Insane how it holds up the car, I want to see 4 flight decks under each wheel and if that would work.
I wish I had the vocabulary to explain why its stronger. Kind of works like a temper on a blade. One layer is strong but doesn't have much elasticity and snaps if it is deflected too much due to be a harder material. The other layer isn't as hard but it has more elasticity keeping allowing it flex without snapping. So when you put them together you get something that is strong and flexible making it much harder to break, and it only broke because the force of the brick was all focused in a tiny area across the edge of the brick causing a high concentration of stress in that one area, and since it hit so high on the board ,rather than middle, it wasn't able to flex at all which would allow the energy to be transferred throughout the board rather than in one concentrated area.
Charles Howard so basically the solid carbon fiber one, because of being “completely solid” (meaning a one piece of hard/tight material) made it brittle, like most hard solid metals (like iron) tend to be. But once the layering of the strong material with a more flexible inner core, a soft center if you would, made it more shock resistant by allowing the whole board to distribute the force of the impact throughout instead of in just one area, which is usually what breaks things up. Also having a thinner layer of the carbon fiber, instead of one big piece, made it more malleable (bendable/flexible) like soft solid metals (like gold)

another reason it broke i believe is because the carbon fiber is at the top, making it easier to break when hit from the bottom.

I've had my flight deck for about a year and a 1/2. I skate every day and it still rides as good as the day I got it....bit of a razor tail though.
Quick question, what size do you think is most comfortable for tricks on flat ground?
Math850y First off be safe, the 7.75-8.0 is probably good but it depends on what you are comfortable on really, also skill level, shred on man

this board is so good. I usually snap boards really quick and ive had this for a few months now and it barely has a chip on it. it has amazing pop that really never goes away too!
I have to admit though, that board put up with quite a lot of abuse before it gave up! That’s gotta be worth something ! Nice job :)

Not really. In a couple of months it would be so chipped down from the front and the back. As long as there's wood in a board, it's lifetime is very limited. Unless you don't care skating with a board missing pieces of wood and potentially cutting open your shins while bailing.

Andy Anderson switches these out every two months or so, and sometimes even before that. They won't break, but they'll wear out.
Yeah but unfortunately boards lose pop after awhile. I used to skate Chocolates & while they were hella flexible, they lost pop fairly quickly.
But I understand what you're saying. To the average kid, yeah, this board is a parents dream come true. Lol
yeah ,this thing is pretty tuff ,and unless your dickin it ,its gonna last.

I love your videos. They remind how much fun it is to just hang out and skate with your friends. I'm 32 now, I haven't skated much since about 16. I destroyed my back and have severe chronic pain now, walk with a cane a lot. But I was out cruising around tonight

I’ve been saying to skate this for about a year now and ITS FINALLY HAPPENING
Keep in mind this is a 5 ply board
I think its 5 plies of maple and 2 of carbon fiber, one on top and one in the middle.

I skated this board for almost three months. I was sceptical at first but I fell in love with this board. I do recommend this board for anyone. Will be buying another one when I can.

I’m a huge fan but just don’t have enough money to buy skateboarding made simple but you are still a huge inspiration to me and my two favourite skaters for braille are not just two I like all of them
Don't bother with SMS, the best way to learn is just to go try a trick until you figure it out.

I always see videos of people using the back wheel on the car to try and break stuff. The engine is the heaviest part of a car and your front wheels will weigh more.

Carlos wearing those big yellow sunglasses got me laughing so hard, was definitely a cool video and I totally didn't think the board would break after seeing Fetty park his Jeep on it!
Although you're not a real professional skater, I see why people find value here. You're smart finding the problems skaters have and solve them. You're doing something no other skater offers which brought you so much success. Especially targeting the beginners who look for this information.

Any advice on 3 flips and staying in your board after big Ollie’s?
I can’t tre flip, but it really is all scooping in your back foot with a bit of pop. You want to push the board in front of you a bit. Barely lean back.
Suck your knees up a lot for the ollies and commit. Good luck!
Visigothe From hell , Gram O is wrong, you definitely want to lean back on your back foot. It’s 90% scoop and 10% flick though. To help with your scoop, imagine scissor kicking your legs, so your front foot front foot kicks forward and your back kicks back more. If you let me know what you are struggling with specifically I can help you more.
