6 year late but what a cool video on a bike you don't see everywhere. It's my opinion that modern classics (pick one) are awesome "do it all" bikes especially if you value aesthetics.
You should've followed that alien crash site roadsign at 6:42! I'm still impressed by the sense of joy and freedom given by your videos. This is definetely one of the best you've ever done! Also, now I feel terribly envious. Italy has gorgeous hill roads and landscapes, but nothing comparable to places like that...absolutely fantastic!
What a fantastic video. Not only you show that you can go anywhere in that bike (or any other I`ve seen you ride) you also inspire us to ride off the beaten path and out of our comfort zone. Well done mate!
I have been wanting a bike for quite awhile. This video inspired me to finally pull the trigger on a brand new Stornello. I can't thank you enough. I bought it yesterday afternoon with 3 miles on the clock. Today it has over 100. Thanks so much for all your adventure videos and reviews. Keep them coming. Liked and subscribed.
Hey Ben! Awesome to read, so pleased you went for it and got yourself a motorbike! :) The Stornello is a great machine, you will have lots of fun on it I am sure, enjoy every mile, ride free! Jamie
Jamie, great video sunny southern California is one hot place, some hotter than others. I recall needing to keep my visor closed to keep the humidity in my helmet while riding there. A buddy of mine just sent me a link to your Alaska video, then caught the Scotland, now this because of the Guzzi. I ride a 2012 Suzuki VStrom which (as of 10/2016) I've rolled over 78,000 miles on it, most on the road, some in the forest (crossing Zec Dumoine), some off road (in the southwest, Adirondack mtns of NY and Green Mountains of Vermont.) I've ridden coast to coast in the IBA 50CC, rode in the Crotona Midnight Run (the 100th Annual is coming up, midnight to 6 AM in upstate NY you may be interested in riding this one, as it is the longest running Motorcycle Rally in the world, where you will find some of the most devoted motorcycle riders) I'm looking at the Guzzi Stelvio, have you ridden one, and if so how are they on the open road for the long haul, and how about off road, and then, have any news on reliability with high mileage? I'm 53, 6'3", 225 lbs and am looking to head to my nearest dealer to see how I fit for starters and take a test run. Having ridden thru 42 States here in America to date, I'm looking at the Stelvio when this DL650 hits 100,000 miles by the end of next year, so I can ride it to and from Alaska (from New York) in 2018. Thanks for the videos, now I'm off to go ride with my 6 year old daughter, she's on a Suzuki JR50.
I love this! I love being able to pack the side cases throw the misses on the back and take off on two wheels to some random place most people would never think of and just ride! It's great to be able to tune into Motogeo and see someone who really gets it! Great Video!
sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
@Dante Asher i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This is one of the more comprehensive videos with slab city footage anywhere around, great job! Salton Sea is a great place to go for a ride as well. Love coming out there. You must have made the mistake of going in the summer.
I'm going to pick up my Stornello in 2 days, cant wait! and i also just realised i have the same boots as you haha. I really love your videos espacially this one! This video gave me the last push (dont know if you say it like that :P ) and convinced me of buying it. You made a fantastic job!
Every time I watch one of your videos, I want to jump on my bike and go! Jaime is THE MOST encouraging and inspirational guy out there....just go for a ride....
Great vid. Love how Jamie enjoys riding and introducing the surrounding, places.. thanks so much for this great vid. Come to Switzerland and let's go for a ride together :-)
I really enjoy all your videos, you have inspired me to ride more... and get out there and be adventurous. I love my Honda thank you!! Eddie from California, I just got back from riding Mulholland Highway and the Pacific coast.. beautiful!!
AWESOME VIDEO!! THAT CAMPING PLACE LOOKS QUITE DIFFERENT FROM THE TYPE OF CAMP I AM USED TO, BUT GETTING TO KNOW IT SHALL BE A FANTASTIC EXPRIENCE. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MOTOGEO TEAM!! FROM VILLA DOLORES - CORDOBA - ARGENTINA.
"That is the sweat off my back." I've wondered what it would take in SoCal for Jamie to finally complain about being hot in a non-perf, dark leather jacket. Now I know. Alpinestars makes white perf leather ;) I'm wearing mine next week to ride to Colorado and back through Arizona and Death Valley. No cameras to catch me when I start sweating bullets, though.
Very interesting. Had never heard about this place. Nice bike, too. I've never seen this model before. Better-looking than all the other scramblers and not too heavy as I've just checked the specs.
Hi James, I've just notice mostly on all of your vlog...you'd always keep your helmet with you..😊😊.. Love all of your vedio..wish i can do that too.. Reggievol Philippines
well.. I thought that traction control and abs can be switched off on the v7. let's wait for Jamie answer. anyway i wanna buy v7 "clubber" for myself:)
The traction control can be switched off, you just have to push the starting button during 3 seconds then the traction control light will be on, and that's it, its off ;)
i visited there a year ago with my friend on our bikes after the Salton sea. That place is disgusting with terrible people. People trying to scab money from you and steal your stuff. Salton sea was fun though
I know you enjoyed yourself, but I don't think you will make a return visit. That environment is very hard. I lived in the desert for about seven months and let me tell you, living there is no joke.
HEY MATE, HOW ABOUT TAKING A 40% DISABLED NAVY VET. ALONG ON A RIDE WITH YOU, SOMEDAY? I REALLY ENJOY YOUR MC TRIPS, AND HAVE A SUZUKI BOULEVARD C90T. LIVE IN S/ CA. LOVE CAMPING AND TOURING BROTHER, KEEP UP WITH THE AWESOME TRIPS. BEAUTIFUL AREAS. HOW ABOUT A RIDE THRU IRELAND?
This guy smiled more in this video than I have in 42 years.
find a Moto Guzzi friend
Lol ! yes ! and the way he eats with real genuine gusto... would make every thing look like a Michelin Star meal... the dude is a top bloke for sure
6 year late but what a cool video on a bike you don't see everywhere. It's my opinion that modern classics (pick one) are awesome "do it all" bikes especially if you value aesthetics.
You never cease to amaze me, Jamie. Your wit, humor, and humanitarian attitude are truly inspiring. Safe moto & geo, my friend!
Great video, now I want a V7 even more
why does it not have a belly pan? some was a bit close
Me too.
I'm selling my '14 V7 Stone in Green. 2600 miles. Located in Atlanta.
The quality of the shooting and the editing is outstanding. Really professional. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely could not take the background noise!

I'm curious to know more about your camera team and the kind of equipment that you guys use for your adventure videos loved the entire video...
Bravely done, Jamie... a place I think I'll avoid.
