brotherhood of steeles secrt bunker in hidden valley in their store after ur able to purchase from it,which means u have to go through vaults looking for parts for their bunkr.1 of the vaults tht u may go through is vault 34 where thereis also a chamber with a rare gun known as the al american
Well the trivia is mainly to inform about the Vengeance and Mercy thing, how they have names with complete opposite meanings yet are the most powerful weapons in both games, and can be found in similar places.
It is also sometimes (or always I'm not sure) located on a super mutant master next to a cazador nest southeast of Jacobstown, visited in the quest Bleed Me Dry.
The Fat Man can also be found (sometimes, I found it on one of my saves, but on another playthrough it wasn't there. Not sure why though) in Cottonwood crater, by the water next to a dead body.
In Fallout 3 the Flamer and Incinerator are classified as big guns due to any weapon, energy or bullet if it is very large. In New Vegas it is in energy weapons because it does not use bullets.
You can also find several more Fat Man's by making your way around the edge of the map. I found my Fat Man at the edge of the map, East. I simply looted a super mutant master corpse, but unfortunately it was guarded by Cazadors and other deadly enemies.
Here's a nice trivia. In Fallout New Vegas the strongest weapon in the game is Mercy and can be found in the only cave full of Deathclaws in the game. In Fallout 3 the strongest weapon in the game is a unique gatling laser called Vengeance, can also be found in the only Deathclaw cave in the game.
A Fat Man alongside some C4 and other explosive goodies can be found in the canyon quite a bit west of Jacobstown on a dead Mutant. The area is FLOODED with Cazadores though so beware if you go there.
Yes, I believe the grenade machine gun can be bought from the gun runners but you have to be a certain level and it will cost you a small fortune in caps.
esther is a dlc weapon and Linkthe1st is finding the dlc weapon guide time consuming to do as well as tedious its covered in one of his blogs when you find it for future reference its better if people stop asking about it and wait for it when it arrives
There are only 12 mini-nukes to be found in the Wasteland. If you have the Gun Runner's Arsenal though, you can get not only more kinds of nukes, but also give you a buyable supply of mini-nukes.
It's unmarked, that's a pretty good reason it I chose no to bring it up. "Ok there are two clearly marked and easy to find fatman catapults, but let me give you some complicated directions for how to find another!" Do you catch my drift?
Go in there, sneak around, get Criticals with the AMR, and have a TON of Stimpaks. If you have perks for higher criticals, then you will have no trouble getting through.
During the Quest with Quarry Junction and Red at the Thorn, I was level 9, had no good weapons, and snuck past all of the deathclaws! I alerted them a few times, but I was high up on the giant rock machine and I managed to kill a few. I got the Fatman, and DeathClaw eggs without even being touched by a DeathClaw!
1.quarry junction inside the mini cave towards the back 2. doing the ant quest for the boomers the ammo is on a metal shelves 3. get lucky at a merchant
There is a trail littered with cazadores, super mutants and gecko's up in the mountains. You have to head south of the Remnants Bunker and go down the trail until you find a dead super mutant master laying next to a cazador hive. He has a Fat Man on him + 2 mini-nukes.
4:35 there is a away to get it for free and in the best condition... simply steal it in the way that is in the video but, one you've done that, reload the autosave going into the silver rush... highlight your curser over the weapon and it will be in the best condition.
Well most won't notice that Vengeance and Mercy have completely different meanings, yet both are the most powerful weapons in the games and are found in similar places.
I found out just how dangerous Quarry Junction is the hard way... I way only about 50 minutes into the game when a guy told me to stay away from the place, and of course then i had to check it out! I got cured of that urge pretty guickly when i couldn't even damage the deathclaws with my best weapon, and it then commenced to kill me in two hits! Sometimes, you HAVE to listen to people...
I literally just finished quarry junction with a lvl 13 gun build using mainly the hunting rifle, I coulden't believe it!. It was mostly a test to see if i could, but now i feel like nothing could stand in my way :)
guys some off you were saying that he forgot several weps, but please PAY ATTENTION, the smitty special and red glare are not here because they are DoC
and now we have the smitty special too for palsma caster, plus esther for the fat man. and you can also find a fat man on a super mutant by the cazador nest, you'll see it in bleed me dry. there's also one, i believe in deathclaw promontory, but hell that place is not fun. no cover like in quarry junction, lots of deathclaws, and harder to hide than dead wind cavern. also some enclave armor there too.
If you want a follower to hold weapons and never loose them use rex or ed-e since they use unique weapons/attacks instead of ones you can find in the wasteland
The gun runners arsenal gives you esther which is stronger than the average fat man and would kill a mother deathclaw with one shot with explosives at 45 and and probably a regular mini nuke but i haven't tried that out i only tried it with the big kid. You can also use the light machine gun with armour piercing with guns at about 55 and use vats at close range to the head it will kill the death claw with about 6 bullets, that surprised me too.
PEOPLE! in the cottonwood crater, far south of cottonwood overlook and south east of fire root cavern is another fatman, however, it is on a dead prospector in a pool of radioactive water surrounded by (i think) fire geckos
if you load the game over and over when u enter the van graffs store, theres a 50/50 chance all the weapons on display come at near full if not completely full condition, not a glitch, just how the game decides to load it for u
9 years later and I'm still coming back.
10 now

@@chemhead 11 as well
Some enemies will occasionally carry a plasma caster, but the only place you will always find on no mater the play through is the silver rush.
Was this video made before or after the patch that majorly changed the Tesla Cannon?

Considering there isn't an electricsl explosion effect after it hits something, this would be after.
Nopah cave is infested with fire geckos.
NOPAH
Rinus Steynberg lol
Well i think we now know how it got its name...
explorers walk in shout "NOPAH!" and walk back out.
Rinus Steynberg yeah buy hey they dont respawn :-)
Sadly no mention of the Gatling Laser, my favorite weapon. The only place I know of to find it is the Brotherhood of Steel Safehouse, and with the weapon mods you become unstoppable.
hi from the future, till today gatling laser is still the best heavy weapon when it comes to dmg/bullet ratio
there's a third way to get a Fatman on a dead prospector in cottonwood crater. there's also a unique version with a shield ( I forget the name) that gives you +10 DT . its sold by the gun runners for around 27300 caps at level 15 but only with the gun runners arsenal dlc addon

I went back to the start of the video just to look at the intro again.
I've been all over UA-cam looking for efficient game guides and reviews. After finding out about you there's no need to look any further. Fantastic videos, awesome illustrations, and for once, videos that leave no room for confusion. Not to mention your voice skills! Definitely subscribed!
I was hoping there would be a superior. Version of the fat man called like the morbidly obese man or a weaker version with better fire rate called the anorexic model
Lawl that's hilarious mate.
Thats what mods are for. :P
someone should totally do this
kendrick lindon
Not like it would be hard just go into the geck and super charge a fatman name it and then put it some where.
there's "Esther", a slightly more powerful fat man
There's a third location that spawns a Fat Man, it's next to the body of a dead prospector in cottonwood crater. Along with some other goodies that I can't remember right now.
I also remember finding a fat man, and several c4 explosives on a dead super mutant, very far west, and the area was covered by cazadors
and one in deathclaw promontory, go east along the colorado river, you'll find it soon enough. also good for some remnants power armor.

*Looks at minigun, then sees partty hat* leaves with party hat.
Hey me, life gets good bro, keep going.
These guides are really helpful. Keep up the good work! c:
The Fat Man can also be found (sometimes, I found it on one of my saves, but on another playthrough it wasn't there. Not sure why though) in Cottonwood crater, by the water next to a dead body.
When you talk, you sound like a professional narrator. It's nice
In Fallout 3 the Flamer and Incinerator are classified as big guns due to any weapon, energy or bullet if it is very large.
In New Vegas it is in energy weapons because it does not use bullets.
it depends on your build, if you're a melee person, go with the Legion, if your a guns person, go with the NCR
Holy shit!!, iv been searching for this series all week since I re picked up new Vegas … was worried it got deleted
You can also get a Fatman from a prospector at a crater bye a cove in the bottom SW corner of the map close to where you get the tesla cannon.
Old but gold, love these videos. Got the mysterious revolver :)
i love how well you explain everything.
Those videos are so badass... well done!
this whole video is awsome, love the editing
esther is a dlc weapon and Linkthe1st is finding the dlc weapon guide time consuming to do as well as tedious its covered in one of his blogs when you find it for future reference its better if people stop asking about it and wait for it when it arrives
minigun can also be found in blackmountain in a chest in the dome as soon as u walk up
There are only 12 mini-nukes to be found in the Wasteland. If you have the Gun Runner's Arsenal though, you can get not only more kinds of nukes, but also give you a buyable supply of mini-nukes.
It's unmarked, that's a pretty good reason it I chose no to bring it up.
"Ok there are two clearly marked and easy to find fatman catapults, but let me give you some complicated directions for how to find another!"
Do you catch my drift?
I don't care what you are doing for vocal, it sounds awesome!!
Go in there, sneak around, get Criticals with the AMR, and have a TON of Stimpaks. If you have perks for higher criticals, then you will have no trouble getting through.
who would dislike this video? this guy just made my inventory legendary!
Thanks to these vids i know have all of the big guns! Thanks dude :)
You can also get a fat man in cotton wood crater, South East of the map there's a circle on the map to show a dead guy has it but he has no mini nukes
The robot talking at the beginning of this video said that exact same thing to me in Fallout 3....and he did kick my ass.
I dont know why but your voice seems perfect for fallout commentating :)
The Fat Man can also be founded at Gun Runner but you need a high enough level like 10 or 15. Also it is very expensive
I literally just finished quarry junction with a lvl 13 gun build using mainly the hunting rifle, I coulden't believe it!. It was mostly a test to see if i could, but now i feel like nothing could stand in my way :)
guys some off you were saying that he forgot several weps, but please PAY ATTENTION, the smitty special and red glare are not here because they are DoC
all your guides are boss and i love your intro its so kool :D
and now we have the smitty special too for palsma caster, plus esther for the fat man. and you can also find a fat man on a super mutant by the cazador nest, you'll see it in bleed me dry. there's also one, i believe in deathclaw promontory, but hell that place is not fun. no cover like in quarry junction, lots of deathclaws, and harder to hide than dead wind cavern. also some enclave armor there too.
I believe so, still nice to know though. Not everyone will go as far to look details like these up.
In Fallout 3 and Oblivion if you was to pick up a weapon and go in a nother room with it the NPC would follow you so you had to be quick doing so
PEOPLE! in the cottonwood crater, far south of cottonwood overlook and south east of fire root cavern is another fatman, however, it is on a dead prospector in a pool of radioactive water surrounded by (i think) fire geckos
if you load the game over and over when u enter the van graffs store, theres a 50/50 chance all the weapons on display come at near full if not completely full condition, not a glitch, just how the game decides to load it for u
applies to all places that have weapons on displace, BOS main bunker, nellis AFB armory, etc
