Unfortunately the AT AT Colin built is on the wrong side of the puddle and I don't think he's got it in his yard anymore (could be wrong about that). But now I'd love to see a reenactment using his AT AT and some sweet drones. Probably wouldn't be able to topple it. It's way to big and heavy for a drone to do that, and it would probably damage the AT AT rather badly. So unless the current owner was about to have it scrapped toppling it wouldn't be a good idea.
This is so awesome! And once you add land vehicles into the mix the amount of Star Wars things you can do does nothing but multiply! Imagine making model Y-45 transports to carrier these into the sky for real!
Amazing. Cut out the AT-AT's cockpit window and put a couple of scale drivers and gunners in there. Also ground soldiers in the snow and an explosive firework in the reactor.
I get the idea; but with all the work you put into it, you could have just as easily built a working walking AT-AT. The servo's used to move the legs in, could have been applied to make it actually walk with little effort, especially if you mod the legs to automatically bend as it lift's up to step, and then bend back as it's moving forward. This way you could recreate the entire scene real time. Even better; place a few metal "catch points" on the AT-AT and attach a small 1mm magnet to the end of the tether of the snow speeder, and have the tether on a free rolling spool. Then when you simply have the snow speeder fly with the tether loosely flapping behind it, and try to attach the magnet to one of the metal "catch" points on the ATAT.
