- Out at 221 Motocross, we dropped the gate with a familiar face- Cooper Webb, which was Chad Reed's old "teammate", who decided to challenge Chad to a few races! The kids also went head-to-head with the fastest kids in their class! Overall, was an awesome weekend for everyone!
We're the Reeds! Chad Reed is a multi-time supercross and motocross champion and the record holder for the most main event starts in AMA supercross history, with 265 starts! After recently retiring it is time for us to start the next chapter in our lives and we've decided to bring everyone along for the ride with us on our new youtube channel The Reeds!

That's why Chad is the best! He's retired but still heavily involved in the sport! It would be awesome if Chad brought out a couple other old school riders and their kids and they all ripped it up at some local tracks! That would be awesome to watch!

I agree he was/is one of the greats. I love too see Reedy and his wife are very involved with their kids and the sport. Chad can still rip it up too.

I remember seeing Chad and coops here in Australia at the aus ex open , always good to see them ride together,
and my kids loved riding with Chad one year when he came home to Aus it was just a memorial lap for the Joel Elliot at his home town track in kurri kurri , but my kids loved it way back then and getting a photo with chad while he was there they just loved it , my kids are all grown up now but we as a family love following the reeds on UA-cam and watching them as a family do so well , well done guys you all rock
Because you're a star you get attention but I'm glad you're getting it because you're showing how Motocross truly is a family and community-oriented sport. And everybody who's involved is a fan.

It's crazy how far Motocross has come in the 70s pulling up to the track in your old pickup truck or a van the Kennedy tool box from Sears or wherever full of assorted sockets and wrenches not all these crazy luxuries of today but anyways the reeds kick butt 🦾🇺🇸😎

Tate is improving every race. He has come a long way since last year. All of them are doing great, fun to watch them grow.

This is the coolest thing ever, i always seen guys show up at local races but mostly 250 guys 1 or 2 years into there pro career...never like this with multiple champions of 450 supercross showing up to a local race on the same day, this has got to be awesome for the local kids to experience this. Sorry deegans and Buttery but the reeds took my 20 minutes of youtube a day from ya'll everyday, i still watch others , but i would never miss a reed video for anything

Love seeing the Reed kids improve every week. I know for us, there’s no better family time than at the track on the weekends. We are pumped and ready for Father’s Day weekend of racing in Point Pleasant, WV tomorrow!

If you have that issue of extreme break fade you can get a brake line vacuum puller that attaches to a compressor. Plus check all the fittings to make sure they aren't pulling air into the line/leaking fluid out but more than likely it needs a new line. The lines can flex and stretch when they get well loved and most of the pressure from pulling the lever goes into the expanding hose rather than pushing the plunger on the brake caliper.
I chased this issue for a while on one of my bikes and finally got fed up, put a new braided line on and it fixed the issue completely.
The kids are adorable and really improving so much, it's great to see.

Excellent post. Real racing! Bike issues, trying to keep things clean and kids safe, working to improve. Man coop was fast, 45 degree lean in a tiny rut 😀

Used to love when the National pros showed up at our local tracks. Don’t think one ever came on the same weekend a National was running. Awesome that Reedy gets out there. Thought Coop needed a break.
Hey 22. The front brake not releasing issue i had last weekend. There was a spring clip in the top of my caliper. It got caked with mud under the clip forcing the clip down and catching the edge of the brake pad when id engage it. The clip stopped the pad from releasing all the way. Im just running without the spring clip now so the mud washes out better after the moto.
Super cool seeing Cooper hanging out and racing local stuff, having fun again, no pressure. There is so much pressure on these guys at the pro level, I think it just burns them all all out way before their bodies are done. Look at Dungy and all the new contracts that are SX only or Outdoors only. I really think these guys need a mental break more than a physical one.

The pros should come around more often. Cooper was just at a local track up by me. We couldnt make it to see , but still cool. Some nice tracks up this way in the North East

Atualy Chad,
for your front brake you should try to get the caliper of the bike and turn the caliper around at a steady pace while bleeding it, because sometimes air gets trapt in some spots in it, so while turning, the gravity does pull the airbubbles into the stream of the brake fluid, so it gets bled perfectly.
the best reason amongst others to live in the carolinas....The reeds are super nice pleasant people to, great to see racing. sad i missed coop....dang it!

I really enjoy these videos. Kiah is super funny with her little antics. The way Tate is flying that bike is amazing. I'd AM too scared. Pace is "maturing" nicely. I would really like to see a (1-off) ride on an 80cc for Pace. (I know he is probably too short, but dad can balance him at the start). I also know from the previous video that there is an 65cc on the cards.
I only have ONE negative - Please limit the "background" music because engine sound (TO ME) is real music.
The track looked good from here, not terrible braking bumps. Great finishes!

My local tracks had Barcia and Nicoletti, among a few lesser known, as locals, when they were kids. Nicoletti visiting here and there, when he was home. I think maybe Barcia forgot about his roots.

I'm wondering if anyone remembers Pat Donahoe and Kevin Zittsloff I had sometime late 80s early 90s they were B riders but in the gravelpits A+ we would go every race we could afford Millville bringing back memories. The sand woops left turn into long sweeping right then that nice hillclimb the track went from sand to hard pack and that was the best time ever 😀
