Very frustrating to reach over and grap the passenger side door and pull it shut. In the process it pulls the handle away from the door. When/if this happens to you it's best to take the door apart and do the screw repair as shown in this video. If you wait and keep on using the compromised door you will pull it apart requiring more work to repair. The method of drilling out the plastic and using longer screws will work. I had lots of trouble finding a replacement grap/handle. It's difficult to find out what it's called. There is a good youtube video on how to remove the interior door panel Watch that 1st then do this repair. - Навчання та стиль
Thanks for making a video mine just broke
Really appreciate this video. Did a bunch of searching for an armrest and got nothing so I was finally ready to bite the bullet and buy a whole new door panel when i came across this video while shopping for a door panel!
Thanks for this video! I just bought an old tundra with the driver door armrest missing and had a hard time finding a replacement.
After hitting the brakes hard when a green light turned straight to red the missing armrest came rolling out from under the passenger seat! So now all I have to do is buy 40 clamps and I’ll have a working door again 😁
Ray thanks for the inspiration to fix my door handle. Did just what you suggested and it worked like a charm. Only took a few minutes outside of Gorilla Glue setting up.
Great video, used it to repair the armrest on my 2004 Toyota Tundra. Armrest works better than before.
Thank you for this video!!! Fixed my armrest for 5$ instead of 400$!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! This is my exact problem, I'm going to get on this Sunday.
Toyota Sells just that part. However, the Pull Handle alone is $150. I’m going to try and repair mine first. Thanks for the video!
Gorilla glue is setting now. Thank you very much for giving me the confidence to do the same.
Thank you! My glue is setting as we speak!!
Did you use the same screws or did you get different screws?
I don't remember sorry. If the original ones reach use them if not longer may be needed Good luck
@@RayZaplatar Thank you. You did say longer screws in the video. I had to rewatch it. I used a #10, one inch long pan head for the 2 top handle screws. Went to Harbor Freight and bought about 12 different small clamps and used them all. Used the original gorilla glue. Set for a few hours. Worked like a charm. THANK YOU!!!
