You want anticipation and instant stank face on the drop? White Zombie - Electric Head Part. 1 (The Agony). Wasn't their biggest hit, but it's the perfect start to a groove metal journey. If you want a hip hop reccomendation check out Mesus - Guest.
if you only use the like system, then you will wind up missing a lot of good underground bands! like Turnstile ua-cam.com/video/gCR5jwLVf0E/v-deo.html or Jesus Piece ua-cam.com/video/ieUgvsIVWNo/v-deo.html
Another poet (Jonas Renkse) Katatonia - Serein =)
If you want korn do twisted transistor
It’s a microphone
freak on a leash, falling away from me, shoots and ladders & coming undone. all by korn :)
bowie starr freak on a leash is on his to do list!!!
@@bossladydeeadminteamstevie6566 to this day one of my favorite music videos of all time. Likely because if nostalgia.
That thing he hit was a classic 808 drum pad, korn was known to had hip hop drum beats, and 808s, this was their signature sound, love the reaction! Next you have to do freak on a leash!
Brony korn it’s on his to do list!! 🥰
The sound might be from an 808 in the studio, but in the video David hits the microphone with his stick.
yeah, i think at least live they used something called a drum trigger ... more common place today but think it was pretty new back then at least .... Korn songs from that era definitely benefit from listening with a sub-woofer as that low bass trigger can barely be heard in ear buds, etc.... sure there are good headphones nowadays that can hear it but knew some folks that blasted Korn in their cars with subwoofers back in the day to make u feel it while cruisin
When you have a system in your car... KoRn will blow your fuckin'windows out!! 🤘
Clown is one of the most underrated old school Korn song. I'd love to see a reaction to that one!
Korn has a ton of great songs. My favorite is one of their first songs “Shoots and Ladders.” You should check it out
My son was 2 or 3 when that came out and he would make me play it EVERYTIME we got in the car lol
It's so great and creepy lol, classic.
There first few albums were awsome, Life is Peachy was amazing, I haven't listened to any stuff recently but Shoots and Ladders is awsome, "No Place to Hide", umm I can't remember "A.D.I.D.A.S." is another good one. Oh man "Got The Life" and "Freak on a Leash"...can't believe I almost forgot those. They had alot off the first few Albums.
This was MY JAM when it came out...and i still rock it today
I’m really glad you reacted to this version of the song and NOT the Woodstock 99 live performance of it. When I see people start reacting to Korn, most of them who do Blind always do that live performance of it, and they do it because the fans are always like “oh you gotta do the Woodstock 99 performance of it!”, but they suggest it because of what THEY think of it and sort of expect people to look at it the same way. But they don’t really take into consideration what it’s better fit for a first time listener. People suggest that performance because of the crowd. Sometimes people gotta realize it’s the song their reacting to at the end of the day, not how the performance looks. It’s great visually, but sonically it’s doesn’t give you a very good idea of the song itself. For someone hearing it for the first time you can’t understand much of the lyrics because of how he mumbles them and you don’t get to hear the “what if I should die?” part as strongly since the music drops and the fans sing it. Anyway, not to ramble, I’m just glad this was the one you did.
808 pad is what creates that deep boom
"Starts off with really good drums!" ..................
Dude is just hitting the ride cymbol lol
😄😄😄 I thought about that too. It was like one of those things where you get a good response before it even really gets started, and you just kinda think like “alright, good crowd so far I guess” hahah I guess I can understand though, maybe he thought it was an interesting start to the song.
When this album dropped it changed the game. Everyone and their mother went and copped the 7 string guitars dropped it down two steps and got a digitech wammy pedal. Nobody sounded like this. Their first two albums r brilliant, the third album is the most commercially popular and its where most people got hooked.
Korn helped me survive my 20s and 30s. Literally. I have seen them 5 times in concert. 🔥 ✌👵🤘
Hey man, you should definitely check out Twisted transistor from Korn, specially cause you said you like different artists bringing music together, you'll see some familiar faces in the video clip haha
Davi gomes tomé freak on a leash on the list to do🥰
Such a great vid that goes with this awesome song.
I love Korn. Dude sings from a place deep. He leaves a piece of his soul in every song.
you should do these:
Freak on a Leash
Coming Undone
Children of the Korn
Falling Away From Me
Twisted Transistor
Oh Yes ✌🏼
Korn is my favorite band, out of all the bands lmao. Great reaction, more songs to react to that I haven’t seen by anyone else (or not that many people) is Good God, Swallow, Did my time, Trash, Clown, Lost & No place to hide.. more common reactions that are good songs (just too many people react to the same songs) Freak on a leash, Falling away from me, coming undone, Got the life (but that’s a personal fav so not really a complaint) & ofc this song but this is the song that started it all so overall it’s great song to react to especially if you’re just getting into Korn. Personally, their album Life Is Peachy is my #1 favorite & then their self titled “debut” album.
They came out in the late 90's. I saw them live the first year they came out. They were very different in terms of their creativity and style. I crashed my car on the way home after the show when a freak snowstorm happened during the show. Been a lifelong fan of theirs ever since. Too many great songs to mention. Enjoying your reaction style. Stay freestyle.
I’m a hiphop head but back in the day I went to a korn concert they sound just like this live this video is so nostalgic thank you
This is the band that got me into music and being a musician back in 1999. The good ol' days. This song and video was release in 1994 tho.
NICE🔥🔥🔥🔥 FREAK ON A LEASH (song) IS ONE OF MY FAVS FROM KORN!! Great job! Can’t wait for my hoodies!!! 🤘🏻✌🏼 HAPPY 8K!!!!
Deann Dragoun bennett THANK YOU Again For Everything Dee Bennett! You are DEFINITELY The Sugar Honey Iced Tea!!!
LFR FAMILY on ur list!!
My brother and Jonathan had a band before he went to korn & my bro wrote this. This song takes me back to battle of the bands when they won & rocked the house with this jam🤍
KoRn did a song with Ice-Cube... Bassist "fieldy" is a gigantic rap fan.... You'd probably love it :) Watch it with us?
Fieldy has a rap album called "Fieldys dreams"
The song is called “Children of the Korn”
Check out their video for FREAK ON A LEASH
EZisme71 it’s coming it’s on his list🥰🥰
Hed Pe!! Metal/punk mixed with hip hop. Songs, Renegade, Suffa, Ken 2012, Killing Time, Bartender, Ground or Blackout. Thx & keep the great reactions coming 👊🤘
Ken 2012 is one of my favorite tracks of all time. So many ups and downs in the energy in that track.
@@elemento1991 same here👊
Do "Freak On A Leash". Great song, great video! And as an Hip-Hop fan you really should check "Twisted Transistor" official video. Great cameos ;)
Love watching crew experience a new genre (that I love). Metal, in all its forms as been under valued in recent years imo so it's really great to see people loving it😄😄😄
he hit an 808 electronic soung. just like in beat making!
Man it's crazy. I just commented on your last video that you should check out KORN and then BAM! you put this video out.
This is a good song to start with. I saw them live back in 2004 and thay came out of the gates with this song, when we heard the first guitar cords the energy began to build in the crowd then he let's out the "ARE YOU READY!!!" and the place just exploded, everyone went nuts and was moshing in the mud (it had just finished pouring down rain). It was something I'll never forget.
Uhhhhhmm.... is Van playing KoRn? My favorite band? It just became a great Monday. :)
I love your diversity and your love for music of all genres. Music is music, and you have great taste.
Korn Blind live at Woodstock'99 is the best version of the song
This is a great song at a concert when you hear that intro every one goes nuts. It’s 🔥
Live your outlook on music man! I'm in!
That thing you are asking about in the drum kit is some form of electronic pad. Hitting it triggers the playing of that ultra low bass.
Thank you for your korn reactions!!!!
I love your chanel!
Greets from Germany 🇩🇪❤
I can respect someone going outside their main taste in music and listen to new stuff. Have a good one.
Nice Reaction .... I'm loving all the reactions where people who have always listened to RnB, Hip Hop, etc are checking out Rock, metal, etc. Awesome. Me personally, I grew up with EVERYTHING .... RnB, Rock, Hip Hop, Metal, Reggae, Funk, etc.
One Favourite, I don't see reacted to: COCHISE (official video) by AUDIOSLAVE.
Korn songs to react to, in no particular order. Watch lyric or official video
1.Freak on a leash
2. make me bad
3. shoots and ladders
4. falling away from me
5. Clown
These are just what popped into my head, they have an amazing discography, I prefer their earlier work from the 90s. Love your reactions, do more Korn and Tool🙏🤗
This is a list of popular korn songs after see blind 1-Korn - Coming Undone. 2- koRn - Freak On A Leash. 3- Korn - Falling Away from Me. 4- Korn - Rotting In Vain. 5- korn_youll never find me official video .6- korn cold. 7-Korn - 'Sabotage' Featuring Slipknot live in London
Korn is a great band. Quite a few good songs.
Awesome video 🤘🏻
Great reaction dude. Korn is always in my heart. I picked this album as a top 10 influential albums in my life. Please if you get chance react to sevendust one of the best voices in metal. You will love it
Van... thank you for reacting to this awesome band/song - burn the shirt, though! 😆 Know your views already, so I know you wore it to spark conversation! It's rare today, isn't it?! That is genius! 🤣 Love you ❤️ from Mesa, AZ 🌵
That little drum is a trigger pad which has an 808 kick drum in it. Classic sound heard on a lot of hip-hop.
The thing the drummer hit is a synth bass drum, 808 I think, the one they use in hip hop
I'm a new subscriber to the channel but Korn had been my favorite band since 2003.
Saw them live a few weeks ago at Pine Knob in Michigan. The crowd went crazy when they played this song!
I'm gonna go see if you have reacted to the drum cam version of Tool - Pneuma, if you haven't you should definitely look into that since you like drums.
The thing he hit for that bass note is a drum pad, basically a programmable drum that can make any sound you want.
Edit: I don't see it in your video list unless I missed it, please bro. Danny Carey - Pneuma
I second this ...the drum pad is called a tabla
Dude it’s the outrro that galvanizes it. It worked!!!!!
808 drops are pretty popular in metal these days, but korn was one of the earlier bands to use them a lot. David is just hitting an electric drum pad of some sort (any will work) hooked up to either a drum module or any kind of module that has 808 drum samples programmed. He hits it when he wants and BOOOOOM 808 drop.
This song is so fun to play on bass! I subscribed a few nights ago after seeing your metal stuff and have checked out your rap stuff too. You’re such a genuine dude and you give some great reactions! I left a comment on your video reacting to “One” by Metallica explaining a ton of the story behind it, so you should definitely go check that out!
That was a MIDI drum trigger like in electronic drum kits used to trigger sampled sounds. In this case a nice 808 sub-bass
Korn is my favorite band of all time!!! More korn plz!!!
That "drum" that you're talking about is actually a trigger control, and he added a sample to that controller which was the 808 kit bass
Been following your kids channels. That dark place, whatever it is, helped you be a good father. Props to you.
Shows intelligence to open up your mind. I love all music
Got the life, falling away from me, freak on a leash, make me bad all by Korn my all time favourite band and I’m a hip hop head.
You want some more KORN check out
1.shoots and ladders
2. A.D.I.D.A.S
3. Daddy ( warning very serious and emotional song)
4. Freak on a leash ( one of the biggest singles)
5. Here to stay
6. Got the life
7. Did my time
8. Wicked (hip hop remix)
Everyone is this band is a great musician and Jonathan Davis is the Edgar Allen Poe of metal. Cool fact, both guitar players play a 7 sting guitar instead of 6. One of the first bands to do so and how they get such deep guitar tones when they tune them down.... I also love your mixture of music that you react to. I like it all too. Korn has a song w Ice Cube, and Limp Bizkit has a song w Method Man. Both are good.
I've explained it twice before about korn. But I think the best explanation for korn is to see it because we can't explain how good they are
I suggested a list of korn songs to listen to. Comment on it
Awesome song .and im a korn day zero ..furst rime i skipped school was too watch this debut song on much music wayy back😎
Do “y’all want a single” it’s a fun song, a big fu to the recording company. Make sure you get the uncensored one tho
You should be at their concert when this song comes on...
Here to stay, right now songs by Korn to check out
17 years strong over 13 albums BOOM!
Man when you reference every rock star being. A Poet....DAMNN NB
Respects fella ol skoo
At 1:53 that's an electric drum pad that triggers the low 808. First 'metal' band using an 808 to my knowledge
It's an electronic drum, the sound it's programmed to make is a deep bass sound.
Early KORN, yasssssss! I'm just gonna say, any Korn song you find, is gonna be a banger.. just go down the list and do them all. You will not regret it!!!!
ARE YOU READY????? 🤘
@LFR FAMILY that thing he hits in the beginning is an 808 drum pad.
You're awesome dude
Alright, here's the deal. I've watched about 31 of your vids since subscribing yesterday. I love it all so far, but now I have a mission. I'm going to keep suggesting the Danny Carey video of TOOL, PNEUMA until either A) I discover you've already done it, or B) you do it. I'm doing this for us I promise haha
Stay the course. Enjoying your life road trip down Rock & Metal Rabbit Hole. Like your crash course approach.
You gotta check this song out live at Woodstock 99 the crowd is CRAZY! Also if you could listen to got the life by Korn would be great because all the reactors do freak on a leash which is a great song but I never see anyone do got the life. Keep up the good songs and great reactions!
it was a digital pad that can be set to different things such as that deep bass
If you want something different, check out Nightwish- Ghost Love Score live from wacken 2013. It's symphonic metal and is very poetic! It's a long video but worth it! I'm a Hip Hop Head too but am liking the rock reactions! 🤘🏼🤘🏼 #VerseFam
" COMING UNDONE" Is a GREAT song by these guys, Also, Check out the song "NOBODY" by the Band SKINDRED
"What is that" its like a bass drop or I think its called "thud" pad. 1:53 Basically a trigger pad
That was an electronic element
This album is epic fam
I'd love to see you react to the official video for twisted transistor.
If you want dark, check out “Daddy” off the first album. At the end Jon Davis actually breaks down into tears because the song lays open all of the torment of his childhood.
Realness for sure #kornation
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 *I COPPED THAT LFR FAM HOODIE!!*
I love watching you do the rock videos. You should check out some more korn and slipknot. Korn has a new album. A few good songs on there are idiosyncrasy, ringmaster, this loss, gravity of discomfort, the darkness is revealing. And slipknot has alot of good songs as well
Gotta do "Got the life" and "Did my time"
Hey B, one track you need to check out by them (that no one ever reacts to) is Play Me - the track features Nas... Yes, THAT Nas.
Back in time with this song, was like 16yrs old or somting 😂🤘
I have the drummer from Korn was the lead singer for pumpkin heads
It's probably a trigger pad, can program different sound effects to it, get that deep sound effect
Dope reaction as always!!!! And for HIP HOP/RAP , please do HOPSIN.. ILL MIND OF HOPSIN 5 ........HOPSIN.. ILL MIND OF HOPSIN 5....... HOPSIN.. ILL MIND OF HOPSIN 5 plleeeaase!
You could do a whole separate reaction to Korn - Blind (Live at Woodstock 99). The beginning intro where everything kicks in is probably one of the wildest crowds ever seen. It blows my mind every time I see it on video. Nothing like seeing 100k plus people going absolutely ape sugar honey ice tea. If you don't do a reaction, at least check out the video and respond to this comment to let me know what you think. Great reaction man. Digging your videos. Keep up the good work.
KORN "Coming Undone" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This same song but live, woodstock 99' AMAZING!
My top three.
Check out
1 Raga against the machine
Maria
2. Slipknot
Metabolic
3. Korn
Beat it upright
You gotta check out twisted transistors featuring snoop lil Jon and xzibit it’s hilarious and a good song
Here to stay koRn
Korn has that rhythm that makes you want to bop your head!!
Watching this takes me back to high school
KoRn has Synth pads as part of their kit... it's even crazier now.. this was their first hit ... 92 I think?
94*
@@matiasrenerodriguezrojas3740 yeah. .. I'm not sure I know they had blind before they were famous .. and have heard recordings from earlier... probably easier just to look up when it charted instead
You check what you want. I like watching.
Drum Bro is sick !!!!!
