The most beautiful Mercedes-Benz ever made! Mechatronik of Germany do a great job on these. They upgrade the chassis, electrics like windows and sunroof and fit a 5.6L V8 during the restoration. To top it all off the car can be returned into immaculate original condition at any time. Fun while owning, original when selling!
I totally see your viewpoint (and I assume you’re just talking about minor things like the reflectors on the side fenders, etc.). However, I think it really depends on what the car was like before the restoration. If the car came into the country fairly early after production, the U.S. required changes on the car (reflective side markers, and such). This particular car, while a European version, was ordered with all of the options that came on the U.S. model (Behr a/c, electric windows, etc.) and so now that the restoration has been done, it looks like it did when it was first on the road in the U.S. as a new car.
He didn't say it was a European spec. He said it was a European delivery. A U.S. spec car that the owner took deliver of in Germany. You can still do that today to combine delivery of your new Mercedes-Benz with a vacation in Europe.
I know of a 1971 280SEL sedan with a the big 4.5 V-8 and I have often wondered if it would be worth the time and money for the owner to restore it. Perhaps I'll pass this on.
Magnificent. No car company will - unfortunately - ever build anything of this quality again.
This is so beautiful I would be afraid to even sit in it. A true beauty.
what a classy work of art!!!
These old Mercedes rims are the best looking wheels ever made in my opinion
I fully agreed
Best Mercedes era btw.
I agree
They're just wheel covers over steel wheels...
@@brianthompson6561 Yeah, but that style was timeless.
So beautifully I like it.
Dear Jesus, this thing is beautiful. Simply beautiful
OUTSTANDING ❤ ❤ ❤

Silberblau ist ja sehr schöne! This is my favorite color combination, too.
The best Quality from Daimler Benz!

Who did the resto
How much does it cost to restore a car like that?
were the body panels replaced with surplus same quality steel as the original? those were extremely rust friendly.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good
Nice job.
But I don't understand why did you turn a euro spec car to U.S. spec and call it a perfect restoration job?

To do a full nut-and-bolt restoration by someone who really knows their stuff, you’re talking in the neighborhood of $200,000 or so.......
There's a better one on Utube in Germany that's a nice one but not in the same league as the German one
It is a beautiful restoration ,but not as good as the one done in Germany no where near it

3000 hours might be worth while on a cabriolet, but not so much on a coupe
😱
