This was the 1st proper session with the new RWD MST RMX 2.0. It was still box stock so setup for concrete rather than carpet. This would explain why I was struggling with grip for most of the day.
After many, many spin outs, I gave the car to a fellow drifter (Ash) and he showed me how to set the car up for carpet. It worked wonders and he managed to dial in a lot more grip. Massive thanks go to him.
The next session will hopefully help me learn more about driving rather than setting the car up.

Thanks for watching.
Monster truck fitment right here
Indeed, but needs must. Any lower and there would have been no suspension travel. The wheel arches touched the centre of the tyre. I've got a new body for it now, so fitment is going to be on point with the new one.
Excellent day was had by all
Thanks MDS from big Al (west Suffolk drift 👍)
It was indeed. Always a blast at MDS. West Suffolk was epic last weekend as well. Video to come soon...
Great drift action man 😃👌🏻👍🏻
Thank you. It's really difficult to film your own car and make it somewhat interesting. Glad you liked the video.
RCProjects HAHA.... Yeah I know what you mean. I film and drive at the same time on my videos 🤷🏼♂️ It's not easy for sure. 😃👍🏻
I'm going to try a head mount for the GoPro next time.
RCProjects 😂😂 yeah I see that a lot. 🤔 it might work. 👍🏻
Its harder than it looks huh 😏 you’ll get the hang of it
It's a lot harder than I thought it would be. Now the car has been setup properly, it makes the learning process much easier.
I just sub bro you got skills rc drifting is kinda hard don't beat yourself up keep going bro 🤞
My second session at West Suffolk Drift was much better. Managed to link the track and hit some of the outer markers. Car setup is getting there now. Thanks for the support and for watching.
@@RCProjects no problem your welcome
bro I' try to make videos give it a look if you want to other than that keep up the good work looking forward to seeing next video
Pro tip. Let off throttle when you in a corner. And practice "snake drift" or monji's learn the snap effect of the weight transfer.
Thank you. I have noticed that it's very much full throttle then brake around the track. I went drifting again last weekend and I got the hang of it, the car had a bit more setup tuning too.
Why does his look soo smooth to drive and my yokomo yd2 e is sooo hard to drive and spins out:(
Probably cuz its rwd I'd recommend awd cuz its easier and good for beginners and then work ur way up to rwd u need practice tho for rwd
When are you uploading the West suffolk one?
Haven't even looked at the footage yet. Been busy this week. I'll most likely get some editing done tomorrow.
Lol your doing it better than me👌😎👍
You reach a point where you get the general idea and it's just about refining your skills after that.
@@RCProjects you're 100% right I've gotten a whole lot better within the past year
👍
A gyro would help?
Already got a gyro in there. Just inexperienced with RWD setup and drifting.
@@RCProjects ah okay, i wasnt sure if youve had one installed or not, therefore made the suggestion. RWD is tricky, but so rewarding when you get that perfect slide. Tuning / practice is key! Youll get there :]
With lots of help, the setup is controllable now so I can actually link a full track and control the slide. It is very rewarding when you get it right.
Why is the body so height?
The wheel arches touched the centre of the tyre so any travel in the suspension would have been resisted by that interference. New body has arrived, this one was just a basher shell.
RCProjects .Oh.Ok .Which body has you bought?
All will be revealed soon...
RCProjects .Oh.Ähm...
where can I buy the pre painted Nissan Skyline GTR-R34?
I don't think they are available anymore. It's nearly 15 years old and I haven't been able to find one.
