Or it could be all the stupid rules and regulations in the USA. In many ways it would be cheaper to modernize our power plants and refineries which are very old. We have clean coal technology and better tech for other plants especially chemical. Of course big brother would rather demonize industry and drive them out of our country then provide solutions.

Its always bad in India and other places, when its bad where I live I always pray for them and loose my mind at how people can still think that dry cough and head aches and elevated temperatures are a "mutant covid 19 strain" of a virus but its not even a bug its SO2 and many many other things basically everything in the periodic table from smog fire smoke victems fire fighters people living in bad smog etc including burn victems hard to get burned badly in unintentional fire situation with out breathing in too much smoke aswell. The kids in India they all have stuff in their lungs like smokers like these "patches" on peoples lungs they called "covid 19" the world believes it dishonoring the real front liners of modern world that is fire fighters keeping this ship from sinking for as long as possible and dishonering kids dying from air pollution where it already hits deadly levels pre global fire era it was still bad pollution from everything in those same places now China wan't to cut off the water and flood them with a mega dam that should never be built that big ever anywhere. India is getting sacked from all directions :( prayers for India. Same for America for Americans who already lived in poverty and those wealthy Indians arriving trying to escape the stink our nations of US and Canada are in political turmoil with other powers of the world and within and other nations are too busy to help as well. Prayers for the world, prayers for rain it makes the air easier to breath and will end this madness

    I live in Las Vegas.
The poorer people live in East Las Vegas and North Las Vegas.
The ground elevation is lower in those areas, so polluted air does collect more frequently in those areas.
Any rich area is at higher elevation where the air is cleaner.

FORMULATED MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX WILL CAPTURE THAT BLACK CARBON SPEWING FROM THE WORLDS INDUSTRIAL SMOKESTACKS
The solution for capturing carbon was discovered in my lab and candle shop over 40 years ago. I knew back then that this was going to come to this day. I had to search for the answer and did. The heat loss from a smokestack can be forced or harnessed into a large tank containing hot liquid microcrystalline petroleum wax. The heat will keep the wax in a molten state which facilitate the carbon to be absorbed when combined with the wax. Carbon when mixed with wax reacts like a dye. The wax-carbon amalgamation will result in a black wax solution thereby making it impossible for the carbon to escape into the environment while in a liquid state. Other toxic particles are also captured in the wax settling at the bottom of the tank as a sludge. A sludge release valve is located at the bottom of the tank. After the sludge is removed more wax is replaced in the tank working something like a toilet. The sludge becomes a byproduct that can be used as an additive to asphalt for roads or used for cocooning nuclear waste materials for long-term safe burial. The entropy of the Earth has been increasing at a startling rate since the beginning of the industrial revolution caused mainly by the carbon that is released into the atmosphere. Government scientists have failed to stop and prevent carbon pollution from entering the environment. This problem can only worsen until a solution is found before this problem becomes irreversible. It has been discovered that formulated wax has been shown to be the only answer to this problem.
      PREVENTING SPREADING RADIATION:
This formulated wax will also help prevent the spread of radiation such as preventing the escape of Plutonium dust particles from nuclear reactors or from structures or buildings housing radioactive materials. In 1994 This method was successfully demonstrated on the Sarcophagus of Chernobyl's blown-out reactor # 4 that was leaking Plutonium dust particles through open seems. In 1995 formulated wax tape was used to cocoon radioactive metal that had spat out of the reactor at the time of the explosion for safe long-term burial. In 1993 a wax membrane method was used in the yard of an abandoned house about five miles from Chernobyl to demonstrate how to reclaim radioactive contaminated territories for re-cultivation.
I have been researching wax for solving mankind created environmental problems since 1969. As I aged, I discovered many other uses for wax such as making candles or replicas of people's hands. This led to coating the hand castings with latex rubber. After the latex had cured, I inserted latex rubber tubing a quarter of an inch tubing in the tips of each finger that was sealed with the latex. After the latex had cured, I was able to pull the end of the tubing that caused the fingers to contract. By pulling the ends of all five tubs the hand would close or grip and was able to pick up things such as a pencil or jelly beans just like a normal hand would do. The end result would act like a normal hand. I was able to color the hand to match the color tone of the hand that I replicated. The end result was a prosthesis hand. Through the years I have discovered many other uses of formulated wax for solving environmental problems: Here is a list of confirmed uses since 1969.
OTHER USES FOR SOLVING POLLUTION PROBLEMS USING WAX:
      • Remove oil spills from dry or wet sand, soil, water, ice This method was demonstrated for the Canadian government in 1974 to remove oil from a beach on Passage Island. This method was demonstrated to the US Coast Guard on two occasions, one in Hawaii and the other in the state of Texas demonstrated to the Canadian Coast Guard on two occasions. Oil can be removed from beach sand as though it was a giant carpet More demos were shown to the Canadian press on three occasions.
      • Preventing radiation leaking from reactors, buildings, and storage facilities. This method was used to prevent Plutonium dust particles from escaping into the environment from open cracks and seams on the Sarcophagus of Chernobyl's blown out reactor # 4 in 1994
      • Cocooning asbestos coated pipes wiring for safe removable This was demonstrated in the basement of an apt building that has 319 feet of loose asbestos
      • Cocooning radioactive waste for a long term safe burial. This method was demonstrated in Chernobyl by removing a 4” x 5 ‘ rusting metal tubing that was buried and coating half the tubing with a special microcrystalline wax and then re buried.
      • Removing radioactive contaminated hot spots from soil surfaces approx. 4 feet square in Chernobyl in 1995
      • Preventing uranium mine tailing particles from becoming airborne in 1987 by laying a wax membrane on the mine tailing surface in Elliot Lake Ontario.
      • Preventing radon gas from entering into homes or buildings demonstrated on three homes having very high Radon levels where 95% of the Radon was blocked.
      • Preventing crushed coal dust particles from escaping moving open rail car trains was demonstrated in 1975 by spraying hot microcrystalline wax on the exposed coal surface to prevent the coal particles from becoming airborne while the train was in motion.
      • Preventing fly or bottom ash pile dust particles from becoming airborne Removing bunker oil, diesel fuel, gasoline transformer oil demonstrated for Ontario Hydro in Kinston Ontario in 1991

The air quality in Central and West Texas used to be clear and clean, but now there are very few days the air quality is “good”, most days it starts out “moderate” goes into “unhealthy for sensitive groups”. Very often we have days that are “unhealthy”, and several times a year “very unhealthy” with NO NOTIFICATION OR WARNING TO THE PUBLIC. New Years Eve 2019 the air quality in most of South and Central Texas was “Hazardous” and no warnings were issued.
This is a real crisis and the government at all levels is complicit in a failure to warn and inform the public of the dangers. Local news stations make light, pithy announcements that sound like a reminder to put on sunscreen, “We have some air quality issues out there today so if your sensitive you might want to take precautions.” What the hell does that even mean?
When I inquired of a federal government agency as to the cause of the “Hazardous” air quality on 1-1-2019 the response was that it was “probably some new coal fired power plants in Mexico”, but they were not sure. There is what should be considered criminal level negligence going on and it’s being glossed over by those responsible for overseeing public health.
Over 100,000 people a year die (as stated in this video) from poor air quality, an untold millions of others negatively impacted, and there is no sense of urgency to clean up the air quality.
Indifferent politicians who only cater to their corporate sponsors, and pretend to care about whatever the crisis of the month is for fund raising purposes, are culpable in every death from poor air quality. Even so-called progressives have never mentioned NATION-WIDE BAD AIR QUALITY as anything that needs to be addressed. Deadbeat bureaucrats who live in CYA mode have no incentive to do anything about the problem.
What good is a healthy economy if there is no healthy air?

It will be a big improvement when all these plants are replaced with green energy sources. Sure it’ll cost more, but everything is costing more in reaction to pandemic related production halts in other countries. And guess what? People are still buying goods. Where Is Greta Thunberg?
It seems as though the world is on the fast lane toward cleaning the car industry from polluting emissions. Everyone is rushing to create clean cars, whether battery or hydrogen powered engines, and bask in their cleanness.
But the green alibi hides behind it a dirty truth: Zero emission does not mean zero pollution. Mining rare Earth materials required for zero-emissions engines, building charging stations, and the complex logistics surrounding the “clean” industries will take a heavy toll on Earth. In the end, the only ones who will gain from the “clean revolution” are the tycoons who are selling it to us, and the government officials who placate them for their own reasons.
Where is Greta Thunberg these days? Like the rest of the pawns in the battle for wealth and power, the “climate knights” have sent her back to oblivion once they finished using her. It is all power games among giant corporations, but the environment and the climate are no one’s concern.
Even if we switch to wind energy or ocean-wave energy, I don’t believe that we will gain much. We will have to pay for it elsewhere.
For this reason, I think that the crux of the problem is not emissions, but our behavior toward nature and toward our fellow human beings. Here is where we can produce positive and lasting results. If we could communicate with one another positively, we could stop the madness of excessive development that manufactures unnecessary and harmful products.
If we could slow down a bit, we wouldn’t need to burn so much fuel in order to defeat competitors in a race for wealth that makes no one happy. Only if we realize that our happiness depends on the quality of our relationships, and not on the padding of our bank accounts, we will be able to pause a little, think, and rebuild our civilization in a way that contributes to nature, to humanity, and to each of us.
